Hey sup D? Yeah I chose this route as a way to make more longevity of fun for me. Mind you I am a mindless grinder so beating on rocks for hours is something I consider to be fun especially when I am talking to my buddies. So the reason I am choosing to do it this way it by the time I get all discovery points a decent amount of time would have already passed and then “hey, I haven’t even experienced anything else in the game yet really”. That is when I can finally start getting a huge base going and REALLY get into taming(remember, I am one of the guys on here that actually loves tames). I even play beast master for my character on borderlands 3 and always have a greater saber cruising with me on Conan. by the time the base is done and the tames are tames and bred, then it will be time for preparing for end game stud and then completing all of that. Once I get the submarine I plan on doing a lot of underwater exploring throughout the world as well. who knows I might be wrong but I think by doing things this way it will make it to where it not only takes a good while before I complete everything but also a good long while before I get board. i definitely don’t want to short cut because I have learned from you guys that the game can get boring if you do take shortcuts and rush the lack of content there is. but thank you for the input. All info is helpful. quick question, since you said at least 3 climbing picks, what would you guess be on how many mountains/length or height can you climb before a full durability climbing pick breaks? EDIT: lmao almost forgot, I was also a hunter on wow so my tames have been with me long before ark

Hello at liatni. Yeah the opposite is pretty much going to happen unfortunately. Having that big of a head start in PvP with already having knowledge of the game is a permanent and continuous advantage and the gap will never close. part of pvp is being able to crush your enemies so they can’t do the same to you. If someone is already level 60-70 who knows maybe higher and the others are level 1. It will be easy to continuously wipe the lower level players. Every time a wipe like this occurs it increases the gap that we are talking about because the lower level people go back to the beginning every time while the higher level players continue to progress. and I not here to argue with you because even pve would be a bad idea as far as this goes, I just wanted to let you know how the pvp route would go as well. so yeah, the gap will continue to grow and nothing can stop it. Not events(which will definitely further the gap every time one happens). I have a feeling on launch day there will be EU PvP which will be full and NA PvP which will be empty. That is a pretty safe assumption

So who has the highest level? who already has galleons? who has a big base with strong defenses? and so forth?

Yeah, offline raiding has always been a huge problem with these types of games. Kind of sucks because it takes all of the pvp away. That is why we are opting for pve this time. I want to wake up on the morning and know my stuff will still be there

Good news. It seems as though even with the wipe and only one cluster, numbers are actually higher than before the wipe with less clusters. so there is some positivity to this. As it stands so far there have been two wipes and both times were the times we saw and increase. Since xbox players haven’t joined yet I actually see a lot more people coming back when they do arrive. this could be a sign of good things to come.

Sorry man, I know you said a lot. I still wouldn’t do NA though. Not after this. But yes, I figured you wouldn’t see it as an attack but I always make sure to say it just in case.

Yeah, always go for steam charts. Trackers was doing good for awhile but it has been messing up for awhile unfortunately. I started noticing it when I clicked on certain servers to see the players on each grid. Wasn’t right. for the hell of it I would get on if I could just for stress testing. i would invite the pve guys to go on na pvp with god mode so they don’t have to worry just so we could stress test this

I know people say I don’t know anything but I was actually just as excited about atlas as the pc guys were. I was watching multiple twitch streamers, following twitter, forums Reddit. Even though I didn’t personally experience what what was going on I definitely saw what was going on. This was not a rant on you by the way, just against the dismissive manner of some. I have eyes therefore I see lol. but yeah, I feel for you guys. I was watching with my own eyes especially the sea of bodies lol. That was probably the worst. People begging others to kill them. luckily I would hope with pve it would be different. Like “hey let’s all agree to go to this island company up and sail the hell out of here and then part ways once we get out of here” lol pvp will not go that way

Talked to a few of my buddies and them not wiping na pvp(where we live) is turning them off the game. That is also why my buddy and I are going pve. We just got a third that was cool with it so that will make the schooner a lot easier. bottom line though is if they wanted the old Megas of Xbox to come here it was definitely not a good choice or smart move.

The new islands and basically the mega update. They better give some incentive if they want to stress test the server like very high rates. Otherwise a stress test would be pointless

Yeah you would believe how many words get used way too much and also out of context these days. Side note: trying to rush and finish what I call the parking lot at my pyramid. Basically we had build a huge outer wall around our pyramid(60x60) so the wall is somewhere around 100x100, we are filling it all in and putting down somewhere around 35 taming pens for gold/silver rocknose. Basically a gold and silver farm but it is a lot of mats. After that we need to finish the Taj Mahal before atlas starts so we are busting out Butts right now.

Yeah it seems like video games bring out the worse in human nature. Maybe because it is just pixels we are destroying and letting off steam instead of real life? I guess so but it might be deeper than that. all I know is I start wishing bad things on people when I play clash royale. That game really brings out some hate in people smh
