  1. 09 - Map Issue. Today patch brought map issue. I can see just a grid I point to by my mouse. All other grids are dark, and no island shown (just names if those are claimed).
  2. Last time I had crashes, I tried file system check via Steam menu. It showed 66 corrupted files, reuploaded em, and all gone well.
  3. Wow, today I've got just PERFECT place where treasure spawned!!! Check it out!
  4. One more thing. Because now ships cost is increased, and all the way to loose them are still there (including bugs, glitches, camping borders enemies etc) it would be really great if you introduce the way to bring ship back after It sunk. I mean ships is not just ship itself. Some of us put alot efforts in to it. It's design. It's long leveling. Sometimes it's even PAINTING!!! So it not just loosing ship. It loosing all those efforts. So my idea is simple. We've got ship seller, right? So let it be this way, if our ship is sunked, for some time... for example for a week, it appears in this seller guy menu, ready to be bought back for gold. With no crew. With empty boxes. But same lever and design.
  5. I DO really glad that game is moving forward. I DO love to see daily servers reboot, that keeps network stable (I mean it still giltchy but NOT that level it was before when some servers were simply unplayable). I really happy with all new stuff, but hey, Grapeshot gusy! With all current new stuff can you also work with old stuff you really need to redone? Just quick update of what I wrote before.   6. 08 - Guy just covered 15% of island with huge walls. Today I saw something weird, I can't find a words for that. I mean... all come to my thought is about the greatest human stupidity, but the point is. I simply don't understand THAT. I came for treasure to one island and I couldn't get to treasure spawn point because of this: I run around for half an hour tried to get behind. The guy just captured like 15% of whole island!!! And I was wonder - why does he wanna that much of territory. Maybe he build like a huge city inside? Maybe he has like huge trading chain set up there? What is it inside of this walls? I got the way inside and... Well... It's nothing. The guy just took huge territory for himself with NO PURPOSE. There is couple of small buildings inside and that's it. And I don't understand what is it? Some kind of manic gigantism? Or some mega will spawn there some day? It's PVE and there is just no one to cover yourself from!!! It just caused some troubles for me to get inside for treasure and that's it. It's simply stupid to capture a territory which you won't use at all... So. I'm thinking that some restrictions for players to do that would serve us all a good purpose.
  7. I personally wish they make things the way that there is actually alternative to tames in terms of resources gathering and fighting. If that's will ever happen, I'll gladly tame just a single horse to carry lots of stuff fast and forget about all those bears, elephants tigers etc, for ever!!
  8. Wow today I found... A BAR??? : )) There is just an ale there in shop 1g each. A-a-a-and... ...yeah. Guys maybe some1 knows the answer. Does ALE give you same protection like GROG does? Because I used ale from this shop to go high lvl treasure map and... I've got oneshot killed by damned warrior... : (
  9. I couldn't level my skills in time. He built one near my base. And I doubt he have some profit of it, because it sais - "connected farms: 0". He probably wont be able to build any farm nearby, because it's all overcrowded but any other players farms. But if I would place my warehouse here it would be the same state with 0 farms conected. But my point is - we not playing "Schooner constructor" right? And my point always was like that, even before we were able to build any ship we want. I don't wanna build a schooner every day. I wanna build one, and then sail global. I wanna build one Brig and do all quest, damned ships hunt etc. I know a lot of players actually came here to play this "happy farm" and "minecraft" playstyle. They are free to play the way they want. You wanna build a schooner every day? Fine. I'm writing here experience of adventurer. Of guy who do global explorations, questing and fighting. So please do not try to prove here that I am wrong in something. This is my feedback thread and it mostly for devs. And one more thing. Devs never make a statement that this is PVP only game. So all information about that is just... how we call it in Russia "fortune-telling on coffee grounds".
  10. I personally love this update. I do love the idea of better ship as a reward for your efforts. It's really cool feeling to earn first 5K and finally get rid of this tiny slow piece of trash, and go global full speed. The problem here is - million ways... not to loose it, but million ways game will take it away from you, no matter how careful you are, and what you do. I actually was expecting this kind of game meanness. I'm just a shame that it happened so early, and I didn't have a chance to earn another 5K before it happened. P.S. - Little update related to error above. Even after I respawn, I keep seeing this error message. I checked game files via steam menu and it said 66 files were corrupted and will be reuploaded. Only after that I was able to enter the game.
  11. I couldn't. There is some one else's warehouse. Yeah in my base. A lot of players did loose their ships with different ways, apart from ingame activities. I play since beginning and already killed like 100 of whales, more than 1000 of damned ship, and kinda know how to deal with all ingame dangers. All I'm telling is about situation when you cross the grid, game loads, and you find yourself stucked here: ...or you dodge whale, keep him out of your ballistas attack range (it's must be far enough) and suddenly your ship hit invisible wall and got sever damage, start to spin. ...or you have game crush in the middle of the fight or while approaching to the island. There are not many ways to really loose all your stuff for ingame activities. In fact. I didn't loose is all even ONCE by doing something wrong. But I lost more than 20 ships and more than 10 times lost all my stuff to game issues. Like corpse fall underground. Or like crossing while climbing a ladder, to find myself in the middle of the ocean, loosing oxygen while on water surface, then die with totally no corpse around. In the very past - climbing picks were killing people. Ships could eject players in to the ocean in the middle of fight with damned ships, etc. This is feedback thread and my goal to let DEVs know how players are doing, and what the do experience in their game, to help them make in better. So I do believe some of DEV team guys are reading this.
