  1. This post was not clearly in response to anyone, it's just you saying something that is not true.
  2. Why are you asking me how PvE is going to solve the problem? My response to you was informing you that you are wrong claiming that the settlement owner can use cannons to destroy other peoples structure in PvE after the 12+ hour window. Yet you then ask me how is PvE going to solve the problem? I was never talking about the problem, I was correcting your understanding. As for after the 12+ hour window it will come down to the structure owner not keeping their structure upkeep topped up. There's nothing else that can be done.
  3. Well it won't take long. Most of them are probably already planning to start together, spawn together and there you got your mega companies forming the moment the new servers are up. That's bound to happen with a lot of companies. They've been given weeks to plan and prepare, so yes they will start to exist the moment servers go live again.
  4. Everything is being completely wiped, it will be like it was on day one when the game started. I'm not sure why people are confused over this.
  5. Not in PvE which is what this topic is all about. If you want to keep talking PvP go to a PvP relevant topic.
  6. Yup, but so many people keep claiming PvE settlement owners can demolish anytime including after the 12 hour window. They don't pay attention to what is being said they expect it to be said word for word without understanding what it is.
  7. Thank you, at least someone understands what it is saying.
  8. How many times does this have to be explained? I've highlighted the key bits. Firstly on PvP it says about using the pinwheel in the first 12 hours, but after that they have to do it manually. If what you say about doing it one by one after 12 hours, well that would still be by pinwheel regardless of whether it is individual. So yes manual means PvP actions, i.e. destroying it with weapons. If what you say about manual being using pinwheel to destroy them one by one, then why would they say beyond 12 hours as players will not have the option to destroy via PvP? None of what you say makes sense.
  9. I think it will be 3 weeks as that is the timeframe they introduced the first time they did it for ships.
  10. Then why don't you do it if a 5 year old could do it?
  11. ETA on when something like this is fixed is stupid, it will be fixed when it's fixed. Just have some patience.
  12. The boat simply needs to render in for it to be "tagged". That's it. You either fast travel to it for it to appear, or you walk/sail to it for it to appear.
  13. All you need to do is have a bed on the ship, fast travel to it, fast travel back. That's all. Nothing sketchy about any of it as it is aimed at destroying boats left by inactive players.
  14. All that means is you need to go in to render distance for the boat to appear and its decay timer will be refreshed.
  15. No, the settlement owner can destroy structures only in the initial 12 hour period (or however long they make it) after the structure has been placed. After that period they can't destroy structures.
  16. Yeah they are working on it now. They are bringing PvP up and then working on PvE.
  17. This does not suggest that whatsoever. That says 12 hour window a settlement owner can destroy structures on PvP via the wheel, and after the 12 hour window they will have to destroy it manually, i.e. use weapons. For PvE it says they may extend the 12 hour window because they won't be able to be destroyed manually via weapons or PvP. Nowhere does it say the settlement owner can still destroy structures after the 12 hour or so window.
  18. I'm assuming the land claim flag will have a decay timer like before, so if the settlement owner quits then eventually someone else will be able to lay claim.
  19. You trolls keep saying the game isn't meant to be played alone, you trolls don't understand the game is meant to be played how people see fit. If this game was meant to be controlled it would be more of a campaign story driven game where you can't play how you want to. You trolls don't understand that if you end up on an island run by a lazy settlement owner the entire island will be a mess. You trolls don't seem to understand that yes there will be 1200 islands but it won't be long before they are all claimed, so anyone that joins later after the wipe won't have any choice. Keep on trollin'.
  20. But there are things you won't be able to do, such as stepping on to an ally's ship and going on a voyage together. Unless you have a smart way to do that under the new no alliance rule?
  21. Just another thing about no alliances, doesn't that mean anyone in another company that would normally be in an alliance with you can't step foot on your ships? Or was that the case with alliances anyway? @KarmaComa actually is that what you meant?
  22. You read it wrong. When a structure is placed, there will be a window (maybe longer than 12 hours) where the settlement owner can demolish through the selection wheel. After that window has closed it can't be demolished by anyone but the owner of the structure, or on its own if the upkeep isn't paid.
  23. So you are expecting people to build a shipyard and almost finish building a ship all within a 12 hour (whatever it will be) timeframe? In the majority of cases that would be unlikely. Would be more wise to farm the resources and hold on to them so that the shipyard can't be destroyed.
