i think the issue isn't the rollback or the update. it's the lack of communication and or time to prepare for such an update with profound impact.

What is activity? Can i step onto a ship to be active? Does having active crew on board count? Do i need to sail it a certain distance? I would think that having a living avatar on board would constitute activity. How about ships in shipyards. are they inactive if we haven't built on them recently?

not at my computer and won't be for at least several more hours. Afraid of what I might find. wonderful they gave us enough notice that folks at work or school could go check on things before the patch. but hey, it's early access.

your right, you shouldn't. but these folks are trying to help you get around the bug. do a bug report and hope they fix it.

I will repeat. Solo players do want to interact with others, they simply want to achieve their objectives on their own. If solo players did not want to interact in any way then they would play single player offline. It is not that I don't agree with you. Your statement that solo players should just go somewhere else and blaming the design changes in other games on solo players is trollish and you are right I don't agree with that. As for complaints, we have that right, because solo play is a big part of every MMO. we all start out alone.

of course if they ever fix it so that claims cannot overlap then that will solve this problem. personally i think they should have predivided up each island into defined sectors and you claim the sector with a flag. each sector should have been no bigger than the current systems flag area. or smaller if it included rare or powerful resources.

Metal armor has hyper-thermal insulation. Fur armor has Hypo-thermal insulation.

One of the big problems I am having with the vitamin system is that they decay way too fast. the other is that you Overdose way to quickly. Vitamins should decay at about 1/10 to 1/100 the rate of hunger. I should have to each a dozen meals be fore i notice I am missing an important vitamin. Overdosing on a vitamin should be extremely hard as in most cases the body only uses what is needs rejects the rest. I suggest we eliminate the overdose effects. keep the balanced buff. and reduce the decline rate a lot. Also Food should decline at a slower rate than thirst. it should take a long time to starve to death.

We should be repelled off of the raft. not stuck onto it. This mechanic is flawed "stupid". Now I can't invite people aboard my ships. so much for running passengers. i keep a piece of Suicide Fudge on me at all times just for such occasions.

I have just completed my galleon. aside from the abismal p;latform item limit it will make a nice mobile base. However I agree with you. the Brig is the best all around ship. just the right size.

Notice that I said "Want" not "Need" the number of responses in regard to Solo play prove your statement wrong.

You have my support in this. I too would enjoy an offline environment. But I also do not want to be excluded from the Multiplayer Environment.

Correction, MMO's are not Single Player games. You have confused Solo players with Single Players. Solo players do not want to be isolated from Multiplayer society. They just want to accomplish their goals on their own. your not getting the point. Your just trying to convince solo players to just go away. not going to happen.

i like that, thus gold spent won't detract from the ranking. might make for a fun top company that spends all it's gold on cosmetics but it has still earned a lot of gold.

from what i understand it is not deleting the character, just removing them from the world..just like when killed. you would log in to a re-spawn screen. I feel that aging should stop for a player on the re-spawn screen or when "dead"

maybe they need more leader-boards. like most ships sunk, most gold plundered. most gold held, most members, etc. then a truly top company will dominate a majority of the boards.
