  1. I've actually wanted a 2 wall high gate and so have many others. You claim they are giving what they want and not what the community wants, but you don't know what the community overall wants.
  2. You will download a beta branch patch, which yes will mean you will be unable to connect to the other existing servers for the duration of having the beta branch active. Those currently playing on NA PvP, NA PvE and EU PvP will have to chose to either help test out PTR or stick to playing on a server that will end up being wiped a week later anyway. It shouldn't feel strange knowing that all servers including PTR will be wiped basically 1 week -/+ after PTR.
  3. Yup that's the whole point of it, it's a Public Test Realm.
  4. It is Steam having problems not Atlas. This will be affecting ALL games on Steam. Also I doubt you are the only person playing on NA PVP. You want a rollback when the entire official network is going to be wiped in possibly a week?
  5. No, Steam is having issues. https://downdetector.com/status/steam I can't even log on to Steam let alone any games.
  6. When someone comes along and claims an island with already built structures on it then they won't become his structures, because anyone is allowed to build on claimed land. The Captain's Logs have said it is 12 hours from placement of structure, so if the structure has been placed for 12 hours before someone claims the land then they can't destroy the structure.
  7. So how do you currently destroy structures in PvE? Pinwheel right? |That's the only method right? That isn't changing. Now, it says after the 12 hours it will have to be destroyed manually right? So if manually means something other than weapons in PvP, then why would they say this "extend the time beyond 12 hours as players will not have the option to destroy via PVP". Also, are you honestly believing that a settlement owner will be able to destroy any structure on their land at any given time for the existence of the game, therefore meaning no structure is ever safe in PvE? Because your inability to see what is written there is suggesting that's what you believe.
  8. Claim owners will be able to demolish structures (via the pinwheel) on their settlements temporarily as long as the structure has been placed within the last 12 hours. After the 12 hour period has passed, they will not be able to demolish the structures using the pinwheel, and must manually destroy it. Claim owners can do this outside of raid hours or warlike. This exists as an anti-griefing mechanism. On PvE servers, we may extend the time beyond 12 hours as players will not have the option to destroy via PVP. I don't understand how you can claim they don't mention PvP or PvE anywhere in relation to what's being destroyed. Read it properly, piece by piece. I highlighted the important bits. Lets dissect it to make it clearer. This is pretty clear, structures can be demolished via the pinwheel within 12 hours of placement. This states they can't use the pinwheel to demolish and will have to manually destroy. Note the use of the words there, demolish and destroy. Whenever you use the pinwheel to get rid of a structure it always says demolish. Destroy means via the use of weapons. Also, if you can't use weapons on PvE to destroy a structure how do you understand that someone can manually destroy a structure WITHOUT using the pinwheel? That's right, you can't. Self-explanatory, strictly for PvP. This means on PvE they can't destroy structures, i.e. use weapons. Therefore, as a result of that, and the fact that after the 12 hour period you can't use the pinwheel to demolish, they may extend the 12 hour window. Now i'll ask you again, if the initial 12 hours allows a settlement owner to use the pinwheel to demolish structures, but not after the 12 hours, how do you understand that settlement owners will be able to get rid of structures after the 12 hour window WITHOUT the use of pinwheel?
  9. Are you that naive to think that the devs are introducing a mechanic in PvE that allows a settlement owner to demolish other players structures at any time during the existence of the game? Therefore meaning you could build a base on someone's land and 12 months later that settlement owner can demolish it? No of course not. The WHOLE reason the devs state "On PvE servers, we may extend the time beyond 12 hours as players will not have the option to destroy via PVP." is BECAUSE they can't just randomly go up to a structure and destroy it after the 12 hour timeframe. On PvP after 12 hours the settlement owner can destroy it using weapons, on PvE they can't, hence the reason to extend the timeframe wider. Any structures left standing after the intial 12 hour window from when it was placed can only be destroyed by the structure owner or by the structure decay if the owner quits, or by wild animals if they are able to.
  10. People claiming that are making things up in their head. Of course there will still be a distance between players structures. On PvE right now they changed it so you can build on anyone's land as it will be in the v1.5 of Atlas, and that has a distance between structure placements just like ARK, just like Atlas on Lawless. Anyone claiming placing foundations won't block other people's foundation are just spreading silly rumours because they haven't bothered to pay attention to what has been said by the devs. Yes it is, but what does that have to do with what we were talking about? The landlord will still only be able to destroy those structures within the 12 hour or so timeframe. But we know what they can and cannot do. They can destroy structures only within the 12 hour or so timeframe, after that they can't destroy the structure, because it is PvE. They can set a tax for the land. That is it, they can't do any more than that. Yes you can claim that is an assumption, but all you lot complaining about being kicked off the land is not true, not directly anyway. The devs have already told us what the landlords can do on PvE.
  11. We know what landlords can do. They can destroy structures only inside a 12 hour window (maybe longer) from the moment they are placed on the claimed land. They can also set a tax rate for the claimed land. That's it.
  12. They don't need to come out and say that this wipe wasn't intended or planned. Every player knows why this wipe is coming and it is something that was not foreseen. If you can't see that yourself then i'm sorry, but you need to open your eyes rather than expect things on a silver platter.
  13. Why are people obsessed with landlords being able to kick people on PvE, they can't kick you. It's so simple, the only thing landlords can do if they really want someone off their land is to sit there 24/7 and destroy anything they build. Even that is still not kicking people from the land. Most landlords are going to want to play properly. So lets stop this obsession of being kicked when landlords can't kick you.
  14. You do realise this up coming wipe was never expected, it was not intended. How can they give concrete answers on a wipe schedule? The most concrete they would be able to give is wipes will happen if they are required. I suspect their intention is never to actually wipe, but if necessary it will be done. So what type of concrete answer are you expecting?
  15. My expectation for the up coming activity: Wed 3rd April - PTR goes live, but late in the day, i.e. not before 12pm PST, in fact later, making it around 00:00-01:00am 4th April UK time (it will be GMT+1 by then). PTR will run for a week taking us up to Wed 10th April. Wipe and mega update will take place on Friday 12th April, again very late in the day, putting UK and EU around 01:00/02:00am Saturday 13th April which means those getting a decent night sleep miss out. That's my expectation for now.
  16. Week of 8th April everything will be online including PvE. How are you confused? Why do you assume it is a mountain? To me it looks like a cliff edge, which likely means land up top. It is also next to a building, so probably tamed. But to assume it is a mountain is a bit odd.
  17. Majority of them are likely playing on unofficial servers though, there isn't necessarily a need for a wipe on those. I'd be surprised if many didn't wipe, but there's no actual need apparently, it's optional. I was still playing on EU PvE, but my hand got forced on that one so can't play now until PTR/Wipe.
  18. I hope there's not too much of a future focus on new animals, just keep them to the necessary. Also please sort out spawn mechanics, I find it rather silly allowing bears to spawn in tropical but you can't breed them in tropical. How can they spawn if they can't breed?
  19. EU PvE was wiped though, as they are up and running right now with a new patch version, so yeah they technically were wiped ready for PTR. So yes PvE wipe has occurred.
  20. That only works if the joke is actually told on 1st April, not before. Here's a fail gif for you...
  21. Well done, nice! Better spend the treasure before wipe, spend it wisely!
  22. If the forum staff feel there is no problem, then that should be accepted by the community. This public humiliation of challenging BUBBALOOEY and his claims needs to stop. You need to grow up and move on from such a miniscual issue.
  23. As long as the delay of taking EU PvE down doesn't result in the delay of PTR then it doesn't really matter if EU PvE is not down yet.
