  1. There are many solutions offered on the forums and while any of them are better then what currently exists, they all have flaws. Best solution is to fix the weight glitch first. 1: At max weight you cannot climb, jump, grapple or glide. 2: If you carry more then double your weight capacity (or X amount over max weight) you die. When you die any weight over your max is dropped from your corpse. 3: When dragging a body you cannot climb, jump, glide or grapple without dropping the body. 4: Anyone not in your company does not count as crew. You could probably even eliminate 2 if you add 1 and 3. This would stop overcrew sinking and overweight sinking while still retaining the ability to drag a body which has real in game uses. It probably wouldn't be easy to program but it seems a comprehensive fix, if you see a loop hole please let me know. EDIT: Just had a new idea, though i see someone mentioned it below as well. Simply make the ships unable to move instead of sink; then give us a command to remove any non company sleeping people from your ship. Not drag them as that could create griefing in and of itself, but just an E option to "remove from ship" that pretty much just dumped them overboard.

  3. Already have over 100 hrs in this, moooore then got my $25 worth and it'll only get better. If i never played it again, it's been worth it.
  4. Would it be possible to get a non buff giving version of the music that auto plays? In a certain other pirate game that shall not be named, i really enjoyed relaxing and playing sea shanties for the crew as well sailed along. it makes long voyages much less tedious. I want to relax with some music while enjoying your beautifully made waves and sky, not play guitar hero.
  5. Quiet you! You trying to get the bow nerfed so we have no means to efficiently kill things?
  6. Revert the changes to lawless, at least the resource thing. Many of us don't want to deal with people stealing our claims, or having to pay taxes... THAT'S WHY WE ROLLED ON A PVE SERVER. lawless areas were the only place you didn't have to deal with that. We want to build, sail and explore, not get involved in daily land battles and overly aggressive Zerg companies.
  7. hmm, wonder if i'm just missing the animation. i have him set to turret and atk my target. i'll have to check more closely
  8. Well as of yesterday the spouts didn't have an inventory or fill anything up, at least for me and my company. Was getting mixed news on this, people on the forums said it worked, people in game said it didn't so who knows. Also, if you use the shovel and win the mini game it gives 600 water, which is enough to fill up 3 jars. Since our water is 100, each jar fills you up twice. I wouldn't call that a small amount for 30 sec of digging.
  9. assuming they ever fix the patch, you'll be able to fill skins and jars from ground spouts
  10. I know you have to enable turret mode in their AI but i've only seen him attack once and it was after i died with him on me. 1: Do they attack while on your shoulder or only when on the ground? I've had him on my shoulder and attacked something, never seen him join in. (turret on, atk your trgt) 2: Does the melee stat affect their ranged attack since i don't think they do melee?
  11. Ok, i logged out in my base for the update, logged back in and was on my ship naked. Went to my base and saw myself asleep UNDER the floor. I had to destroy the floor, then kill my own sleeping self to loot my gear back... I think i'm done till the next patch lol
  12. A couple of patches in and still resource respawn bugs, no weapon damage changes... and of course no pve sink griefing fix lol
  13. My point was, if fire arrows are so op, why does it take 4 to kill a low lvl mob?
  14. Any chance of you guys implementing separate rules for pvp vs pve? I'm sure it may be a lot of work short term, but it would make your lives easier in the long run. Almost all of the "fixes" you've made for PVP have hurt PVE. I'd give examples but it'd make the post to long and both forums are filled with examples. Also, do you ever plan on addressing the overweight sinking of ships on PVE? I've not seen a single mention of this from you. Even a "we're working on it" would go a long way.
  15. i hit a lvl 5 Giant Snake in the head with a fire arrow and it did MAYBE 1/4 damage, that's with the fire dot running its full course... on a lvl 5
  16. Here's an idea... NERF DAMAGE AGAINST PLAYERS! INCREASE CRAFTED ARMOR RESISTANCE TO PLAYER DAMAGE. Stop nerfing things that affect PVE. The game is almost unplayable on my island now because weapon damage is so low while mobs damage remains unchanged. I hit a lvl 5 Giant Snake in the head with a fire arrow and it did less then 1/4 dmg, that's WITH the fire dot running it's course.... on a lvl 5
  17. They nerfed the damage against "armored targets" which was meant for pvp, but apparently animals wear plate as well. Once again PVP ruins PVE. When will devs learn toi use dif rulesets. it may be more proggraming in the short term, but will make their lives easier in the long run.
  18. How would you like us to actually kill mobs in the game? It's clear you don't want us to use any of the weapons you provided... Pistols: from 300 dmg to 90 ... just as long to reload. Fire arrows, Nerfed All melee weapons less damage, but just as slow as before. I know, i'll use my tames! ... oh wait... you nerfed those too! So how exactly would you like me to kill the lvl 211 Alpha giant snake that suddenly appeared on a lawless island that never had alphas before Hmmm? Harsh language? Should we pretend we're the U.N. and draft a sternly worded resolution against them? So you tell us how combat is supposed to work, because all the options you gave us don't seem to.
  19. are they the only ones with bleed?
  20. Realistic and fun do not always go hand in hand. I had put some points into fort and it seemed to make little dif, granted, it wasn't 26. If i put 26 points into fort i'd have no weight limit to carry any weapons and no hp to survive if i did lol Off hand, i've been having decent success with the mace power attack, IF i see them coming. The first hit lands right as they get to me and the second usually kills it, barring any normal melee shenanigans. Usually only get hit once, maybe twice before it's dead.
  21. Curious about this as well. You can barely jump in to get flotsam without getting attacked, i can't imagine trying to get to the bottom.
  22. They should give it to the Beastie Boys, they've been known to let things.... MMmmmmm DROP!
  23. Wolf, bear, tiger and lion are really the ones i want to compare. Though i'm leaning towards bear if for no other reason then they can pull a carriage. Our poor shipwright can't afford to get the riding skill lol
  24. Thanks for the tips, had a feeling bears would rock, they are the only thing i've ever seen kill a giant snake. Problem is there's no honey on any of the islands i've been to yet. lol As far as the saddles go, you need to use the tier saddle that matches the creatures tier. T1 saddle on T1 mount T2 saddle on T2 mount T3 saddle on T3 mount
