  1. You will have to do it individually. In order to make sure it works properly, make sure both of your governance settings are the same, and merge directly via company owners.

that will ensure all property transfers, but players will need to be added one at a time.

  2. It’s a roll for the bonus you get on crafting.

I respec’d to build masterwork flintlocks, and it showed 151% on the blueprint. The 3 i crafted had different bonuses given, one was 11%, while the other was 8% (320% intelligence stat). Some things i crafted only had 1%, the highest I saw was 11.5%.

I think the main point being said is, people want the gathering in the week to be upped so all the fun stuff can be done on the weekend when everyone is on. Which is understandable. But with everything there needs to be a balance, and what is that balance is the question?

That is true, but 2x is more than just for farming too. Usually my company mates and I decide to do maps on one day, and harvesting on the other. Of course it changes depending on what you want to do each week, but that varies on each person.

There are only two harvesters in my company, we dont mind it at all since we came from Ark which had much lower rates. We usually use Monday or Sunday night to fill all of our mat storage, and it lasts throughout the week until its time for the next weekend project. Setting your own schedule is up to you and the company, not the dev team.

  4. Also keep in mind that during the week, the playerbase is always going to be lower. Especially in NA, most of us work during the week (how else can we afford rigs poweful enough to run these games).

Farming right now is not bad, get a few tames and its easy. What we dont need is every one carelessly pumping out ships to crash them into the shores, or worse, abandon them once they’re bored.

you think the amount of islands would make it a huge exploration game but in the end you have 5 mirrored copies of each island in each different climate zone and that´s it.

since you only have the limited base building elements every damn building looks the same, ever island looks the same and every harbour looks the same.

Despite the islands being the same shape, ive found that they definitely do not have the same geography. Sure there is a few different sets for those island shapes, so they may be similar. But rather than just sailing by and saying ‘oh its the same as this other island’, have you made landfall and explored?

One of my favorite aspects of PvE is travelling to see all the different ways people have built their bases. I love the creativity that I see in a lot of zones, and that’s what makes getting discovery points and travelling fun to me. I have never seen two islands with the same shape that are exact mirror copies. Players are what make each area different, maybe interacting with them will give you that adventure you’re searching for 😉

  6. I think what the OP is saying is that a critical mechanic for the game is not being applied because of the way large companies work. Ideally, the game would work well in PvP if these large companies actually had incentive to fight eachother. They don’t, they can each do a lot of damage to eachother, but they don’t want to risk losing it all to someone who is equal or greater. So instead of large territories owned and protected by a mega, with multiple small companies under their wing, contributing their taxes so the mega can spend those resources building ports, or defending their territories or attacking an enemy.

The concept initially was just that, be a part of the mega’s who govern, or do your own thing with your ‘faction’ of choice, but contribute to their economy. Essentially creating a player driven environment with the sandbox they provided. Of course you could venture out on your own, but we see how this is actually working for those that do.

Instead we have a bunch of land grubby normies who are too afraid to fight eachother, so they swallow and absorb every small company they can, because it’s a guaranteed victory in the end.

  7. Well, if you come back with a whaling ship, you can resupply on our dock on the NE island. I forget the name of the island sorry, but if you enter Flatlas Inc territories our port is open to the public for repairs and resupply. Just be careful of our anti-sod sea wall.

  8. @arzosah the timer is in in-game days, so you’ll need to keep that in mind. For example, 1 hour in game time is about 60 seconds real time. You can set it to 100 in game days for example, and that will be a few hours.

I don’t think it’s meant to be an on-going thing, just a way for two groups to battle it out, whether over a dispute or just for fun.

  9. You can declare war on an ally company. We did this with one of our allies, and I would recommend you ally before declaring war. This way, you can actually board eachother’s ships for boarding actions. Otherwise you’ll just be confined to shooting cannons at eachother which is fun, but a mock battle of 2 schooners vs 1 galleon is more fun.

  10. @Archsenex any incentive to destroy the ships would be great. At first we just wanted the higher level crew (which i guess is a decent incentive but at this point i just leave them), but the lack of any good drops except for bp’s is a big reason why its a waste of time/resources to fight them.

We do it for fun, but for others I can see it being more of a hassle. But honestly, the ships at sea add a dynamic that make it less boring to sail. I’m personally excited for new SOD types, and the potential of merchant or enemy npc ships at sea too.

Imagine a regional quest where you can go and save a merchant ship from an SOD or something when you sail by it, that would definitely make sailing, and ship combat a lot more fun.

  11. @Wh33ls right, it should be saying that. However even top 10’s were showing 21 day timers on them. I was confused because I know they should be at 3 days.

Several days ago, we found one to contest before the timers started showing 21 days on all claims, but it was a top 10 and someone immediately travelled there to contest.
