Last night 4am we got 4 animals (Lvl 40+ Tiger, 40+Wolf, 30+wolf and 20Wolf) Today morning we log on on 8 am and they were gone. nothing in tribe log what happend and everything. pls help! ++ animals do very low damage. its like a normal fist hit from Humans pls fix this too. thank you have a good day
  2. We were on our way back to base when the patch rolled out. I logged in to the following: After a long swim back... We decided to try again (we're looking for wheat, of course): There were times when we saw 6-7 ghost ships at once. They are basically everywhere on the open sea. They form a chain so closely linked that you cannot pass between them without causing aggro. It is the very blockade we were assured wouldn't be possible for players to pull off, and now we see why. With a favorable wind we can outrun them, but server crossings and restarts are not safe. The ghost ship spawns, the crocodile and wolf spawns (both of which have found ways to get on top of my Sloops and destroy everything), the lack of timely resource spawning, and exotic metal scarcity is making the game outright unplayable.

Hello, this is more than a bug is a request for support, with my team we had killed the ghost ship and claimed their rewards (Blueprints and gold coins) and we also had sets of metal tools and clothes, and after 2 minutes they closed the server and we did not get to our rafts, then upon re-entry we were killed by a level 2 wolf without the ability to re-enter before. Can this be solved in some way?
  4. Step 1 - Get attacked by wolf. Step 2 - Get attacked by giant snake Step 3 - Run away from snake and collect berries Step 4 - Run into a lion Step 5 - Accidentally gather stone from floor and get attack by a pack of wolfs By this time you should of died about 20 times and collected about 1 wood, 5 thatch, 1 stone and a small amount of berries. Can we crank down the predator spawns, we need it at like a 2 and its currently set at 1000.
  5. All weapons seem to do less damage, as if hitting a wolf for 31 with a sword wasnt bad enough, now it is 25. Guns were nerfed also.
  6. their behavior is certainly dumb but I dont get whats to stop you just leading it to the other side of the island? weve had our fair share of alpha wolf terrorism and we just opt to die 2 or 3 times in a row to lead it far away
  7. We logged in to a ghost ship destroying our Schooner that was anchored by base, then all of us had died to a wolf sticking its head through stone walls. We respawned at our friends base in near region and made sloop to sale back just to have server timeout and sloop get destroyed by 2 ships of damned. At this point we were discouraged but kept going. Rebuilt base that was destroyed, started on new ship then decided to do a treasure map. Killed 2 Warriors of damned, 2 Archers of the damned, 3 Soldiers of the damned. Tried to dig and said still one remaining guard. After about 10 minutes couldnt find it went back to center area they all respawned once again killed 2 warriors, 2 archers, 3 soldiers yet this time said there were 2 guardians remaining so we still couldnt get treasure. Jumped back on our raft to go home and log for night. Get back to base and have ship of damned sitting just off coast again destroying neighbors new ship.
  8. I have a tamed wolf at level 10 with a full experience bar, but it hasn't leveled yet or given me the option of increasing any of its stats. It's stuck at 150 experience and using it to kill other creatures hasn't increased it's exp at all.
  9. Wolves hit you like 3-4 times a second and knock you half way across the map, their agro range is insane too. Watched Ghost ships wreck everyone on my island today. I cant wait to log back in and find my fleet destroyed or find another wolf spawned INSIDE my stone home. Can't do much being a solo player/small company because anything requiring skill points are so damn expensive. Before anyone comes out and tries to remind me that "IT'S EARLY ACCESS" Ill just tell you, no shit Sherlock, i know I am making this thread because i see things that are broke and if enough people complain hopefully they will get fixed and fast cause the game has potential but if they keep it like this its broke. Tone the aggressiveness (hit rate, knock back, agro range) of some of the animals down. Make the ghost ships something rare you come across, not the wolves of the sea. and make the skills a little more cheaper, i understand scaling them up but damn you should cut everything in half of what you got it. no one wants to spend all their points at max level in almost one tree.
  10. my place is the same. Not sooner do you kill them but then they respawn within a few mins. Build guns pikes ect yep did that but find the resource grind is 90% weapons and the last 10 whatever else. I dont mind the wolf or what ever here and there but this is just ridiculous.

