  1. For all the PVP players there is a game called World of Warships, pure PVP, so you don't have to experience the other content that is put in Atlas. Like power stones, and mini bosses, bosses, trading, flotsam, sunken plunder, ghost ships etc. If Atlas was meant to be played PvP then why would they create all this extra nonsensical fluff that has nothing to do with PvP? Why wouldn't they just make another World of Warships?
  2. Then you're playing it wrong. Why not have your 15 guys on 15 boats for an armada with npc crews? Like, your logic is so flawed. MMO just means there is tons of people online in the same world. MMO doesn't mean you HAVE to be in a 10-100 person Company to succeed. The only time you should need 10-100 people is for end game raids and bosses. Not for random exploring etc. Ya'll elitists need to stop crying if anything. 2x rate is fine, so you can build and explore. And with the given amount of ways to have your boat sunk by others, even on PVE, this will compensate for the current issues. Give people a chance to explore all the claimed islands lol.
  3. Sometimes my animal tames and ship crew glitch out and start hovering away from the ship. If you don't notice quick enough they are too far away to whistle them down from space. Lost a Bear that was flying to the moon, Watched a crew member slowly slide across the ocean. Had an Elephant just disappear while I was fighting an alpha wolf. No death messages for the Tames or crew. They just floated off lol. We'll all float on anyway, I guess.
  4. There is a special super secret technique to 1 shot cyclopses. That is all i will say though good luck.
  5. Sap is any sugars. Maple syrup, sugar cane, sugar, etc. Edit: (I think honey works as well too, so all the bees nests) Mortar and pestle - 1 sap 1 flint. OR Hatchet up scorpions, they'll drop 1-2 per scorpion.

  8. Please Admin kill all ghost ships. By my estimation we're at at least 22,500 Ghost ships across the world. That's 100 ships per sector. And the number is probably far greater. Please limit the ghost ships to MAX 5 per map. They shouldn't spawn as often as a Tuna.
  9. I completely understand where you are coming from. And will probably agree with you in 2-3 years. If we want to be realists, then we should note this game is extremely EA. It's a cool concept if they can pull it off. You're just saying they are basically done and doing the bare minimum now that they made their money. Yet it's still daily updates. Early Access, they said there was still 2-3 more years of development. And in all reality Ark was a great game because of unofficial servers. Tons of people spent good time on there. And this game isn't bad, they just are pushing out silly things when there are bigger issues to be working on. Not balancing the game, but adding quality content (in some cases means balancing). Being realist here, I can tell you that neither of us know for sure where this game will go. My OP was to bring to light easy quick fixes and what should be done, and as I'm sure is what people expected the ghost ships to be. I'm trying to be constructive and you're just pooping on the parade with no constructive comments. So I tip my hat to you sir and bid you good day.

  11. The only reason there is a massive fleet of rafts now is because of the ghost ships. Sure the maps are big enough for 3-5, but where's the ghost ship illusion? At night only under starry skies and moonlit nights. Or coming out of severe nighttime typhoons! Not just have them spawn in with a % chance like every other creature.
  12. Just tried sailing away on my sloop thinking they were fixed. So real talk here GrapeShot: Ghost Ships - What's wrong with them now? 1. They attack anything larger then a raft, so now we have raft simulator 2. They spawn in crazy amounts on every server it seems. 3. They are too fast, seem to ignore wind? Not sure but you can't outrun them in a sloop. 4. Everyone is stuck on whatever Island they are currently on because of ghost ships. Ghost Ships - What they should be! 1. An insanely rare spawn, 10% the rate of Tornado storms on the sea. 2. Should only spawn at night. 3. Should not attack at minimum sloops or smaller. Or do a gold check on the Boats. If Ghost ship level 1. Maybe they'll attack people with 100+ gold on ship etc. 4. NEVER should there ever be 1 Ghost ship per server. 5. Ghost ship should be so rare of an encounter it frightens you, and only the top players will risk the battle with them. 6. Have 1-3 ghost ships on entire world and have them travel around and people can track and kill them. Ghost Ship Quick Fixes: 1. Disable them for now, they are ruining any experience for the majority of players. 2. Leave them out of game until the above fixes and changes have been made. And I'm talking RARE, and max 1 per sector. Anyways I really hope the Grapeshot team Sees this and let me know what you think. Upvotes would be nice if you agree, let the Devs see this as a possible solution to the problem.
  13. NA PVE server Sector 'K9' Is getting constant rollbacks. I've farmed 20k wood and only have 2500 to show for it, the rollbacks are every 15-30 mins, and sometimes rolls back as far as the last roll back. Not sure how many servers are being affected by this. As for the skill trees. 1 point, 2 point, 3 points max. Smithy costing 8 points?!?! I can make a ship without cannons. I can make a ship but have no captaineering skill. There is no way anyone can even touch cooking/farming, medicine, piracy, etc all those extra specialized skills anymore because everyone needs the basics. Bow, boats, tools, and building. I'm level 45 and struggle to have enough of just the basics. Which I managed Barely! Anyways, the skill tree needs a redesign and maybe just keep all the skills at 1 point for now so people can explore the game and report about the skills. Focus on other things like the claim issue in PVE servers. Cap it at 1 flag per company and the area of effect is bigger over time, or based on company size. Allow putting beds on Lawless islands. Or better yet make all PVE maps Lawless so you can actually build. Fix the ghost ships only have 1 ghost ship on the whole map that floats around as a super rare end game boss fight kinda thing.Have smaller more manageable pirate boats floating around that aren't insane to fight off. OR make it so ghost ships can't come within 2x firing range of any island. Fix the server problems (K9 NA PVE). Right now there are way bigger issues then nerfing the skill tree, because now way less people are going to play. No one can enjoy the game if they are level 20 or lower. Good MMO's should be solo'able, and require parties and raids for End-Game content. Not require a party of 50 people (so you always have enough online) as soon as you start to get anywhere. Love the Game so far, but this update should have just added flotsam, bottles and ghost ships. Not kill the game with the skill tree nerf. (and not the crazy ghost ships)
  14. This is where I think most people agree on. Even when skills cost 1 per, I am level 45 and didn't fill out any skill trees fully. But everyone should have access to the basics. Smithy, metal tools, hide armor, melee weapons and bows, and shipbuilding. Everything else is extra and 1 player should only be able to max out the extra skills. Exp: Artillery, BeastMastery, Captaineering, Repairing, Cooking, Medicine, Piracy etc. All good MMO's allow you to solo play if you want and not be worse off then anyone else. The good MMO's require larger groups for the End Game content. So limiting players to do basic things just to play is a bad design. Besides now people level 20 and under cant do anything. Either they choose to get a bow, or they choose to make a sloop. As many have said "Look I can make this spear! But can't make the storage box to hold it....."
