Not going to read the thread past this point. Mostly just complaining. Regarding this post though: There is literally sap in freeports, areas you can die to teleport too or easily travel too and are unable to be walled off. We load a bear on a ship, sail to a nearby one and gather enough sap and fiber to fill 2 or 3 chests. Build a few ramshackle sloops and put nothing but mortar and pestles on em. QUEUE UP LOTS OF PASTE. Problem solved. You can do this in a few hours solo and far less with a friend or three. Anyone who is struggling to get sap just isn't playing the game well and needs to stop turtling on their one island and actually leave port. Paste doesn't even weigh much.

/laughs in stone wall explosive damage I do like harder games though. It *IS* a survival game after all.

It just means you don't need to exit the game completely. You get kicked and can sit at the main menu and rejoin once the server grid you are on comes back up. No client side steam patch required.

Because it's something that hasn't been done really in a survival game before. It forces people to go out and explore as I said. It gives us yet another reason to leave our homes on the island and do things. Once they add in the mechanics to further flesh out death and how it ages you faster it adds additional reasons to not want to die. No more abusing the death system to avoid mechanics you don't like such as the food system. I like systems that interplay and interchange with each other. I'm fairly certain I know exactly why I like it. Why you would assume I don't is a bit silly. As for the people who throw hissy fits and will quit over it my only response to that is 'bye'. We all have things we don't like and we all can make the choice if we want to put up with it or not. No one is making anyone play this game nor made them sign up for early access. Some of these features, including the aging system, were even discussed BEFORE the game went on sale. So perhaps those people should have done their due diligence so they could properly set their expectations.

Feel free to interchange any descriptive term for needless complaining you want. Caps has nothing to do with it. It's the message you are trying to convey. I like the aging system. I hope they expand further on the mechanic. Once the ruins get sorted out (which they will) then it will be a fun little goal and reason to go explore places.

You are resolving nothing, helping no one (including yourself) by sitting on a forum for gamers and a game they play that you have no experience in because you have never played it. Seems like you missed the point and are somehow trying to equate big companies to hacking and exploiting. That's a weird comparison to make. I've never seen reddit light up with pages of racially charged slurs and insults just because a company was big. I have however seen it happen when their name is [][][][][] along with claims of hacking and exploiting regardless of any fact behind it.

Black Butterflies are a scourge to gaming and do nothing but ruin things. I really hope the devs step up their enforcement and find a way to handle it. We've allied with players from all around the world and all of them are honorable players but guilds like BB do nothing but breed racism and hatred. Happy to see the chinese guilds stepping up to help wipe them out.

Do you even play the game anymore? All I ever see from you is OMG DOOOOOM THE GAME IS DEAD OMG drama posts. While I agree this specific forum has a lot of toxic and self entitled players posting on it, that's hardly the reason players are leaving.

Long story short that weird bug with companies hit us 2 weeks ago or so where one of our admins who built our first starter crafting base was forced to remake his character. When he did he named his character something different. Another hostile company made a new character and used his name and somehow GAINED OWNERSHIP of all the structures our admin made on his original character. We own the claims on the island including over this and even after waiting for all the timers to go to zero, with 'demolish allowed' we still cannot demo it. Being there is a bed inside this large stone building its a huge security risk to just have it there since we have no way of knowing if they could just spawn inside and build or not. It also prevents us from building next to it since we don't "own" the structure. TLDR: Cannot demolish structures that the timer hit zero on even on our own land.

File a support ticket. They have in game GM's that can help you guys get your guild back.

I take it you're playing PvE? This game is really meant to be a PVP focus'd sort of game with politics, alliances, drama, etc. Find yourself a mid sized group on a pvp server and you will have a good time. Even ark was never intended to be full of PvE content beyond survival and pokemon catch em all stuff. The caves were boring at best. The story was near non existent for the majority of its EA period and still is pretty lackluster because in these kinds of games the players are the content. Without the drama and tension that comes with PVP you end up missing a ton of content. Our alliance is always full of things going on. We are involved in wars, there are politics constantly causing problems and creating solutions. We sink ships and have ours sunk. We claim land and lose it, rent it out to smaller guilds, etc. This early in the EA process there will be a lot of content missing. I came and went from ark so many times because it would be fun for a bit, then start to get repetitive and boring, then come back for new content releases. Have about 4k hours on ark in total, ran a few servers of my own, etc.