  12. 07 - Solo players should SUFFER, right? So... I guess solo players playstyle looks this way. 1) - We build a Sloop and spend 2-3 days, earning 5K gold. 2) - We build a schooner, and start to travel around the world. 3) - We lost schooner to yet another game glitch, game crash, battle eye log out, invisible rock, ranged whale's attack, damned ship camping border, etc. 4) - Go back to pt. 1) above. Repeat. So... no high lvl game content. No Brigantine with sea's battles. No krakens etc. Just sloop, lvl-5 maps, building schooner, then sloop, lvl-5 maps, schooner, then sloop, lvl-5 maps, schooner, then sloop, lvl-5 maps, schooner, then sloop, lvl-5 maps... then sever wipe, star over, build base, sloop, lvl-5 maps, schooner, back to sloop... right? You really wanna solo players play this pointless game with no results?
  13. 06 - Game just crashed and don't load anymore. I feel, that while time is passing, game goes more and more buggy, and bugs getting more serious.

  16. As far as I back, I'll continue to write my feedback. My last thread was here: This season my crewmate went to WoW so I'm all alone. I play PVE. I always live in LAWLESS. I prefer to live in TUNDRA. 01 - Did you BALANCE traderoutes? From what I saw so far, in LAWLESS PVE players want to capture as much space as they can with their windmills and warehouses. I mean sometimes they wanna have like 10 farmhouses and 3 warehouses around the island. With huge radius around each of building, It prevent another players from building their farms and warehouses. So the question is - DO PLAYERS REALLY NEED THAT MUCH FOR THEIR TRADING??? For example, I built my small village (no more castles etc, just separate houses to make it less pieces), and today I found SOMEONE ELSE's warehouse RIGHT INSIDE MY BASE! All space around simply covered by another players windmills, and his warehouse isn't connected to ANY of his windmills (he has some but in to another part of island). But the guy decide he need this exact spot AT MY BASE to build his warehouse. While he already have few in to another part of island. So... maybe you balance all traderoutes chain so quantity doesn't matter. But the spot is important? IMAO - best situation is, when player or company simply need just one farm, one warehouse and one market. Or maybe you should consider to limit amount of warehouses/farmhouses/markets by 1 per player/company at each island??? 02 - Sad story (The way to loose it all). I understand that ATLAS is "So many efforts - so little reward". But some times it even go to "So many efforts to flush in to toilet!" It doesn't make your players happy, you know? I was on my way to earn first 5k gold for Schooner (no trading for me, check message above), spent like a whole day, sailing and do treasure hunting. I've got jackpot - boosted treasure map, which was on "goldens" few grid from my base. With all caution, I've got there. I was able to deal with damned army, and dug the treasure. I was safely back to my ship, and full of joy, prepared tp departure. Suddenly I've got 3.3k damage to my ANCHORED boat OUT OF NOWHERE. It destroyed my bed, my campfire. Then another 3k hit. I couldn't understand a thing, there were NO enemies around, no drake (it was hydra island), no elementals, no hydra herself. Third hit destroyed my boxes, and throw me and my bear away from my boat. I was able to get to the shore, and only after I called my bear to follow I saw CYCLOP WALKING OUT FROM THE UNDERWATER!!! It means this guy was there for some reason, aggroed me, and right from underwater he started to hit me and land damage THROUGHT THE PLANKS OF MY ANCHORED SHIP. I died. With my bed destroyed, I wasn't able to respawn anywhere near, and by the time I built another ship, and got there - all stuff from my corpse and from all boxes was gone forever. All GOLD I'VE GOT so far was gone forever. So... I just wanna repeat what I was saying before. Expensive ship - it good. It prevent ppl from ship flooding all spaces around, speed up servers etc. BUT. You, SOMEHOW, have to make things, so people WOULD NOT loos all they earned to some monster hidden underwater, and without any warning hitting them through the walls. 03 - Whales do ranged attack. And yeah. This is not all my issues. Just before I arrived to goldens, I was sailing through the cold biomes, and suddenly my ship got several hit to planks 450+ each hit, and star to spinning around. Again - from nowhere, no reasons. I checked around and found that there was whale. He was far. He was out of my ballista's range. But he landed damage to my boat somehow from that far range... It means I could loose all my gold simply because I didn't dodge a whale far enough. I pass like 300 meters from him and he hit me, and I somehow had to guess I need to dodge at least 400 meter right???

