  1. I am actually really pissed off at the devs for such a shitty job. The network lag is horrible, the game play is broken as shit, and now this? ya not worth the stress. Ea my ass this is pre alpha.
  2. But people have been duping since the beginning, making mega tribes even bigger then they should be. The duping part is spawning in stuff from the very start, because its ark menu built into an official server for the devs. Yet they got into it from the start. You cant summon galleons unless you have the tools. Glad i am putting it up. How many more of us actually say screw it once they find out?
  3. I agree with Burke Black on this issue, after seeing this on the same server i am on. I am officially done too. We can not having fun with a game anymore with these little kids...
  4. Yup this is not Life is Feudal but it should feels like it. Best to die and re spawn then it is to eat.
  5. Do not build around your base with foundations, boeys etc.. just warning you. Otherwise works fine for us on NA pvp

  7. Small companies should be speaking to larger companies about joining. Just saying it is much easier to join a larger body and work this way. If your looking to PVE there is many reasons to join and help a larger company. Don't be afraid to apply and speak to those people. The game is much more efficient to run with a larger company, for protections, and or help progress your game. Also dont expect keys to the front door, just landing on peoples properties either, you will be shot down.
  8. This is why i said there is no false advertisements as of yet. I am not totally convinced of this. Its EA so i believe they will balance out the issues at hand. How much of a problem this will be having a cap of 150 players in one area, then booting out the rest. They should have limited the company size to 24 players. But allow for alliances. To have more then 2000 in one area is going to be taxing so the Devs have a lot of work on their hands if they expect 40000 to play on 70 servers. They need 280 basically to uphold 40k... math doesn't lie under the 150 cap they use.

Yup the limits of 150 is a tad low. i can see 2000+ per zone but the math is wrong right now 10500 is all the servers basically can hold. which equals 40000k+ across all 4 servers not 1 server so where this all goes i have no idea. They have to fix this and make the servers correct, otherwise it becomes false advertisement, like you suggested. We know from the best dev teams in the world its impossible to have 40k all in one area of the zone.. we are not there yet. They have to uphold what they posted, ARK devs too. Its EA lets see what happens.
  11. I do agree on the handshake issue right now. It does need to be revamped. Having region servers independent on storing character information is not working well at all. A different system needs to be added asap. Its causing massive desync, and also net congestion issues. Not only that your character is stuck on a downed server. That i agree on, but false advertisement is a far cry for me.
  12. The database appears to be on the server that is locked down, or disconnected from the hive selector server. When we try to change to a different server, it is unable to fetch our characters information. This needs to be changed, and should be on the server selector, character information, then it goes to the server region. That way if a server goes down, we are able to select our character from the master hive and not those independent region servers. Why our characters are being copied to and from the initial server is beyond me. It should be setup through the SQL, and R/w all the time. Having it stored this way appears to be locking characters into it, unable to retrieve, and characters are being wiped randomly. Also some are unable to get the Copy/paste from the original region server to the new region server. This appears to me why they are stuck at the zone in and deleted. Desync, queries all that are really slow right now with the amount of players. Since servers can not be restarted manually, i recommend a 4 hour restart manually until we get past these problems. I do feel for you devs, this one is tough with all these players online.
  13. This should have been done differently. I still am having high hopes for the game in general. It should have been setup much differently, Pre Alpha Locked and servers setup ahead of time. Then bring it to Early Access on Steam. This way we know the servers had already been tested to work. Pre Alpha could have been signed up pre purchases ahead of time. This way we do not have the negative reviews each and every time we get into a Pre alpha game. Right now this is showing up as a Pre Alpha stress test. It isn't the games fault, or the amount of people buying into its fault it is just simply the way they managed it. The newer gen devs are not following the old school standards. Lock the crap down and do signed NDA stuff... If you need to fund it fine, then do pre alpha purchases. NDA enclosed. Really think about the bad reviews over the first. My 2 cents... Old school ways are best.
