  1. From what I understand, when they changed the xp per level in v10 most people lost some levels. From what I’ve read, if you were 45 pre v10, and ended up 43 post v10, you wouldn’t get a new Respec until you got to 46. I may be way off here, but this is the theory I have heard in game and online since the xp change. Can anyone else confirm they got new Respec points once they surpassed their old max? I know my most recent level I did get a Respec, and I believe the above explanation is how it seemed to work.
  2. Just had an encounter that may be another piece in this puzzle. I was running along the beach out front our city, and had a rattlesnake fall from the sky. A moment before, there was no snake in that area. There is no cliff or other such structure anywhere near there for it to have fallen off. If the system uses spawn points, is it possible that some of these points are floating much higher off the ground than they should be? If they are floating high enough, they might be far enough away from the foundations people have placed in their walled/penned off areas that they are outside the dead zone created by them. Then, creatures are spawning and falling inside the pens/city walls etc. Just a thought. Approx location via ccc NA PVE: cheat TP O11 314774 -234426 17
  3. Worst case, the modding community will likely do this eventually. Won’t help on officials, but unofficials could eventually get this.
  4. I like this idea. Effectively a fire and pot to boil seawater in. make it fillable using a bucket.
  5. I had hoped this was the case. I’m sad to hear it’s not.
  6. This drives me nuts. I see it a lot, where the blue ghost image shows where it’s going to place, and after placing it shows up somewhere else. Unfortunately, this has been an ongoing thing for years in Ark. while on the topic of snap points, I would like to have the ability to snap pillars to the corners of buildings and foundations. (Like in ark). Gives more options for style, and makes hand made docks look better. Sometimes you can force placement to corners by using fence foundations, but an actual snap point would be nice.
  7. I agree, it’s quite possible something else is messed up with spawns as well. I had a large snake the other day spawn behind me while inside our walls. At our encampment you’re never more than about 3 foundations away from a foundation, so I would agree there’s also something else at work.
  8. Fur armor weighs a ton, and plate almost nothing. I’m hoping it’s an oversight and will be adjusted at some point.
  9. Interesting idea. I like it. So long as it’s not some instant transfer, and takes some time to completely empty your stores. As a builder, I would like to be able to add merchants/bar maids/tavern keeps as well. Maybe even guys just standing or sitting around town too. Try to liven up our outpost a little. Would allow the devs reason to add more clothing options to the tannery and loom too.
  10. Not sure if it’s possible in game, but being able to buy a ship from other players should be a thing. If you sink your boat and effectively have to start over, you could build a raft or sloop in a Freeport to enable travelling to find another ship for sale. I’m sure they wouldn’t be cheap to buy, which might be an issue for someone who just sunk their ship, but if they did let you buy from an NPC, I would hope they weren’t really cheap either. Maybe the ability to bank coins at a Freeport could be a thing, but I doubt any respected pirate would trust his gold to a bank
  11. I would actually hate for this to be a thing. If you want treasure, you should have to do a little work for it. Just running over it like a street sweeper sounds lazy IMO.
  12. There is a walkway that would work as a ‘plank to walk’ already in game. I believe it’s part of the wooden ceiling object. I would be willing to bet that in time, the rest of those suggestions will be in game. I chalk it up to early access. Initially worried about getting the core game flushed out, but sprinkling in the nice to have skins and eye candy as they move forward. Your suggestions are all spot on. Would love to see all these things. (I would add gravestones/graves to this list as well lol)
  13. If on your own land, cary a few fence posts and walls. While your first bola is active pen the creature in. Then it can’t run away for the remainder of the tame. Overall, it sounds like they don’t want taming to be a primary focus in Atlas (based on Jat’s blog post) I don’t foresee taming getting any easier, or tamed creatures getting any stronger in the future if this is the course the devs are on. Personally I enjoy the challenge. It makes having the tame feel that much sweeter in the end.
  14. Totally agree with this. Building on hilly areas or against cliffs is almost impossible without clipping enabled. Fences are also brutal to work with without clipping. I’m really hoping this is just an oversight, and clipping will be enabled at some point.
  15. May be the same issue ark used to experience. Take this with a grain of salt, as I don’t ever remember seeing this confirmed by devs in the past. supposedly the server doesn’t “draw in” areas that players aren’t active in. As someone approaches, the server draws in the animals first, and after that the structures. This allows a short period of time for both tames (if you leave them wandering) and wild creatures to wander past your walls before the walls get drawn in. If this old tale is true, it would explain how animals you leave on wander wind up outside of penned in areas, and even how wild creatures get inside base walls and even structures.
  16. They REALY need to enable clipping like on ark servers. Makes building on terrain so much easier.
  17. I would very much like to see the anchor points for docks.
  18. I’m all for some fishing bait recipes!
  19. Would like to see the rope netting for the sails be climbable too.
  20. Surely some balance can be found. I like the idea of a set number of flags per person. Maybe 2 or 3. Then allow the guild leader to gain additional flags based on the number of crew in it. Could be 1 flag for every 2 members. 5 flags per 3 members. Whatever they feel works. Adjust initial flags per person, and guild leader flags to get the desired fix. Unlimited flags per person, looking back on it now, wasn’t a good idea. Hopefully they get something in place before any new official servers launch. Will give folks a fighting chance on newer servers.
  21. wish they could just axe the durability drain and let us put oil in it to burn. It’s likely a nested storage situation tho. Being able to repair it in your inventory is a good suggestion to fix this tho.
  22. I second this. Red on red is very hard to find!
  23. This is exactly the reason I would like a smaller gate. For my farm animals.
  24. Would love to see a smaller gate option. The small gate is huge! I need something to build a barn structure with for storing cows, sheep etc. The small gate is massive, and looks horrendous trying to attach it to a building that’s smaller in height. Adding a toggle on the small gate that’s a “half gate” which is the same width, but half the height would create a gate more in line with a large barn door. Right now the options are a man door, and the next size door up is the small gate.
  25. Tamed a 29 lion. Same issue
