    Tried coming back to single player and it wasnt working right, Decided let me just make a new game. Kind of annoying but used to it here. But when I make a new character there is no map, and there are no islands. I just appear floating in the ocean. I did a quick google search and saw that it has happened before to other people in the past. I tried the solutions they said, but I must not be following the suggestions correctly or something. I have tried reinstalling. Making a new character, deleting stuff from the saved folder, and turning off cloud sync or whatever that is in steam. Would someone be able to walk me through what to do to get the islands back into my game. Thank you.

    Just wanna add one more thing, showing why those new ships way worse that old ones in terms of naval combats. I'm not saying anything about shotgun kiting tactics. Just old fashion board-side fight witch all new ships are (theoretically) made for. So... in all those fights most of damage lands to nose and middle part of the ship. And if I play Brig my nose contains several parts and all damage spread there. Even if I wont build anything extra it's gonna be: 4 planks x 6000 hp. 1 deck x 40000 hp. 4 ceilings x 5000 hp. 1 sail x 15000 hp. 24000+40000+20000+15000=99000 hp. And all cursed cannonballs evenly distributed over all those parts. And of course I can increase this 99000 to more than 200000 using better bps. Now what do we have on new modular ship??? 1 front castle x 15000. ... That's it. Ok, I can add there a sail. In Ramming Galley front castle too high, but in Majestic Kraken it might gonna work. So let's add there... 1 sail x 15000 hp. 15000+15000 = 30000. With best sail It can be increased to 45000. So the situation as is. 99000hp is just more than 3 times better than 30000. And 200000hp is just almost 4.5 times better than 45000.

    On behalf of all Unofficial Nitrado Crossplay servers, the game is unplayable at this stage. Some of us have found fixes for the exporting of the images from the new SGE but once installed players lose their in game maps once they log out. Players then need to go back to the A1 grid to try to get it working. Sometimes it works and other times it does not. When players don't have their in game map working the game crashes every time they open it. All the players who were currently enjoying their unofficial servers are becoming more and more frustrated. Please issue a fix in a timely manner to avoid more player loss and to alleviate the burden on unofficial server owners. At the very least let us know your aware of the problem and are working on a fix so those who have remained loyal to this game still have hope. Thank you kindly

    Do not get rid of them without replacing their use with something equal. Their use being the only remotely viable way to store things and feel that there is a decent chance it will still be there when you get home from work (mostly because they can be hard to find). Its bad enough I have to remake a new boat every time I log in. Over the weekend I cant even logout for lunch and come back to a floating boat. They are not invincible. 2 people hitting it with stock tools can take a door out in about 20 min. Don't sleep in this, it can easily take more than 20 min trying to do it in other ways. If you can see the structure from above the water, you can definitely hit it with cannon bears and/or grenades. The trick is you cant see the graphic of the cannon ball or grenade, so you have to play around until you see the green numbers. If its deeper than this, I do not know if the cannons and grenades stop working, or if the difficulty to aim just gets too much. Regardless, switch to the costly explosive barrels. There is a YouTube video showing how to do it. Overall, if structures were better these wouldn't bee needed. However I would expand upon them rather than remove them. Undersea terrain is a largely untapped real estate. Id like to see more resources down there, more viable ways to build down there. The submarine should be much more accessible to the average player. I think it would be neat to have a 2nd race that lives normally underwater and has a breath timer above. They could have a submarine comp that flies through the air, we'll call it.....an air ship! For real, it should take much more work to break into something than it does to build it. Especially compared to how easy it is to do so currently. There's a reason castles were built out of stone and had to be taken by siege.
