Having zero experience with ARK coming into Atlas, I was not expecting (nor have experience with in any game) taming. I was, as you say, expecting more on the ship side. Frankly, other than horse & cow/bull, having other tames makes the game feel...odd.

I've never gotten the fishing pole to work. Always exactly like you describe. Perform all the steps but always 0/0 "NO AMMO"

Yes, you pick wild maize and/or wheatgrass to eat as is, as well as, for the seeds; which you then plant to grow maize and/or wheat for cooking.

I suspect most watching this thread are aware, but I was not until yesterday...; you can build structures in the water. I had not been able to find or steal land since day 4 (when I lost my only claim), but was able to claim some water near an island [circle not touching any land]. Yesterday I finally saw a post somewhere that said foundations could be placed on the ocean floor; sure enough, 9 foundations deep I was able to build a platform and create a small base just off-shore.

@Robertnoble I can only confirm that Jat is aware; I passed details to him in Discord on Monday. I don't know if he is the dev responsible for this part of the code, and with the holidays, I'm not surprised it hasn't been fixed yet; hopefully sooner than later. I know it is horribly frustrating (I have it as well), as this is a gamebreaking error for those who have it.

Welcome to the club. This has been a problem for a few days now. I did pass onto one of the devs in Discord a day or two ago...hoping they have a fix soon

Fair question; I was worried the first time I did this as well. However, you can safely demolish the existing sails (and replace) without damage to the rest of the ship

I was able to get back into the server (NA PVE) by turning off map and selecting a new tiles at log in...but immediately got the same error again in game when opening the map Clearly (for me at least) this error is map related

Either case, this UE-4 bug is game breaking

If it makes you feel any better (probably not) I have the exact same error. It started every time I opened the map. After I died, it crashes everytime I start the game and it asked where I want to spawn (showing map)