  18. What is bad with current ships - lack of cannons types. I mean we place just somehow "regular cannon" to Sloops, Schooners, Briggs and Galleys. Meanwhile in Russian "Corsairs" game with 6 classes of ships, cannons were different to each class. And they were different by weight. It means - small 6th class Barkas and Tartan could wear just 18 pound cannons (more damage less range) and 12 pound coulverins (less damage more range). And 1st class Warship and Man o War - could wear 42 pound cannons and 32 pound coulverins. Could be cool if we have same issue here. And yeah, I'm glad about all info, but... well I mean If claiming system will be changed soon, does it mean, new wipe is incoming? (This season I found lovely spot, but then I quit and destroyed all my buildings so now I probably won't be able to join and find another place to settle).

  20. Naaah, right now it's WAY SAFER than before. When game just released islands were full of aggressive wild fauna, with really short spawn time, and even alphas in lawless. Right now it's just sandbox. You kill couple lions, and in next 2 real days no one will appear near your base. There are couple of exceptions (like NE island at C6 which is a perfect place for tigers capturing), and all polars are dangerous, but most of the islands are fine (I personally wish they bring back more survival stuff, at least alphas in lawless). And yeah. Bears are non aggressive.
  21. People telling this since farmhouse was introduce, and then warehouse. But DEVs either: - Don't understand, don't care, or don't know about most of players unable to place their farm/warehouse (maybe DEVs don't even know how people actually do play, how ppl settle, how ppl establish their bases and how to improve this process in order to optimize available island space and ping issues). - Don't know how to set program code to make it just one FH/WH per company/per island.
  22. Yeah, but lvl-5 map usually gives around 300 gold (a bit more), it means you need around 15 bottles this level. U lucky that you found that many. I didn't. It's about 10 bottles around all islands I searched. Half of them were broken. Most of them were 1-2 lvl. Some - lvl-5. Some - lvl-10 and more. I found even couple of lvl-19... with my journey I was getting about 1300 gold per day. So 4 full days sailing sloop... some players can play from morning till night. They would do that in 2. Some players - can play for 3 hours. They will do it in a week or two, and they will have to put all long journey stuff in sloop, because they wont be able to get back to base every day...
  23. I had once. And don't wanna ever own one again. And yeah Im talking about my point of view, when I approach some island and it's beyond imagination glitchy due to overcrowded shore, and really hard to find a place to anchor my boat. And I'm still don't believe that like 30 Galleys are needed even for MEGA. Because I never saw them away - always parked the same place. Again. I'm telling that you have to use TINY AND SLOW ship for BIG AND FAST ships PURPOSES. That's wrong. But the current game problem - there is just not many purposes at all. And totally not for sloops. In the early state we could use one to travel from freeport to our settlement island (in the very beginning the only option was raft). So sloop was one way ship, which then was used to garbage shores. Right now we forced to use it for half atlas travels with tames onboard. As for bps... I don't play PVP, so I don't know how things going there (I only knows that barrels can oneshot full mythic Galley). But in PVE - bps doesn't matter. Before wipe I've done most of quests with just common Brig (for quest I SOLO took down damned 4 ships squad that contained lvl-56 and lvl-60 Galleys plus lvl-54 and lvl-56 Brigs). And that's also problem because I don't feel I get any rewards for my efforts.
  24. Before wipe I was traveling around the world and saw like huge monstrous bases with 15-20 lvl-1 Galleys parked around. After I wipe I saw same huge monstrous base with like 30-40 lvl-1 sloops parked around... so it's not big difference for me : )) But anyway. I do love the idea that ships should worth something, so players could buy one, care about it, use it, keep it safe. So expensive ship itself is NOT a problem. The game is. If player able to set his trade route - it's fine. If not - it's just same Atlas as before with only difference. DEVs force player to sail sloop, and sloop is just bad. You need to get honey and bear, to make it possible to do treasure maps (same problem with no alternative to tames). So you have to sail for them. Then maps. Higher maps - is farther travel, and sloop is just not designed for that. You can barely put anything you need for far travels. Storage box, resource box, bed, grille, mess table, barrel, smithy, steering wheel... and of course you need to put bear somwhere. Size of a bear is around 1/5 size of a sloop. It will be very cramped and uncomfortable. Then it goes 11 knots downwind when it's full wind and 6 knots when it's calm. So that means if you go for map around lvl-10, the ONE WAY sailing will take around 3 hours. And there were a lot of words about current fascinating sailing. All problems are here as well. Empty ocean. Low distance SOTD rendering. Whales and SOTDs camping borders. Fog that affect only player. Stupid pacman game with 100 tornadoes. It's actually a bit worse than before, because due to lack of Brigs and Galleys around - no players are clearing the areas. And of course dodging SOTD with a Schooner when you ride 18 knots are way different from when you dodging them at 9 knots Sloop. And of course with Schooner you can catch a wind and get to your desire destination. With sloop you won't make it in time, wind will rotate and you'll anyway experience calm and counterwind (3 knots sailing is FASCINATING!) Also with sloop there is just no resources gathering. Because it just can't carry em all... Players just need to suffer for some time. And that's it... IMAO in good pirate game, all ships from small to big could serve their purpose. Tiny boat for local purposes, some fishing, earn money for bigger one. In Atlas you have to use tiny one, for all you should do with big and fast and that's WRONG!!!
