Days? LOL that is the DEFINITION of lazy. Days are NOTHING. Get on your boat, get some sea legs and sail for WEEKS searching islands and you will find land. Can you visit EVERY island in days? No way. So, until you visit all the islands, yes, you are being lazy. Stop with the millennial mindset of "someone give it to me because I demand it" and go earn it like the countless of other players in the game. You want to come here and cry about not finding land in days, thats fine, but you will never find land. So instead of earning your land, just keep coming her and crying. Im sure it will do a bunch of good.

This being a skin of Ark, its not gonna happen. FYI, as suggested you can host your own server and play there (same as offline). I did this for quite some time on Ark, infact I had friends play on my server.

We didnt get land at the beginning either. We mistakenly spawned at M5 server that crashed day 1 and was down for the whole first week. The land grab was well over when we started looking. Since then, we found 4 different places all over the map to claim. It was only 2 weeks ago that we found our permanent spot, so yes, there is still land out there for sure. The defeatist attitude coupled with the "someone give it to me" though process is not doing you any favors. Be like the vast majority and quit whining, grow some sea legs and start searching. Island by island and you will eventually find land. FYI, during a resources run, we found land in the southern H and G regions just last weekend. Sleepers are there to force players to go back to a base point (thats safe) to sleep. To avoid dying and taking a chance on losing your claim. I for one sleep in a concrete room within another room, within another room, within yet another room (4 layers) because of the snake glitching. All of these servival games include sleeping (ark, conan, etc.) and it would be wierd without it. Just my 2 cents.

Dont know about that, I personally have died several times when I logged out with less than half food/water before. I make it a point to dump my gear before logging off. No, I was not being attacked by animals. My sleeping quarters is a stone room within a stone room within another stone room (learned this from Conan Exiles lol) and nothing broke in. Again, if any of you are waiting to steal someones claim, your praying for a unicorn. Get out and find your own land, quit being lazy. It may take some time, but there is claimable land.

Yes, 100% without a doubt in PVE NA there is claimable land. I found not one, two, or even 3, I found 4 claimable places on 4 different Isles in my travels. Resources on a claimed piece of land is irrelevant. If you find a piece of land with limited resources, well, you have a boat lol. Where I am settled now has limited resources but its in a good place so its worth transporting the resources. Also, no, I do not mind paying the tax to my nieghbors.

Guess you never played Ark. The claim system is there for a reason. So everyone regardless of company size can have an opportunity to have land. Ark had no claim system and it was pretty common to build a structure, have some larger company come in, destroy all your stuff, wipe out your tames and take you land. With the claim system, smaller companies like ours can build without fear of someone ganking our shit while we sleep.

No, it is not a bug. It is designed so active players cannot be screwed out of their land. Yes, sleepers can die (I have) if they run out of food and water. If you are building next to a claimed land hoping that the owner doesnt play anymore, you are hoping for a purple unicorn. Give up taking someones existing land, get on a boat and go find land. Regardless of what you hear, there is claimable land.

Bogus poll. Where are the "change nothing" options? Creating a poll with only choices that YOU want to see is nothing more than a poll for whining babies. I have no issues with 1 person, 1 claim, but I have no issue with people putting down foundations in lawless to keep their landing spots for resources. TLK Bones is right. Sounds like a bunch of whining mellinnials who didnt get their participation trophy. Go play the game like the rest of us and you wont be so far behind ya bunch of complaining little girls. Sure, if a creature is too OP, a weapon is too weak, glitches, etc. That is what forums are for, to fix broken parts of the game. So you fellas want to punish those of us who actually searched for land, claimed it and maintained it while you were too lazy to search? Sounds like a bunch of sour grapes from a bunch of millennials to me. Quit whining, get on your boat, and go find your own land. Its out there, quit expecting everyone to hand you everything. Work for it. If you do and someone comes on your land and takes your resources, you too will expect compensation. Thats how this works. The land owner isn't getting 30% for nothing, he/she is getting it for putting in the time and effort to find the land. Edit: I thought I should add that we do not currently tax anyone yet. Yet being the key word. When I rank up enough to get the bank, be sure its going in!

Want to avoid this? Simple. Stay the EFF off other peoples boats. After the weight sinking thing, Im happy scrubs that hop on my boat that I built using my time will will have to kill themselves to play. Teaches a valuable lesson. Keep your hands off other people stuff. I have never had this happen to me. You know why? I stay off other peoples property.

