  1. Try checking this program out: I use this on my 5x5 and it has been absolutely amazing, i do not have to do anything other than turn it on. The program also handles updates, etc automatically.
  2. I ran them on a single machine for a day then wiped them and spread them across the other 4 nodes.
  3. I currently run a 5x5 map on 4 dedicated machines. The map shows perfectly fine in the "M" menu, all of my ports are open/forwarded, people can transfer between grids without a hitch, the only issue i am having is that whenever you go to collect a treasure bottle, it'll say you collected it but when you open your inventory, nothing is there. The only maps we get is from the current grid. I've tried re-exporting the map files, clearing the map cache, adding the slippery maps, hosting the map files, running the map files locally, changing seamless data ports for each server, and everything else i could think of. All of the servers are online so i don't understand what could be causing the issue. The servers are communicating with redis or else we would not be able to travel between servers as well. Any ideas/help would be great.
  4. I don't think the processors will be your bottleneck, i'd worry more about the ram in the system than anything. I have a c6220 with 8x xeon 2670 v2's (2.5ghz, 3ghz turbo) with 384gb of ram. The way i have mine set up is in 4 individual nodes. each node has 2x processors and 96gb of ram dedicated to it. I run a 5x5 across those 4 machines and i'm only using 9% cpu but i'm hitting 20% ram usage on 6 shards(per node). So judging from my experience, if you're looking for something that can host bigger than 3x3 then i'd look for more ram.
  5. We need some type of thatch gathering animal. With the amount of thatch that is required, the best thing to gather with is currently a pick.
  6. PlayPortRoyal.com 5x5 PVP 8XALL+Quests+Shop [Dedicated Server] Port Royal is OWNED in-house and hosted on a c6220 blade server with 8 processors and nearly 400GB of ram to ensure the highest quality gameplay available. This means that we do not have any worries about the future of the server. As long as we have a player base, we will host it. We also have our own custom mod made specifically for Port Royal that allows us to modify the gameplay as we see fit. This allows us to give users features that are otherwise unseen on other servers. We welcome all players that are looking for a complete experience. Although we do have a shop/points system, Port Royal is NOT a play to win server. In fact, everything that can be purchased in the shop can also be purchased by utilizing our discord chat. You can play games, help others and simply be active within the community and use those points towards buying in-game items such as treasure boxes, shop points, VIP packages and so on. We do not have ANY PVE zones nor do we plan on having ORP. This is a PVP server - if you're unable to handle that - please do not play. We do have a rule-set that we expect each player to abide by and WILL enforce those rules accordingly to grant all players a solid experience. Admin command logging is turned on at all times, however, the admin does not play on the server. In fact, there will never be any admins that play on the server. Rates: 8x ALL Map: 100% custom, with all Power Stone islands, The Kraken, Ghost Ship, NPC trade ships and correct settings to emulate Official gameplay (minus the rates). Website: https://www.PlayPortRoyal.com Shop: https://shop.PlayPortRoyal.com Discord: https://discord.gg/56Ck5SM *Note* When you join the discord, you must click the "Welcome" channel, read the rules and then type "agree" in the welcome channel to see all of the other channels. Once you join the discord, click "server info" to get all of the connection info for the server. *Another Note*: This server is brand new and still may have some growing pains to go through, please be aware that we are on top of every issue that may arise and will fix any issues as soon as they come to be known.
  7. I am currently hosting a 5x5 on a server (4 blades, so...4 separate machines technically). The way this is possible depends on your configuration. For instance, on my server, i have node 1 hosting redis, the other 3 servers connect to redis via the internal IP. The main things to make sure you have in order are ports....that is the bread and butter of hosting atlas. Make sure you make a spreadsheet and map out what you plan to use. Each "shard" has to have the same servergrid files. If you are not running the grid locally then you'll need to connect to redis via public IP.
  8. These chips can turbo to 3.30 GHz, have 10 cores and 20 threads each....there's 8 of them in this box.
  9. I am getting ready to put together a dedicated server with the following hardware: Processor: 8x Intel Xeon E5-2670 V2 2.5GHz 10 Core 25MB Cache Processors Memory: 384GB DDR3 ECC Registered Memory (6 x 16GB) Hard Drives: 8x 300GB 10K SAS 2.5 Hard Drives What type of grid size do you think I can manage with this? Looking to get 25-50 players per grid.
  10. Play pvp and you'll be able to kill the griefers.
