  1. I can also reproduce this bug and have mentioned it several times in the Bug reports. I can reproduce this bug by moving into 3rd person, zoomed out, orbital camera view and then slowly move my character around with the large gate-way item outline showing. As I move it into a correct position for placement, I will, 9 times out of 10, crash to the desktop with a client error report being generated. Sys Specs: Windows 10 64-bit, Alienware 15 R3 Intel I7, 7th gen 3.2GHz (8 CPUs), 32gb DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300), GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB GDDR5. Atlas client is installed and operating from an SSD. Grapeshot, we really need to get this looked into, please and thank you.
  2. With the variety of ship sails, what are the actual differences between all of the sail types, I can only see a difference in speed? I know what they are suggesting but I am concerned that they are not actually being implemented correctly within the game. So, am I right?
  3. Grapeshot, please acknowledge that you are working on the following bugs, thank you: The Survival skill, "Water Swimming Speed" has been rendered useless as the SHARK'S behavior has been recently tweaked to NEVER stop their chase and they now swim Faster than maximum points invested into this skill. (Used to be fine before the recent shark changes). The Archery skill, "Strong Arm" does NOT modify the projectile weapon damage as described. Same DPS with or without the points invested. The Beastmastery skill, "Sneaking" does NOT modify aggressive creature's visibility range, rendering this skill line, a waste of points. The Hand-to-hand skill, "Brass Knuckles" fist weapon has too little durability and a fraction of durability is depleted on every punch, effectively breaking the weapon after and during combative encounters. While in third-person, "Orbital view" and moving the camera around to place a Large Gateway, the Atlas client frequently will crash to the desktop. While on a wooden ladder looking up, the player is unable to close the trapdoor to their hatch frame, but if that wooden ladder is replaced with a rope ladder they are able to. (seems like an unintentional bug). The Tool, "Grappling Hook" does not expend any stamina to use. Characters can climb, swing, and hold on to it all day long without losing any stamina. (certainly, a bug as the climbing picks drain stamina quickly and so should the Grappling Hook). Characters will drain very little stamina by "Bunny-hopping" around the map in a timed manner but they will still move at a Sprint speed equivalent. Using this technique, one could bunny-hop across an entire island without draining all over their stamina and at a sprint's velocity. The "Tarot" skill tree has still not implemented, will we be seeing magical/Tarot related content in the near future? Grapeshot, I would greatly appreciate if you would kindly respond with some sort of acknowledgment that you are aware of these bugs and are possibly working on them. Thank you, sincerely.
  4. Bows and crossbows have a place in this Imaginary and Fantasy MMORPG and their ability to fire underwater and silently is a godsend! I am praying that they increase the damage of the crossbow to balance with pistols. I vote to leave the bows in. If you want historical content then move on to another kind of game like the "Call of Duty" series. The devs said all along that Atlas was a Fantasy, Survival Pirate MMORPG.
  5. Maybe the devs should work more on adding the features that they had originally promised such as magic, the "Tarot skill tree" first instead of adding in new content? I would much rather see this occur instead of the steampunk content...
  6. Oh, something I noticed....for "Crow" you list "Berry" twice. The first time you show an image of a worm but named it "Berry". I feel this was a mistake and bet it is supposed to read as "Worm".
  7. I love it, could you consider adding an ability for users to post important information such as locations the animals are found, special abilities the creature may have, and conditions/climate/temperatures the creature prefers for breeding? Thank you in advance.
  8. Yep, I gotta agree with you on this one. The idea of a sophisticated, metal-crafted submarine is too steam-punk for me and if we are intelligent and skilled enough to build this kind of machinery, why are we still using pathetic and feeble, "wooden" boats? Grapeshot, remove the silly submarine and please leave Steampunk crap out of this pirate game, we don't need any of it. Thank you.
  9. I don't really know what you are speaking of, maybe it's your island? My island has a crap-load of deadly giant-cobras and wolves running in abundance and I could easily do without these impediments as I tame and farm. I don't mind some dangers but here on my island, these Cobras are and wolves are everywhere and kill my tames often. I don't complain about them as I can build defenses and higher structures to get away from these dangers but with those sharks, I don't have anything that I can do... Looking forward to the speargun but will hold my breath that it will be enough damage to kill the sharks before they 2-hit me.
  10. Your "opinion" was posed as a smartass comment. That is called being toxic, not helpful. Nice try... I also addressed this to Grapeshot and never requested your own input but thank you. It was not a waste of points as I had enjoyed freediving for resources at the bottom of the ocean and THAT is my playstyle. I despise sailing and PVP interactions. But now, with the new shark tweak, placing points into faster swim speed IS a waste of points I am afraid =(
  11. Yep, considering it nullifies completely the advantage of investing points into the faster swim speed skill. I feel it is a valid concern, otherwise what's the point of wasting those points into the skill? We have enough hard and deadly aspects in this game and dealing with smart-mouthed, toxic players like yourself is more than we need anyway. I would prefer to be able to have a chance with my free-diving once again.
