probably. i was sailing after dark and got in a nasty spot. kinda annoying to lose all that time. <shrug> I just wish it was less real and more fun in that you can maneuver and park your ships easier.

I have never seen this work for me. I had a ship I had to scuttle because it was caught in some shallows that I didnt see until too late. I spent a good 30 minutes holding S and moving left and right to no effect.

ahh I always head to land if possible to anchor. That makes them ignore you even if you have aggro.

can you guys not out run them? I mean I use nothing but speed sails but set your sails into the wind and just go? I have had no problem out running them. Then you anchor somewhere and the ships totter off if they are even caught up with you.

So I worked my butt off to try and find three treasures today. I got 1/3 because the other two said that guardians were still needed to be killed. Nothing would spawn. I left and came back to the area and no dice. One of them was a really good map too.

I call your bullshit. We never threatened you. And you stole all our land all because you want to whine about a game mechanic. I am done with this game you can piss and moan to my the other guy that plays. You are all wastes of human space. You stole every single square inch you took. We never once threatened you. The bouys were because my friend was pissed off that you griefed us. Its all a matter of perspective and mine tells me you are all dicks.

Good for you I wish I had the balls to get revenge against the claim stealers that pissed and moaned about game mechanics of taxation. They decided to steal everything from me using claim flags that dont work right for me. I couldnt be online 24/7 sorry I have a life. I have had to quit the game 3 times now because my friend keeps talking me into comming back and I always log off angry because I hate the current system and the utter garbage that are our neighbors.

resources not spawning could be tied to a lighthouse or bouy. they apparently had a STUPID huge range for blocking respawns like a lighthouse can block an entire island or so I have seen.

After I lost everything I found a small plot of land inland to build on and claim. Still lost it. Your game is broken right now because I cannot even steal back my stuff...

My friend and I had about 10 flags to claim a small portion of an island. Logged in to make sure all my flags were updated to 3 days after the patch. Then went to sleep. When I logged back in 4 hours later all my stuff was stolen. Ship. House. Everything. NA PVE server. Devs give us an update to something. I cant even steal back my property because the three day thing works for the thieves.

I lost everything. I am just waiting to see a response from the devs in hopes I can play the game again.

Lost everything last night. I keep checking back to see if the devs address this. I had 75 hours and people just took everything while I was sleeping in real life. I have no desire to go rob someone else if I can even find one without the three day working.

sorry dude. I just uninstalled the game a few ago. i wont get a refund with the binge playing I did the last few days. maybe I can get a private server someday. much of the game can be cool. i like building ships supplies and sailing for discovery and maps. its all fun. standing near flags to not lose your base then sleeping in real life and losing your base/ship blows. thanks Arch but I am done. It just broke my will to lose my ship that took most of a day and a half to build with 2 people. not to mention stocking and what not.

weighted sails I noticed add carry weight to the ship. that is all i discovered
