  1. Ofc its our choice to put those cannons etc. on the ship. But man, we are playing PvP, what do you expect, you can't do shipfights without speccing right and without cannons ofc my opinions come from a PvP perspective. Maxspeed is ok for me if speed sails work. Average speed + speed with no wind/against the wind is the problem.
  2. I meant NPCs on ships for instance prioritise gold and food on ship. If you don't have anything on the ship they will take it from the flag.
  3. Ye, ofc you can. Im just saying these circumstances are very specific = full wind, 30% loaded ship (which means you don't transport resources, you don't have cannons and ammo etc. and you got best wind conditions). Why you can't go 19 knots with a pvp ship? Because its a war ship which means cannons, ammo, resources for repairs, more crew and less weight stat distribution (you invest points in damage/resistance/crew, weight is the last stat you care about). That basically means war ships have much more percentage of weight than your PvE galleon. I tell it again, don't use your TOP speed under ideal circumstances with unloaded PvE ship as a reference. You don't have nor full wind neither unloaded ship all the time. It would be the same if I took no wind conditions with like half loaded ship and tell you "hey look, speed is low, you see those 5 knots?".
  4. You can't have a pvp ship with 19 knots buddy 19 knots is speed while going in direction of FULL strenght wind with unloaded ship. Don't use max speed with unlpaded ship under circumstances which are here like 1/10 of a time as a reference. Use average wind speed with average loaded ship as reference.
  5. They prioritise ship chests for now.
  6. Maybe they could introduce some kind of torrents which would lead all across the map (multiple torrents from left to right, bottom to top etc.) and either give ships a significant speed bonus or have its own speed (like 15 knots) which you could use in case of a bad wind. If you would like to travel somewhere far you would find a proper torrent and sail into it. Maybe it would solve no wind/long distances travel problems.
  7. You need to play more than just 3-4 hours a day to plan trips and wait for the wind everyone knows what you mean but not a lot of people can afford it. For these casual people its not like "oh there is a bad wind, I'll wait for an hour or hour and half and then go", it's more like "hmm, maybe tomorrow if the wind will be better".
  8. Ye because with the old system there was no decline ... I stopped playing because I got bored of a slow sailing, it simply takes forever to get somewhere to PvP. Thats my personal reason. Not because of claim system There are many reasons why people quit playing but claim system really isn't the problem.
  9. Actually most people want faster sailing, look at the poll
  10. If you can´t acquire it as an asocial solo player that does not mean only Megas can acquire that
  11. It is definitely true, we tested it with all types of weapons Edit: To the topic. It´s ok if cannon bears outrange swivels/puckels. It´s broken they outrange NPC cannons/ballistas.
  12. This is a problem about NPCs not registering enemies on full range of a weapon they are using, not about cannon bears. Ballistas, cannons on a higher ground, catapults, mortars etc. all of these outrange cannon bear if operated by player. NPCs are a problem.
  13. As I wrote previously in this topic, we were fighting together with 3 another companies (all in top 10) between each other. We stopped because it was too time consuming to reach each other (and its only 4-5 grids). Then we started to fight smaller tribes around us which we didn´t even want in the first place. We just wanted to do some PvP. Just because it was way less time consuming to get there and we could spent time in ship fights / raiding instead of sailing. All I know is we would like to fight another big tribes but with this distance its pretty much impossible (people are bored of sailing 2 hours there, fight for an hour and sail 2 hours back). This is why I would like devs to increase it. We all got our reasons.
  14. Im trying man but he is a bit aggressive
  15. Man, Im a 35 years old gamer, don´t tell me what I want I accept your opinion, you don´t want to increase sail speed. Accept mine and don´t force me your thoughts about WHY i want that
  16. Thank you for telling me what I want man, I really appreciate it. I´ve written like 5 times what bothers me and why is such a long sailing bad for PvP. If you don´t get it by now I won´t bother to explain it to you again, you simply have PvE mind and no PvP experience so you don´t know what I am talking about "If you didn't care about winning or losing.. why are you demanding more speed, why does it matter if you get there faster to lose? Your argument makes no sense" This is the most brutal example of PvE mind which isn´t able to comprehend someone likes fighting no matter if he loses his ship or sink other ships. Problem is for this player if he has to sail for hours TO GET TO FIGHT first and then hours back to base. Its so funny when PvE player starts talking about PvP Gosh, this is such a waste of time. Poll is pretty selfexplanatory.
  17. No, I just don't want to spend another hundreds of hours of rebuilding a base and harbor somewhere else and keep double the amount of NPCs just to have a chance to fight as I've already done that I don't care winning or losing, I care just about chances to actually fight without spending hours and hours travelling somewhere. Actually you will realise that if you ever get in position as we are rn Btw look at poll, you still talk about me wanting to change the game. 83% of those who voted wants to increase sailing speed too
  18. I don't want to spread, I want to fight. Its pointless conversation m8. You keep your opinion, I will keep mine.
  19. You can't do this to at least half competent opponent he will always stop you from claiming an island close to them (and ye, he will deny you FOB at lawless), making FOB etc. And ofc because of logistics you will have an insane disadvantage. Ye, because again logistics = insane amount of time, your opponent goes half a sector for refuel while you ...
  20. So the answer is to cultivate our opponents around us and farm them once upon a time, hmmm, interesting. Because so many companies wants to live close to stronger enemy ... according to you its fine to play on 3x3 within 15x15 map. Ok, I take it as your opinion. I won't argue with you anymore. Btw big companies are usually at least 4 sectors from each other. If they want to fight each other instead of bullying small tribes how to do that with this speed? Its simple, small speed = you look for a targets which are close to you = strongest company wipes smaller tribes because it takes forever to sail to worthy opponent. Small companies are pissed because they fight opponents well above their level, big companies are pissed and bored because they can't find proper opponent. Result = people leaving the game. Just my opinion
  21. Why are you so aggressive man? Stop talking about 10 knots minimum speed suggestion, it was just an idea. This topic is about increasing sail speed in general. Ways how to do that is smt different. Im not developer, Im just trying to figure out what people want. Thats why forums are here. Do you understand that PvE players and PvP players have totally different expectation from this game? Do you understand that PvP players want to spend most time fighting instead of sailing, not the other way around? I get this tempo is good for your PvE activities, but its not healthy for PvP. Once you want to fight 3-4 sectors away its basically impossible within normal amount of time. Because in the contrary to PvE you actually cannot leave your ship somewhere and get home next day on a PvP server. You have to get back home the same session otherwise your ship will be probably destroyed. Try to see it from this perspective. And look at OP, I clearly stated its my subjective opinion. And if you look at poll you will figure out Im definitely not the only one who wants to speed up sailing. Quite the opposite.
  22. Ofc it was meant with normal weight ships and it would need to be additionaly reduced by weight but this topic is about increasing sailing speed in general, not about specific idea which came up in this topic.
