  2. I still havent seen... WHY YOU WANT A PVE SERVER.... WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IT AND A PRIVATE SERVER... YOU ARE LITERALLY AFRAID OF PLAYER INTERACTIONS. Also... I've seen the PVE'ers crying ass posts about Trolls... so don't act like they don't play on PVE servers... because you have your FAIR share of griefers and trolls... tired of this lame ass argument you kids constantly spew... Frankly you irritate the crap out of me, because you have 0 logic other than... You want to have everything you want, and no one can stop you from getting it... self entitled bullshit... go play a private server and have your little RP palace that NO ONE BUT YOU GIVES A SHIT ABOUT.

  4. My point EXACTLY... YOU, YOU ARE THE ISSUE HERE. If you want to play a singleplayer RPG style game... GO PLAY ON A #@$@#$@# private server.... My point is... separating PVE players from PVP players makes for a STALE GAME... it also makes PVP not viable... if their plan is to MAKE A SINGLE PLAYER GAME... then they need to go head and remove PVP and let the rest of us move on with our lives.
  5. Its not rocket science... the most SUCCESSFUL sandbox game to DATE!!!!! Has one server... Mixed with A HARDCORE PVE playerbase and a HARDCORE PVP playerbase. If you don't have PVE elements your sandbox will die... no one is going to play a game to fight pointlessly for no reason... Oh go pvp you have everything you need, but just go pvp... And how do you even play this game with no element of being able to lose your stuff? How is that even fun? I literally have not one clue as to why anyone would want to play PVE... unless you just wanna build RP structures and sail around RPing....

  8. PVE is a safe place to play by yourself and your little friends... go play on a private server....
  9. Scrap PVE servers - Its almost as if no one has played a Sandbox game before... Economies just like in real life produce conflict.... you can't have an economy without PVE'ers... you need PVE'ers on PVP servers for it to work... and dividing your PVE and PVP player base is the most hurtful thing you can do to your game. Granted with this... you have to create an environment that they can be safe in.... (Think how Eve is setup) Scrap Empires servers - No one is going to play this game but the zerg minded people and they will have no one to fight... Its already proven that MEGAs don't attack MEGAs... they are literally comprised of the WORST pvpers, and PVEers. Not just in skill, but it knowledge. They "zerg" up because they are lazy... they want to do everything fast... everything a MEGA represents is what is wrong with gaming now days. Look at BLDX one of the larger companies... so A.D.D. stricken they mass quit to go play ANOTHER BR... You need to focus on small organized Crews... and I would change company label to "Crew" You can have a "Crew" up to 50 players. I still feel that you should do away with alliances.... If people want to word of mouth alliance... they still gotta deal with hostile NPCs and it makes it that much harder for them to work... granted they will still work... and they should ( enemy of my enemy ). You are going to need NPC factions... this game won't work without it.... Your players will create the content, you need to create the sand for the sandbox. You need to limit cannons on ships to gunports only... I don't know how many times this needs to be stated. You need to overhaul your siege equipment, and stop using the mindset of spamming buildings as being the way you fight. Mortars shouldn't be the ANTI-BOAT, and Sieging Meta....

Ive started to think... they should just launch the patch on live servers and work the kinks out instead of doing this PTR business.... the PTR is not going to encourage hardcore testing of the mechanics and most of the bugs with the war system. It would have to be a really extended PTR testing... and I think most of us are ready to get back to the game after a two week break.... my opinion just launch it already.
  13. Sorry ARK Mentality as in Mentally Handicapped. The raw range and output dmg of the Large cannon in Atlas is not conducive to its game play. They (in my opinion) do not belong on the ships and should be designed as anti-ship Fort defensive emplacements.
  14. THESE LARGE CANNONS FOR THIS GAME AREN'T MADE FOR SHIPS... FORGOT IM TALKING TO #$@#$@#$ ARK PLAYERS. no @#$#@$@# kidding there were like 100 different kinds of cannons all varying in size.... holy #$@#$@. I was gonna type more but you legit just pissed me off.
  15. Large cannons arne't for ships... they are for Anti-ship Fort defenses...
  16. God could you imagine actually having to use a crew to use a big ship... my god that would be a terrible experience to have to use more than 1 person on a ship for pvp.
  17. If they would just add snap points for cannons and build radius limit on top... there would be no need for structure build limits... but I guess they like the boom cannon meta and not actual ship combat.
  18. The only reason anyone played Conan Exiles was because it had nudity and you could make your lil weewee bigger. There is no need to take survival elements from bad games... Atlas needs to first pull from other pirate/sandbox games... then it can pull stuff from survival. Pull ideas from: Pirates of the Burning Sea - ( I mean honestly.... a lot o can be taken from this game... they the OG.) Naval Action - ( Overall ship combat... canons and ships knowing their place in the food chain... a schooner doesn't run up on a Brig...) Archage (pre-beta) -- (some of the ways pirates had to make money... not the same way other people did) (maybe make some factions in Atlas and turn the whole underlying NPC faction into a colonial faction instead of zombies....) Eve -- (almost everything dealing with their economy system...) I am sure there are more titles, but each of these games did something that could really help Atlas out.
  19. The MMO part would be fine with a few adjustments... You can have way too many people in a company. (250 is a start.... but would love to see this lowered to 100.) You can have way too many people in an alliance. (4 is a great start, but I feel alliances should go away) You can be in more than one alliance... lol... (never understood why you could be in multiple alliances... ever... like wtf?) You can put a million cannons faced in one direction on any side of the ship you want. (my dream, wish, want, beat material for this game would be that cannons were only snap-able into cannon ports, and no large cannons on ships)
  20. Besides all this nonsense in this thread... point blank this game is more enjoyable at a smaller scale EG: 10-15 people on each side....
  21. lol maybe you can't think out how this would work... or maybe you think trolling is asking/making dumb comments. But uh, sure I can explain how the game works. So if you are allied to someone they get the same benefits as being in a company.. your npcs wont shoot at them, etc. Take those away... it makes allying with some a lil more difficult....... do you see why that would be? And why most people would probably steer clear of trying to do that?
  22. Its ofcourse not going to stop people "allying" just like an anti-cheat dont stop all cheaters... but i'd rather do what I can to minimize it... how is this not a simple concept?