Hi, My Buddy and I - yes just the two of us - spent the better part of three days gathering resource, contending with alpha wolf spawns, hunger cold, etc,etc only to have our newly created ship destroyed still in the sloop!!! Please reconsider this patch and rollback, if its intended to get smashed by ghost ships while trying to build then we out ... not gunna get those two days back >.<
  12. So skill points got f*cked today pretty bad. Up until now I was enjoying solo play, ballin' around in my sloop, fragging kids with pistols and such, and dying to vitamin D*ickhead. It's not really viable anymore . Looking to join a good EU PvP official server company. English speaking and mature. TS or mumble is a huge plus, discord voice is meh. Minimal sperging on comms is a must. IGN: Sea Wolf I'm like level 19 atm. In terms of skill tree I'm probably going to go gunnery(pistols, grenades ect) and artillery later on. Let me know company size and rough-ish timezones if interested.
  13. I have Level 2 Wolf tamed, and it Level only 2 Level and stop than leveling.... A Bug or a Feature? Can Tamed Creatures only Level doubled the Level they are bevor Tamed??
  14. On top of the alphas and spawns being absurd, the animal knock back is insane, you cant even properly fight wolves or lions without ranged, because melee weapons are pure GARBAGE, who would have thought a sword would do 31 damage, when a bow with stone arrows does 43? It takes 10-15 hits to kill even low level things, let alone the fact that you have to STOP to swing, you cant avoid them or time swings in between the animals bite because of how fast they attack. I am level 43 right now and killing a single wolf with a melee weapon is near suicide, if you do your armor will be nearly broken and you will be almost dead. Guns are the only way to survive right now in wolf/lion spawning areas. You one shot them with rifles or pistols. In Ark, I would run around with a spear and kill T-rexes, pretty easily, in DnL I could kill anything with melee weapons, this is basically suicide to even attempt it.
  15. So I decided to settle on a high desert island (because that's all I could find) and the carnivore spam is really infuriating. The area is unplayable right now. At every step, there's a crocodile, wolf, alpha snake, you name it. Here is the welcoming committee near my house: https://i.imgur.com/Mn2wba2.jpg The average beach: https://i.imgur.com/mdu1B8f.jpg I don't mind having to kill a wolf here and there but with hordes like these all over the place this is not a sea and pirate themed game, this is Ark but much worse, because at least Ark had less carnivores spam and strong herbivores to keep them in reasonable numbers. And to add insult to injury, they are on a 5 minutes respawn timer. How many times do i have to kill them? I can't make arrows fast enough to deal with the spam and that's all I've been doing for hours.

I was on an Island with plenty of trees after a few hours they stopped respawning and now I had to switch islands but getting claims on PVE can be hard since one crew can claim an entire island. 3. Crew Groups randomly resetting and deleting when I relog. happened a few times and this can be a problem since I have people in my crew that are lower ranks and I don't want them to have access to certain containers since they could steal. 4. Players can get stuck after logging back in on top of a small shipyard. 5. Vitamin system is horrible and needs balancing. Some changes needed IMO. 6. Wolfs and Lions are OP. Too many spawn and can constantly spawn every few mins after killing them. Needs some balancing or reducing amount spawned. I am constantly having to swim in the sea to escape them. Some I can fight but even a sword and armor can take a while to kill the wolfs. After fighting 1 wolf I don't have enough health to fight anything. I am now on an island with snakes and they are balanced since they are hard to see in the grass and can easily be avoided and outran if you keep aware of the surroundings. 7. Servers crashing every so often and ends up with a rollback. 8. Sometimes the rafts and other boats can bug out. When I lower the sails the anchor drops automatically but the boat still moves and then I can not raise the sails to stop the boat and the anchor just stays in the water and I can not raise or drop the anchor unless I take the boat back to the same spot. 9. Bed respawn timers are not showing correctly.
