I was one of the thousands that left early on because of how the game was. Now they are changing the idea of claim flags I am now coming back to the game after the server wipe. I'd be interested to know what the numbers are like after the wipe and the updates. People i've talked to who also left said they were going to play it again and give it another go, I don't see the numbers going back to when it was first released but they certainly might increase from what they are now. The people who are not happy with the change might leave, we'll have to see how things go but I'm sure like myself they will be back at some point in the future if they decide to leave.

I didn't rage quit at all, I just decided to leave the game for awhile until it was fixed there is a difference. I know alot of people are angry but it's a waste of time directing that anger at people posting in here because I can't change it for you. I couldn't care less who is angry with me because I don't agree with them, I have an opinion like everyone else. I hope the new system works but if you feel strongly about it I suggest you contact customer support. I've said in previous posts, if people don't like it then leave it to one side and come back to it at a later date like I did. One thing is for certain, I can't help you I'm afraid.

I left the game early on to see how things would change, I have no intention of coming back at this point until the server wipe. It does not make sense to build or travel unless you like doing that without the thought of losing it in a couple of weeks. I knew about all these things though before I bought the game, we are all testing the game out and some people test it out more than others, that's fine.

That's exactly right, I saw that notice and I knew it was just in development but gave it a try anyway. I didn't like the old style system of claim flags, I know alot of people disagree but that's my opinion. I left the game early on to see how it turned out and now they are changing it, great, i'll come back give it another go, if I like it I will stick at it. I was under no illusions as to this game but you are totally correct, if people don't like it they shouldn't play it.

Well all I can say is I'm prepared to give it a try, if I don't like it I won't play it again, it really is that simple for me. People who have left have nothing to lose in trying it again, will they like it? I can't speak for them but we'll soon find out if the numbers increase again if not i've said it before they will change the system again, they don't have a choice. I personally didn't like the old system, but if it ends up with people spamming all over the place they will soon do something about it, they would have to. I know everyone has their own opinion but things are getting heated in here with this debate so I will leave it there before someone comes along and pushes to far resulting in thread locked. I hope it works out but if it doesn't they will soon know about it, I just hope you all at least give it a try and not leave.

Nobody knows how it's going to turn out just yet, give it time before you judge. They obviously must not be able to restrict the number of flags for some reason otherwise they could have done that. I'm sure this will bring those players that left back again, I'm all for the change and bringing players back. Maybe I won't like it but I'm prepared to give it a try at least instead of dismissing it. I wasn't happy with the old system but I have nothing to lose trying the new system nor has the thousands that have left. If the majority of the community say they don't like it after testing it then they will have to change it, they have no choice have they?

I'm interested to see how it works out, I'm happy they are changing the system and trying something different. I haven't played in a long time since I was one of the many thousands who quit weeks or months ago after seeing the mess with the claim flags. I hope to see a large proportion of those players coming back now the wipe is happening and the claim flags are gone. They are prepared to change things and try something new, at least they are trying.

We actually lived on the freeport I believe when there was no damage to buildings and the times of shipyards everywhere. We went out to look for flags at the time and saw a sea of red on every island you come across, not a good look and wasn't a good system. Why they allowed people to spam flags everywhere I will never know but I for one am glad they are gone. They system has changed to add some sort of upkeep on buildings, I like that idea, it isn't just like lawless decaying. I know you're angry losing flags but the people such as yourself will have to ask yourself, do I want to still play? If the answer is no then leave the game like I did and come back to it later or continue to play the new system and see how it turns out, there is no in-between.

I assume you put planks in and changed your mind and wanted gunports or whatever so tried to swap them and couldn't replace them am I right? Well I haven't played for awhile after leaving a few weeks ago now but I don't plan to play until the server wipe anyway. I'm looking forward to playing with the new system, makes a change from all those spammed flags everywhere and red circles.

Well the majority have already left I'm sorry to say, so the only minority is people playing with the current system with the claim flags, the few thousand if that. I did not play Ark, I can't comment on it so you have more knowledge over me on that. Most people I spoke to when the game came out and the weeks after it was problems to do with no land and spamming flags. If it brings people back then it will be a good thing, I know people are very upset but they will have to live with it and play or give it up like I and many thousands did. It can crack you up all it likes, we all have our own views on it. I'm not the only one who didn't like how it worked, go and ask the thousands that have left the game and the minority like yourself that have remained. I know you might be upset on the system changing judging by your response but that's how it is unfortunately. If it gets more people back into the game that has to be a good thing, we will have to see how it develops with the new system.

If they want players to come back like myself they are making the right choice in taking the flag claims away. If they revert back to how it was I for one will stay well away from it again and so will the many thousands that have left. If they want any chance in bringing players back they are going down the right route, I'll be 1 of many to return.

Well I left the game a long time ago when there was no flags at all. Every grid you come to was covered in red circles, I was fed up of it and decided to leave the game because of this. I must say I am very happy with the changes, so just to let the devs know not everyone hates these changes. I am coming back to the game and I hear others are also because they now have a chance in finding land without the dreaded red circles cluttering the map. The other small detail about having red circles everywhere is you couldn't see your red X on the map, so hopefully this is solved now. Thank You for these changes, I look forward to coming back to the game and enjoy it.

I left the game long ago, I'm glad they have finally changed how it works and I'm happy to be coming back to something new. Thank You for changing it and taking away claims, I like the idea of auto repairs on structures.
