  1. The only dificult part of packs is looting all the boxes, the rest is stupidly easy. Among other things i'm solo leveling a schooner with 10 medium cannons, no bps and all of them in a gunport, so no rear cannons, and only had problems twice that a galley volley destroyed one of my planks.
  2. Unless they changed it back and i missed it in the patch notes, max level for ships has been 52 for a while.
  3. i was hoping 52 x ship quality, but who knows. Considering how big is the grind now to level up after 30 it will take some time untill we can figure this out. I like how they solved the infinite run improved ship problem btw.
  4. I wasn't a fan of splitting such a small playerbase into two pvp servers in the first place, but once you decided to go that way, this is ridiculous. Big clans decided to stretch the rules of the small company server refusing to play in the server you made for them and you reward them with a 50% bigger player limit... I really don't understand this. It's been just one week and we are already seeing that kind of join me or i will zerg you attitude.
  5. If it's 1 per minute is 1440 gold coins a day, but i agree the cost is insane. I can't think of anything you could sell that would make your shop profitable with those fees. A very small daily fee like 1% of what you have to pay now and a small cut on every sale would make much more sense to me.
  6. I know, i've played non stop since launch until 2-3 weeks before wipe. It's not broken unless they want tames to be mandatory and right now it's clearly better than a pick.
  7. It doesn't get much per hit, but natures cry rounds and almost infinite stamina makes up for it. It clearly outpaces a pick, but you can still live without one. I think it's balanced as it is now.
  8. What's stupid is complaining of the cap in a server marketed for smaller entities when there's already a server with a much larger cap.
  9. wasn't empires server anounced to have 250 members per company cap? If he's talking about colonies, he has to go to the right server instead of complaining of the cap in the small company server.
  10. i don't know if you read the article you are linking, but they specifically said 11th of April at 10:00 PDT (19:00 CEST in my case)
  11. Are you serious? it's the whole premise of the game, a huge open world to sail and explore ffs
  12. So in order to balance the game, you'd make repetitive and boring tasks more complicated instead of just increasing the gold cost of the islands.
  13. You can't balance this thinking on the smaller entities .They have to give them options to keep playing the game, but if they are just giving land to everybody in the same conditions, they should have saved the trouble of doing one big world and split the server in a lot of smaller ones. The way the game is you shouldn't even need a landbase in the first place, because you have acces to ships, that are basically a mobile claim.
  14. No need for exploits here. After level 10-12, given that you can respec every level, you can have a schooner with 4 ballistas that can also serve as a transport for a tamed bear. Bolts are expensive, but i think we usually spent like 25-30 on blue whales and i think those werent afected by extra rates, so it's an easy 1200+ gold, if you live near tundra. I don't think i need to say, how easy are low level maps with a bear and there's also flotsams, wrecks and SOTD, which if you want to compete, you will have to farm them. IMO base gold cost for any island shouldn't be less than 1k, much more for the better ones.
  15. The way i see it, the problem is that upkeep is so ridiculously low that there's no point on having people on your island.
  16. Im not talking about players in the whole game, im talking about player in the EU PVP server. I used this page to know. https://atlas.hgn.hu/
  17. I don't know why it matter so much but ok. I was playing EUPVP, if i remember well a week or so before wipe anouncement we were barely peaking over 2k, and then dropped quickly after that. I don't remember exactly when it was, only that was a sunday afternoon and there were between 800 and almost 1k online, we traveled from M14 to L12, L12 to O14, and then we made a long trip to D9 because that was the area that seemed to be more bussy. In the whole trip we were able to find just 1 brig to have a fight with. After that we took a break in the freeport and then we went back to O14 and M14, not even one ship and most of the grids were empty.
  18. I don't know if this is such a big deal in PVE, but in PVP less than 2k people in 225 grids felt like a boring desert...
  19. I don't know about amazing, but at least the guy would be there to try to save his ship, i don't know if the other way would qualify as pvp.
  20. Unless they know exactly how many extra levels are gonna give shipyard bps and how exactly the 2 new stats gonna work, id say its a wasted effort.
  21. what if a company is just passing by, and find themselves into that mess, should they be punished too? And in case your answer is no, how would you differenciate those who should be punished and those who don't?
  22. Your story is a load of crap and you know it. Maybe high grade mythic/legendary stuff could give you that kind of advantage, i doubt it but i don't know because i haven't face it because its ultrarare. The stuff people usually have is at best some masterwork things here and there, and i can tell you they can be sunk by a simple ship of the same kind. Anyway any skilled ship player would level up the ship before he gets into combat and guess what you get when you go to level up? The game is an MMO, or at least it intends to be so there's nothing wrong with having better gear as long it is balanced, and if it wasn't, all they have to do is change a few numbers.
  23. And how do you prove those guys are cooperating? How much manpower do you have to use to police every interaction in the game to enforce the rule efectively if it's even possible to do that?
  24. Im not talking about programming, i know very little about programming myself. How do you get rid of 'megas' and how do you define what's a 'mega' and what's not? where do we draw the line?