  17. First of, sorry if this isn't allowed, and if i'm crossing any lines. I'm just venting purely because I enjoy the game & i want to see it get better. So, just to preface this at the time of writing, i have 39 hours of playtime, and i played Ark for a substantial amount of time, so the issues i am raising aren't to do with me being educated, but more what i think should happen with the game to make it more fair. Although there are a LOT of issues with the game, i just want to say i am extremely happy with the progress the developers have made & the time they have done it in, especially in such a stressful time of the year for anyone, now with that all said and done time to get into the actual issues! (I'm going to break it down into sections) Gameplay Issues (The biggest): - You can raid stone bases with shields and shovels. Any Pickaxes and Axes/Hatchets don't do any damage to it whatsoever... but a fucking shield and shovel does?! - this needs to be fixed immediate, its an extremely game-breaking bug. I have been on the receiving end of people 'abusing' this, and i just watched the base i spent 2 days grinding for disappear. This may come off as salty (and yes, i am a bit) but i'm sure you all would be too. - This may come off as a bit 'racist', but i do not intend it to come off as that, but in my honest opinion, i feel as if China should be region-locked to their own servers. This is because we get massive zergs (20-30 people) duping, hacking etc. And all of the reports i have seen are 90% reports about Chinese players. With this change (although people will more than likely dislike it), i do wish we would get a wipe, too. On EU PVP and NA PVP there are Chinese Zergs with maxed out Galleon which is just insane in 2 days. Not just that, it gives everyone an equal chance now that the servers are semi-stable for everyone. - Resources still don't re-spawn if you're on the island. We sat on an island for a good 2 hours waiting for trees, etc to respawn and barely any did. We also waited for metal nodes to respawn, but literally none did until we came on the day after, then only half of what was there came back. - Climbing Picks are way too overpowered. I managed to rush them and raid someone within the first hour of me playing, and that got me geared (yes it was an offline raid, but oh well!). I feel as if they should be at least mid-game, or requires a "rock climbing" skill under survivalist, shouldn't be able to get it too early into the game. - People are able to claim whole island, so i suggest either making the map bigger to allow us to settle in places where others aren't, or limit 1 claim per company or person, which can be upgraded with gold to be able to place more. (I'd prefer company, that way it requires you to ally with others to claim). - The default lock-on PVP Camera is extremely annoying, i know you can disable it, but in all honesty i'd prefer the melee/pvp system from ARK. It feels a lot more balanced in my opinion. - On some islands, way too many animals spawn. Before we got raided, our base was in F11 (which has desert islands) and at 1 time, we were all getting chased by like 6/7 snakes, 2 crocks and 3 vultures. It shouldn't be too 'easy' to claim an island, etc but that's just ridiculous, especially since we were fresh spawns, hitting level 20 snakes with spears. - Its way too easy to destroy ships. We had a Schooner with 4 total cannons and 4 total swivel guns. Another, idol, Schooner took around 8 shots before it sank, its too much of a grind to be sunk in such little shots in my opinion. I feel as if it should be more shots in order to destroy the bigger boats. - Tying into my previous point, there is no way to protect your Schooner whilst you're offline, sure you can place it in a Freeport, but people can just ram it (Yes i've seen the patch notes, and i know they're fixing it), but we took our Schooner to a Freeport, and when we logged on, it was gone. This can also be used for trolling purposes, so i'd recommend making a place where you can store your boat in the Freeport for gold (and it just globally makes it invisible for everyone, like the bodies, etc), that way we have a sure way on how to store our boat, and it requires some-kind of grinding so we can have a 100% way to keep our boat, that we spent days grinding for, safe. - The vitamin system is very good, but pointless considering people literally just kill themselves and respawn to get all of their stats back, if this is how the game was intended to be played, no change is required. A change i would suggest would be just to remove the system entirely or to make it less 'advanced' as its too hard to manage it all in a game like this, so dying and respawning is the easiest way to do it. - When you purchase an AI from the Freeports, they get stuck and you have to 'tame' them with gold, since they count as AI (just like animals, etc) people can kill them, so its pretty pointless getting them, or you have to travel to a Freeport with no one in it to even buy one. - On some Tundra islands, there is a severe lack of fibre, in a place where berries, tress, etc can thrive it doesn't make sense that fibre is the only thing that can't thrive, even though they can thrive in harsh conditions in real life. - The ship collision on the sea