  1. there's a few parts on skeletons you can't pillage, so the skeletons remain full duration. the sketon itself should be able to be salvaged after the rest is looted , it should return the percentage of the skeleton per the shipyard. allow that and salvages will clean them up. also, ramshackle boats leave wrecks no one wants to pillage because they're worth no loot. Suggestion: consider making the wreck de-spawn quickly and turn into a flotsam model bundle of cargo that contains what the ship had in containers. that should lag the server less, AND give salvagers less blueballs when they see a flotsom and think they're getting some loot.
  2. on the inverse i don't want a fun game ruined by changes to satisfy PVPers.
  3. can we please please please just make it harmlessly bounce them off of the raft instead of trapping them? and can we please make an "allowed" list for our boats so we can give people rides and stuff?
  4. I like the age mechanic. I think launching the fountain of youth at the same time as the debuff lead to too many people trying to get it at once, which was a huge problem. maybe some islands are kind of rough, and the new strat is "make a ramshackle, sail it there, leave it" so the the powerstone locations are now ABSURDLY LARGE ship graveyards.

  6. I didn't vote. i sort of feel like (for the critter resistance stone offers) maybe it should use some metal. the paste is annoying because of geography. I kind of understand why they made the change. But primarily i feel: it requires WAY too much organic paste and too much metal. if the stone walls took like 5 paste that's one thing, but 32 is way too much for a substance not available in most places. I play PVE so i don't factor the PVP cannons-breaking-stone part of it.
  7. please for the love of god just let us mount a giant compass on the boat. we can put it right in-front of the wheel and it will show the direction the nose faces.
  8. Cyclones should be their own event, independant of a presence of ships. tehy should scoot across the map in a cluster and you should abe able to avoid THAT like you avoid ships of the damned in the distance.

(the tornados are stupid and should be removed) I had a bunch of tornados spawn on me near the shore of an island, i rushed hte island, anchored and sighed relief only to turn and see that one of the funnel clouds just sat on my boat's rear spinning for another few. it didn't dissipate and it didn't move. i scooted forward again and re-anchored. (tornados are awful)

  11. there were trade desks in the ark mod survival plus that did a good job of setting up a medium for trading. interestingly it wasn't rare things pushing most trade, it was bulk materials. it's clearly doable in atlas.
  12. Could some one break down locks for me? 1. pin codes: Chests get pin codes. anyone in your company can get in, brute forcing the password works. 2. "locked" When i drop a door, or a resource box, it says "locked". does this mean only my company can get in? does that mean that adding a pin code ONLY adds a weakness because it can then be brute forced? 3. admin only when i set a door to admin only, does that mean only company admins? if i add a pin, does it then become bruteforce OR admin? if "locked" and "admin only" pin codes only add weakness, does that mean the only reason to do it is to LET people you know (who arn't in your company) in?
  13. Just engage them in conversations trash talking the chineese communist government. after a few weeks of this the chineese government will ban the game. BAM problem solved.
  14. i had to cross a picket of ghost ships every time i wanted to explore a new island. it seems a tad much typhoons are also absurdly common (every time it rained when i sailed. 8 times through 6 zones hah)

I just took my first "long term" trip through 6 zones. it was pretty fun! however the things that got grating VERY QUICKLY were: 1. typhoon. the first typhoon was fun. it was on a zone in , so i thought "oh no, i zoned in IN a typhooon!" but then i had a typhoon form around me (then mysteriously vanish if i ran to land) EVERY SINGLE TIME IT RAINED. it felt less like a natural disaster and more like an annoyance. I couldn't feel like i was exploring and enjoying my ship for all the cyclone dodging. eventually i lost the ship because I sprung a leak in the cyclone and couldn't get it fixed before the funnel clipped me again and sank me. in short had i encountered one typhoon in that trip it would have been amazing. 8 was a bit much. them circling around me didn't feel like a disaster it felt obnoxious. 2. the ghost ships seem too common also. again they impede exploration. they were a LOT more reasonable to deal with than the typhoons, but they still happened around every island i explored so they didn't feel like another cool event. they felt like obnoxious speed bumps in the way of exploring/trading. (i replied instead of making a new thread because the OP had info about typhooons that was similar to my experience).
