Gotta place a post here just as the Devs need to know how we are all feeling. Unreasonable change and that is from someone who just made a few hundred stone building parts. This won't affect me as I farmed and built what I could while we were on 2X and even I think it is a crazy thing to patch. I didn't see many complaints on the forum regarding the cheap cost and high durability.

The OP is exactly the kind of decent player that this game needs. I play in what most would call a PvE style (not being a total dick :P) but I prefer to play on PvP servers because of this sort of thing being a frequent occurrence in other games. I would suggest the OP tried PvP servers as, from what I see on these forums, they are a lot less toxic and problematic.

Try moving (or renaming) your "Saved" folder to another directory. Often helps with bugged character loading. Probably wise not to delete it as that will reset your key config, your discovered fog of war on the map and named discoveries.

I am starting to think that these forums need some moderation to try to prevent the toxic "conversations" that are going on here. People being foul with each other because they are a little irritated at a computer game and others proclaiming they have some sort of secret insider wisdom about what the Developers want from the game. Can people not just raise bug report like adults (1 thread per bug; "me too" reports in that same thread. Polite, accurate descriptions of what the issue was, where it occurred etc.) Can we not have slightly mature discourse with no personal attacks, flaming, trolling, and general insults. Can we not remember this is actually just a computer game. It was also a cheap computer game. Thanks, feel free to flame me.

If you have a disability then it should be allowed. Most jurisdictions have laws for ensuring disabled users have access to systems. This includes things marketed to EU citizens.

How do I raise a request with Admins? My character cannot spawn anywhere. I had the repeated loss of rafts. Finally got the idea that they were too close to claims or lawless areas so I started leaving rafts outside the areas and now I have a glitch where I always spawned inside one of the islands. I set a new Home Server and now I cannot spawn at all; I don't even get loading bars, just Welcome to the Adventure of a Lifetime! and then straight to timeout screen.
