On NA PvE (K4) we have 1 land claim, and 2 sea claims. Viewing the flag, says we have -2 claims which causes us to have 4 days refresh timer. How are we at -2?? and can this be looked at?

No you can't tame the 120+ animals, you can tame 2 of the dinosaurs and late feb with tokens can tame the mythical creatures. As for building in order to tame, taming pens are a cheese way to avoid mechanics, learn to tame the way it was meant to be done with the dangers involved.

Losing, Lost, not fully sure yet but I really don't feel much desire to login now. Built the base, tamed the animals, did the FoY, as a solo player really not seeing much to do anymore beyond harvesting more materials just to have them.

Everyone is different and enjoys different things. Everyone also plays the game differently. Personally I gather, by hand and not with tames, and build. 90% of the time i'm naked, with nothing but my gathering tools. I have never gone sailing, never built a boat, and probably will never see the end game content. But it's still fun to me, and will continue to be fun. Personally my thoughts on permadeath, are it's a good thing. It gives the game longevity. Instead of maxing yourself out and being bored, you now have a mission.. either find the fountain, or start over. For tames, I do feel they need some use, but before they get that use they need to fix the entire taming system. Everything is just trap it behind doorframes, and tame away with no risk. Why should there be any rewards without any risk? Overall I feel they have done an exceptional job on the game, and I look forward to the future.

Game released during holidays, students were home, people had vacation time, higher peak numbers. Schools are back in, and people are back to work, a drop is expected.

Rejoice, the patch notes for v10 have been updated to add that everything with inventory on PvE will be locked.

The Servers/IP's are all owned by Nitrado, who hosts the servers for WC and is based out of Germany so this makes sense. While they do offer US hosting, for Atlas it does appear the servers are all over there (doing traceroute to the server for Region K4 NA PvE shows the packets are going trans-Atlantic with large increase in latency at the point it's crossing the ocean).

Yeti's are the easiest to kill for farming it so far, but any "mythical" creature can drop it.

a month? Try 6 months, the original release date for Extinction was Spring 2018.

Generally they found bugs last minute that need fixing, which is why they announce 9, but then it ends up being 9.12 or 9.15 .. also just because they want to patch, doesn't mean they can as the update needs to go through validation... sucks, but it happens.

They tweeted all servers will remain down until they find the cause of everyone being ejected from their companies on EU PvE