floor needs a bit of a nerf. Even though you're clearly not touching the floor, you can sometimes get stuck (only with the Schooner+), i experienced getting stuck multiple times, and required us to just sit in place, rotate and wait for the wind to push us out of the stuck area. - There is a severe lack of items such as wheat, etc. There is no documentation as to where they spawn, and the map is too big to be searching every island to find it. Its also like this with a lot of other resources, such as gems/crystals, etc. - Taming is close to impossible, one of my crew-mates got the whole tree for taming, and we bola'd a wolf and attempted to feed it bones, but whenever we got too close, we'd just get bitten and given a severe amount of knockback. We searched around the wolf, and the only accessible place to feed it bones is by its head. I suggest in the taming tree that we are able to make a 'muzzle' kind of item that we can place over the wolfs head (and has the same action as finding water/reloading), and you have it hit it all green for it to work. - There is a massive lack of general information about the game. No idea on respawn times, item locations, etc. We searched for a good 4 hours to find some gems yesterday, and we didn't find a single one, now that could be because of bad luck/someone has already mined them, but it's annoying considering its required to progress, and we're expected to search throughout the whole map to find 1 ingredient we need. Additionally, there is an extreme lack of information about farming/irrigation, music and how to find it (and what i even does), etc. - Doors and Ladders are annoying to open and climb. You have to look directly at the interaction point for it, i don't remember it being this annoying in ARK. - For some weird reason, gates are MUCH louder than anything else in game, which is.. very annoying especially when its like 2am, everythings quiet and you just get the shit scared out of you by a gate (yes it happened to me lmao). - The fishing system isn't fluent. We have no idea on how to do it, etc. Network Issues (Its smaller!): - Randomly, the server/instance crashes/restarts. I know the developers are constantly working on fixing and improving the networking side of things, but yeah, its still annoying. When the servers crash, it rolls us back anywhere between 5-10 minutes (Experienced a 20 minute rollback before) - Servers refusing connections is a very big issue. At the time of writing this, a LOT of people are experiencing this issue (more specifically, people who have logged out in Freeports). E12 has been dead for the past 7+ (or so) hours. I haven't been able to connect, and i know a lot of other people are experiencing the same issue, but no comment from the developers side whatsoever. I've scouted Reddit, Twitter and even the forums and there has been no reply except for Jats tweet (https://twitter.com/Jatheish/status/1078031356494524417). - Just a very big issue with people not being able to connect, and extremely vague lost-connection issues. This "shit post" wasn't/isn't intended be a dig at anyone. Its just me more expressing my thoughts and opinions (and venting as i stated above!). This post was also created to help the developers in identifying the pressing issues that us, as players, are experiencing. But i do really, really hope for a wipe, even though i'm sure some of you are against it. I do have my crew working on another base, so its not just because we got raided. It's purely because it makes it more fair. Last thing, congrats to the developers for hitting 53,000 concurrent players today!
  18. I've been playing for a couple of days, and have accumulated a bunch of questions: 1. When we start out, we can only craft Cloth Armor. What's the next armor tier, and are all other armors unlocked via the Armory skill tree? 2. Let's say I collect 70 Fish Meat. It'll instantly start decaying, but only 1 unit at a time (unless I'm mistaken). Does this mean that my Fish Meat would decay twice as fast if I split the stack in half (2x35)? 3. Yesterday I logged out standing in my fully repaired raft. When I logged in today, everything seemed to be in order. But 5 seconds after I left my raft, it sank. What could the explanation be? Quick gradual offline decay which coincidentally finished destroying the raft just as I logged in? 4. Let's say a ship has many storage boxes in it, then sinks. What happens to the storage boxes -- do they sink to the ocean floor, and can they still be accessed there? 5. When a storage box decays, do the contents decay as well? Or will the contents spill out once the storage box is removed from the game? 6. Is the heavy plate armor superior to all other armors, or are there good arguments for using light armor instead? In example, will you sink if you're wearing plate armor in the water? Or will you run slower, or spend your stamina more quickly? 7. I logged out for 15 minutes earlier today. When I logged back in, a wolf had already killed me. Does this mean that any hostile animal can kill me if it comes across my sleeping body while I'm logged out? So if I don't have a base yet, I should probably sail out on the ocean with my raft before logging off? 8. Can my corpse be looted on PvE server? I appreciate answers to any of these, thanks!