There is claimable land in NA PVE for sure. Stop thinking youre gonna sail for an hour and find something. I sailed around to many islands and found 4 different spots that I was able to claim (from south central to north east. Once you find one, build a safehouse and sleep in it so no one can take your land. Land is out there for those adventurous types that are willing to look. I actually have a small base on a lawless isle with a shipyard two servers south of me that I frequent as well. It is there, just go find it!

There are land claims available for sure. If you think sailing to one or two islands youre gonna find one, keep dreaming. That being said, I have found 4 places so far to claim (settled on my favorite). There is land out there, you just have to learn to sail and have patience. may take you a couple of weeks (like it did me) but you will find land. As far as taxation? I have no issues with it. If someone is going to wipe out my resources, I expect compensation and have no issues paying my neighbor his 30% to harvest his.

Without having to read through the mountains of posts, I will say there are claimable land in PVE NA, you just have to look. Sailing around for a couple of hours and complaining about no land is a cop out. Actually Sail around for some time and check every Island. I see the same complaint all the time, and giggle since I've found not one, not two, not three, but 4 different places to claim land (I settled on a great spot last week). I found them down in the south central and south west. There is absolutely claimable land, you just have to search for it. FYI, you can spend weeks searching (which many do), so dont lose hope, just be patient! Also, FYI, there is a big difference between THERE, THEIR, and THEY'RE. Grammar police out!

Yeah, I am not that high of a level. Sure, I bet its not bad at all when youre level 50, but 20 sucks lol. They are making the game more balanced though, Gators were slowed down a bit which helps. Wolves and snakes are next hopefully!

Yeah wolves are seriously OP and aggro way too far out. Atlas is nothing more than a dying simulator. Wolves are way too fast. Cant outrun em, cant see em till its too late. Between the 4 million gators on each isle to the 16 million wolves in the desert (which dont actually have wolves IRL), and the 55billion snakes per foot, this is not a survival game but a practice dying game. I say this as a avid Ark player.

In the OP defense, the first week of the game for many if not most players was completely unplayable. Not because of computer issues, but server issues. I spawned on day 1 at a free port (I or M5 I believe) and 20 min after launch the server went down and stayed down for 4 days. so day 1-4 I had a character locked in an offline server. The first hour in this game is crucial! It will be a great game once they get it balanced and fair. To the OP, I too switched from PVP to PVE and sailed for the last couple of weeks trying to find land. I found not one, but two spots. Sure, you have to contest someones claim, but it only takes 1/2 to 1 hour. I have done this twice. Now I have land, but I cant survive long enough because there are way too many crocks, snakes and wolves and they are seriously Overpowered. Crocks are faster than the boats haha! If you do decide to play PVE, we have a small group of clanmates who are playing this. We have a little corner of an Isle. You are welcome to join up with us and play any time. Our discord channel is under MGC . Remember, there is strength in numbers! We are currently on NA PVE. I am generally on around 6 or 7 EST.

Thanks! I will try that if I can even build my base lol. As I said, 3 days in and I was able to make 2 wood foundations, a bed and a storage box. I had a gator babysitting my sloop for over an hour and every time I spawned, he would attack my sloop and kill me. eventually I walked away for 2 hours and was able to move my boat away from them, but I know im in for the same mess tonite!

I have traveled to roughly 20 different islands to the same result. Over saturated gators and wolves everywhere. The gators attack you in the water and are faster than the boats so they just keep killing us when we spawn on the sloop. Over and over. I died over 30 times last night because of it. Once you hit land, the Wolves are so OP that you are dead instantly. They outrun you too so you cannot run or hide. Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with them? We found a claim spot, but in 3 days I can barely touch land or stay alive long enough on the boat to do anything. There are at minimum 15 gators within attacking distance. Even if we kill some, more spawn in. Never ending cycle of death lol. I am hoping the patch that helps the bow from breaking after a couple hours helps, but man it seems as if the game is soley based on gators, wolves and giant snakes. If anyone has any tips to help me out, I would really appreciate your input!

Hey Peggy, just FYI, hosting a unofficial server is only one region, not the entire map. The OP is correct that the huge guilds are killing the game, look at the twitch streams! Dropped like a rock in the ocean! I stopped playing PVP until they do something about it. I couldnt even touch land without being wiped out.