  12. I feel this that this is a bug as now the sharks swim faster than even players that have fully invested points into "faster-swimming speed". Also, there is the fact that the sharks are extremely tougher, with lots of HP and damage and now they NEVER lose aggro, no matter chasing you below or at the surface of the ocean. These sharks way too OVERPOWERED! Grapeshot, please re-evaluate the sharks as right now with there latest tweaks, they are completely too fast/tough. Before I was able to spec full points into faster swim speed so I could enjoy free-diving and could on many occasions avoid death but now, they are a guaranteed death and this makes the faster swim speed skill a complete waste of the investment and renders swimming in the ocean absolutely no fun anymore.
  13. They need to fix this. Sharks are way too aggressive now and there is NO way to avoid them at all. Not right nor fun at all....
  14. Please fix this, use to be worth investing point sin faster swim speed to avoid sharks while swimming but after the last patch, this skill is worthless as now the sharks swim faster and NEVER give up their chase. Eventually, they catch you every time and this makes the game crap for us free-divers!!! Since the sharks never behaved like this before, I feel this is a bug that needs to be addressed, please and thanks.
  15. SO because YOU are cool with this, then WE all must be? What a DINK! After the last "Wipe" that player base never returned back to the big numbers it once was. I can assure you that any more wipes will scare off another large chunk of the player community. EA or not, it does not matter, players still will not appreciate all of these wipes.
  16. I agree here.... don't need to waste my time. Please let us know.
  17. We don't need a freaking crossbow, just make the Archery skill line "Strong Arm" actually work...As of now, the points invested do NOTHING to increase its damage.
  18. To be fair. I didn't plan to abandon the Empires server, I noticed quickly that no one ever was on with me so I jumped servers before I was screwed. I could see the writing in the stone, unfortunately. =(
  19. I am constantly receiving a cold and heat debuff at the same time and if this game is trying to be a real-life survival game why in the hell are we dying of hunger and thirst so fast huh? The basic human standard is 3 days without water and 3 weeks without food, we should NOT be passing out and dying from the effects of starvation, thirst nor overeating as realistically we'd have plenty of time to find food, water, or stop eating from our upset stomach. We, humans also need to urinate and crap but we don't really need a game that makes us do it or die within 30 minutes when we don't, as this would NOT be realistic and obviously NOT fun at all. (Suggestion: Reduce the time it takes to deplete water and food. Remove the vitamin crap from the game altogether as it is NOT realistic and is an annoying nuisance.) When we are sailing, we should not see impossible amounts of water spouts that regenerate themselves and follow you for miles like heat-seeking missiles. Ridiculous! (Suggestion: Make the water spouts less aggressive and less common or remove them from the game.) Why do you even have fortitude in the first place if it does nothing to counter the negative environmental effects? What is the point? (Suggestion: Make every point invested in this attribute, actually decrease the percentage of damage taken from detrimental environmental effects.) The "Beastmastery" skill "Sneaking" does NOTHING to actually lower wild predators aggressive radius. They still sense us from miles away. (Suggestion: make this skill reduce creature's line of sight radius.) The "Archery" skill "Strong Arm" does NOT increase ranged projectile damage at all. (Suggestion: make this skill actually provide increased damage modifier to ranged projectile damage.) The "Hand-to-hand" skill "Brass Knuckles" is a waste of time as the durability is way too low and every punch depletes the weapon's durability too much. In every combative encounter, you perform several punches in succession and after every combat encounter the brass knuckles are destroyed, many times in the middle of combat! (Suggestion: remove the brass knuckles and just make barehanded combat deal a little more damage to offset this.) Where is the "Tarot" skill tree? Please, do not add anything new into the game until you fix the current broken features and implement the features you have been eluding too from the beginning. (Suggestion: Implement this skill as you have promised us magic since the beginning and yet add in new content BEFORE the rest is implemented, balanced, or functional.) Honestly, if you developers would show your community that you actually care and bother to PLAY ATLAS, you would swiftly see exactly the unforgivable nuances your game is generating for those players that are playing your game.
  20. The Grappling Hooks have a few innate Bugs or Exploits: First, if you use it to climb or swing, you lose absolutely NO stamina. Second, You can use them to climb up a sheer cliff and when you reach its limit and begin to fall, you can swiftly cast it again to climb even higher. Repeating this over and over until you have scaled any wall/cliff and lose virtually NO stamina doing so.
  21. Screw that noise!! I love Lawless as it is the ONLY thing that makes me remain and play the game. The claim system and "Landlord screwing their tenants" game is a bunch of crap. Now your suggestion to reduce the amount of "Freeports" makes great sense. I would also suggest that the devs make us some building materials where we could build our own "Floating Towns" where we have to defend it from raiders and offer wayfaring sailors a chance to dock safely and resupply while out at sea. This would add an entertaining new dynamic to the game and may possibly solve some of the lack of land issues.

  24. Ummm, I was and wanted to play on Empires but I could quickly tell that it was very dead won't last long. It will just get scrapped. So, I have crossed over to Colonies PVP server instead to ensure that I don't lose any of my precious progression. Sucks, but the writing was plain as day on the wall.
  25. Place your bets! What do you think will go wrong as they wipe, deploy, and bring ATLAS: 1.5 servers online?
