  1. As a solo player I also have these moments where I have to think why I should even log on. When you've done the most things (building base and ships, taming) it's hard to justify another reason for yourself to spend your time in-game. I still get a lot of satisfaction when I actually have a goal like building something and completing it. But after having build a way too big of a base for my solo needs, build 2 rafts, 3 sloops, 3 schooners and a brig, tamed 3 bears, 2 wolves, pigs and cows...there isn't much else to accomplish atm. In contrast to most opinions, I actually enjoyed the fountain of youth quest. Apart from sailing to an island and finding out the fountain was already gone, it was great to have a clear mission I had to complete and knowing I could do this as a solo player. The farming of resources gets old quick, and I'm not enjoying that for a minute anymore. But the sailing with aforementioned ships I still enjoy a lot wherever I need to go too. That is the main reason I bought this game. It would be nice to have some simple missions which consists of traveling to a certain grid/island and possibly complete a certain task which is also doable for a solo player. PS: I'm settled on a lawless island (PVE) which is great as a 'world without claims' environment. No hostality and great solo players and small companies in my surroundings with who I trade once in a while when either of us is in need for something. Also the temperate environment with at most a wolf here and there as your greatest hazard creates a very pleasant world to live in. But it still is a world without much incentives to do anything anymore.
  2. I'll gamble on D12 now, if it follows power stone index it will be there. At least it's full wind from the C6 area.
  3. pff, I am 1 grid away from it. I travelled 8 grids...avoiding 20+ SOTD's while still trying to be as fast as possible on my schooner with large and small speed sail. Apparently not fast enough! This is getting tedious.
  4. Thanks for that extra bit of information. I didn't know this was a thing. Doesn't get my hopes up if they will ever fix this though.
  5. I had this happen many times. Just never create a new pathfinder if you get to that screen. Close the game and try reconnecting again. Eventually it will spawn you with the correct character. Sometimes I had to do this 10+ times. But it's better then to start over again.
  6. Because the thatch floors and wooden walls seem to load / render in slower than the animals, my livestock keeps spawning outside their enclosures. Like this: Almost everytime I start the game, I have to play a little minigame...find the cows and pigs and bring them back. Because they are all around my base instead of in their enclosures. It's a bit tiresome to keep animals this way. This somehow doesn't seem to happen to my bears and wolves, which are surrounded by stone walls but also on thatch floors. Although they love to peek outside through the doors. Edit: the floors are mainly build on shallow water, if that matters.
  7. My solo build fleet of ships. Just admiring them at night, after the last ship was completed, in the lights of the beautiful full moon. Pics don't do the in game experience justice imo.
  8. First of all I want to say that I never had any (hardware)problems and / or crashes with this game thus far. But today after disabling tutorial hints, for the first time, my game crashed. Since then it is stuck in the "PrimalGameData_BP" loading screen.
  9. I have been solo playing since launch. Endless grinding to build something up on a leftover rock that nobody wanted. I had 2 rafts, 2 Sloops, a Schooner and a little dinghy. Besides that also a big house full stocked with 1000's of items / resources. Today I logged out for 4 hours and after I logged in again I was dead and had no more beds to spawn on. On the map I saw all my flags taken, except for 1 in the sea in front of the rock. So everything I worked for all those days, lost in a couple of hours of being offline. This shouldn't be possible to happen on a PVE, in such a short period of time. I couldn't even be bothered to go back there from freeport to check what's left / happened. Just closed the game and I'll set it aside for a while. Maybe check back after a couple of weeks or months to see what it's current state is. At the moment it's undoable and above all completely unfair for solo players to have any (long lasting) fun with it.
  10. The message says it all. To play on official servers you have to use the steam account that owns the game. You can't play with a shared game from another account (as in account sharing).
  11. You have to load the serverconfig (json) into the ServerGridEditor. There you can Export / create the images needed
  12. It says pre-order probably just because they are pretty busy atm with the orders and don't want to get any hopes up. I ordered mine a hour after the game was available. Within another hour I had my own server + expansion server from them. It must have been before the mass orders because I read that some are waiting hours or almost a day to get theirs installed. I hope the dedicated server files are going to be released very soon so I can run it locally or on my own server(s), it's a lot cheaper.
