If they restarted the servers it would most likely fix a lot for peoples problems, but so far they have not even done that. Maybe they have but they are not telling us so we don't know. for all I know they could be opening another bottle of champagne! But seriously a restart would most likely fix a lot of problems.

Food will probably give you benefits to fortitude, currently having a balanced diet gives 40. If you have 60 people then some should put more points into weight than others, or make multiple trips. These are the same people who made ark where you cant respect at all once you hit max level (Mayb you can after defeating all the bosses I donno). It use to be you could everytime you ate a certain item, then they capped that to once per level. People complained and they didn't do anything and sadly they wont do that here either. There will be ways to augment your stats etc. Besides Once you reach a certain age your character will probably die and then you will be level 1 again (I don't know if that is what happens but it sure as hell wouldn't surprise me.

At max level you would either trade someone for an item you need if your solo, or have a friend learn different things from you. Plus you can also get blueprints for virtually everything but that would be a massive grind. But I suspect the respec will be removed once they are happy with the skills balance. Thus forcing you to either team up with others, confront others with violence, or resort to trading. Also there is a trading vessel but I do not know what they actually sell other than a dragon

In ARK you could craft an item but it was only once per level, I rather prefer the fact that I can respect when I level, but I wouldn't complain if I could respect once per in real life day

Your water was waaaaaay too shallow. That boat didnt stand a chance, remember its a biiiiig boat, it will drop further into the water, i think it drops something like 6 walls down, so about half of your gatewaye needs to be submerges at least for it to safely drop into the water.

In freeports a ship at full health will last just over 8 hours (from what players have noticed) so if you sail into newport be ready for a much larger damage over time, your ship will have naturally taken damage from the seas as that always happens (anchoring helps to balance that but doesnt apply in freeports). So if even 1 of your 30+ planks on a brigantine has taking a little bit of a beating and it breaks, the rest will break rapidly. Chances are that one of the front planks was weak (the front seems to take more damage when travelling than the rest of the boat) and it broke and this caused your ship to rupture rapidly. Now if a plabk has 10k health and decays in 8 hours, a ship with 7.5k health in amy plank will sink in 6 hours. Assuming someone else doesnt ram a raft into it because that might alao hurt your ship. Long story short is freeports are there for quick stops i.e recruiting others, maybe gathering some resources etc. But if you plan to stay longer you nesd to repair EVERY SINGLE PLANK ON THE BOAT EVERY 6 HOURS OR SO. otherwise you sink. I got to watch someone elses brigantine sink (whatever the second largest boat was) and the blat was there for most of the day.