  21. This game is great when you're sailing, exploring and meeting possible allies or enemies. The problem is the survival element that is too strong on it and stays in the way of most fun not adding much fun in the process at all. While leaving the intial isle and exploring the world is great it may take a while punching trees to half of your life to get enough wood or punching stone for the same purpose. The safe "E" to collect option is not always avaliable. We could have a reduction of resource required for the intial tools and first weapon(stone spear). After you gave the fist step, dressed yourself and built your raft, bed, chest and campfire on that raft, the next progress step would require metal. Every crafting bench, ship or tool you may want to craft now will require about 20 metal and metal is not that accessible. While you may find metal spawns that yield up to 200 metal on one run, for someone starting it may take hours or days to find such spawn and have the luck its avaliable. Pickaxe on stone is just as bad or worse to get that amount of metal. About the lone wolfs. While the whole game seems to be focused on group play and conflict ( even on PvE) the lone wolf experience is just broken. I know as i said the game is meant tobe played in groups but many people would happen to play it alone for while until they find a company to join. Right now the game got about 46k players online but that wont last forever and lower pop times will show up. A healthier solo player experience is desirable specially that you guys dont allows a offline SP experience even knowing its built on Ark's skeleton. Let people focus on what's really nice and unique about it instead of keeping reminding that its an Hardcore Ark son. As a streamer said: Right now the game is good but you have to fight it before play it. Thats not nice at all.
  22. Hostile Animal Spawns - Currently there are lawless islands with entire colonies of things that want to kill you. I understand adding predators to islands outside of freeports but currently it's at insane levels. Either change the spawn rates or make it some they kill each other some it thins out the herd. I don't understand why a croc doesn't try to eat a wolf.... Ship Decay Rate - Ships erode over time but currently I think it's a little steep. Dropping the decay by about 40-60% would really be nice. It would really help out people that work, all players to put time elsewhere, and still make ship maintenance a necessary part of sailing around. Vitamin decay vs food decay - Food does not decay while the player is not actively doing something, so if your sailing along, your vitamin levels are plummeting while food doesn't. This seems like a major oversight, but I think the remedy to this would be do decrease vitamin decay by quite a bit. Keeping food is already hard, so increasing food decay would actually make it even more of a chore to stay alive. Make it challenging, not impossible. Resource Respawn Rates - Islands outside of freeports are sometimes barren of resource because people have populated them with structures and left. Please decrease the no spawn ring around structures so new visitors to islands can actually partake in exploration and gathering. I know structure decay is there, but it's not working / being effective. Exploration - Where is my incentive to explore beside building ships? Give us things to do, reasons to go out and do things other than farming materials. Discoveries - Add surveying and about 300% more kinds of flora and materials. The Age of Exploration involved discovering things, not just islands. Having a sailing game only about piracy is boring, add more "meat" to the game. Trading - I don't understand how trading is added in the game. Yes you can do it with players but what about the ports? I suggest adding copper and silver currency to the game and allowing players to make coins. ( Meaning being in a large company has perks ) Give freeports goods and supplies to sell to players for all 3 currencies ( copper, silver, gold, for example ). This gives players incentive to return to freeports and interact with new players and recruit them, as well as offers items to all of the above. This creates traders and give pirates an incentive to pirate at sea. Ships - Add more kinds, there are all kinds of ships from this era. If you add my trading suggestion, then trading vessels will be something to think about. Galleys were also used during this time and would be fun from a crew ( both player and AI ) and gameplay perspective. Galleys had rams, so it would add some fun gameplay around that, and used oars and sails, often latin sails. I might add more to this list, but I think a lot of this would really be cool additions.     Swarms

    Okay, I loved playing Ark, and I'm definitly having fun in Atlas as well, but there's moments where I want to throw my keyboard against the wall because of this game. Disembark on an island, sure there's some dangerous things around, but getting swarmed out of the blue by 5 wolves, 4 crocolisks, 3 snakes and 2 scorpions? Can we please have some logic in place that prevents packs from swarming the islands? It's annoying enough having to manage all resources, getting stuck in a pouncing wolf that I really don't need to be ambushed by 12 creatures at once.

Hi my name is pontus and im 28y/o frome Sweden long time ARK fan with many hundreds of hours played:) I love this game even more! and huge work the team doing to the servers . the game is smoother and smoother for every patch i have a thing that is kind of a big one when you playing alone as iam doing right now . have build my self a sloop and enjoying my time at seas byt when i sail close to a island it is 9/10 times that a elit(100+lvl) crocodile attacking me adn oneshoots me and then camping under the boat so it may take 10 repawns before i can get away And the coasts are flooded with crocodiles and wolfs so its almost impossible to get onto land . the big problem is not the number of crocks and wolf but the power of them cuz one crocodile lvl 1-5 is a big handfull for one player . maybe not if you are fully geard and lvl20-25+. sure im up for hard challenges but its almost 99% death so i have to respawn on the ship and sail on its mostly these 2 problem that is clamping down my enjoyment and experience of this great game ! Devs keep up the good work!
