Enki Anunnaki 240 Posted March 13, 2019 (edited) I would like to start a Dueling/fighting network on NA PVP. With the new changes and wipe planned where you can build on anyone's island, i think a dueling group/network would actually work as player towns with trading networks will actually be a thing. This would also bring a healthy amount of people to your island and they might be more willing to buy stuff from your vendors. So, if you're interested in helping me make this happen or you and your group are planning on grabbing an island day one of the wipe and would like to plan ahead what your town layout is going to look like, feel free to talk about it on this thread and hit me up on discord. Enki#8934 ::What it means to be in the Fight Club:: I intend to build a gladiator pits/arena on every well populated island that wants to join the network, so you'll need to put aside a suitably located large plot for the build hopefully the center of your town. Large groups get first dibs for the builds. It will be unlocked and open to the public and everyone can use it, unless an event is going on. it will look fancy AF and will be built like a stadium with available seating all around the fight pits for onlookers to watch the fights. Every island with an arena built, the landlord can put their name in the hat if they want their island to host the next big fight or tournament. Betting against your opponent or just as a watcher can be an option and we can work out a method. Winners of the fight will get a percentage. there will be a dedicated discord for events, to set up fights and place bets live. So what do you think? You want in? What are your thoughts to make this awesome? Do you want to be the next joe rogan? I'd like someone to record and do commentary. Perhaps upload fights to youtube and twitch. Im gonna work on a meta for the arena that i will build on each island. I will post pictures and sizes for y'all that want to plan out your town. Enjoy Just like the gladiator pits of Rome, the arena has an undercroft where gladiators can get ready and wait for their turn to fight. Also for storing tames for potential battle scenarios. About 70 available seating. It takes up 14x12 foundation squares. +24 for the front patio. Would also make an awesome town meeting area.Would look great in stone. SIEGEGUN 57 Posted March 17, 2019 Just saw your response, yeah that's perfect. Just wanted to bring it up because I see that as actually one of the biggest things coming up. I will start thinking on this now and shoot you any ideas I come up with. Feel free to post more in your actual thread in regards to organization ideas, what you think you need, positions, etc. I think the purse money should be greater than what you said in the other thread. Make it profitable for the winners, definitely give a percentage to any hosting companies, and yes the guild should make some as well. The new system will impact this idea a bit but I think a lot canbe planned out roughly now. Are you thinking starting with one hosted arena and then growing larger? Or a small network of arenas? I believe that's the percentages of the betting pool that should be taken out for operation costs because that's what irl betting institutions take out (20%). Any more and it wouldn't be worth it to bet. Reward wouldn't be worthy of the risk. gotta let the islands grow and see which ones have a supporting population of companies. I think the best place to start the guild would be on a mega's island that already plans on having lots of companies on their island. Will bring in mass amounts of traffic and make them a trade hub, in return they would provide excellent security from opportunistic money hungry pirates as well. once we get established, we expand and build arena complexes across the map where portions (multi grid pocket zones) of the map can have qualifier matches for tournaments and have duels for fun and get ready for the events. perhaps have an arena on all top 10 mega company islands. would need cooperation with the mega leadership. Oh I see how you are dividing it up, I thought you were dividing it up differently, totally my bad. Yes that all makes sense. That sounds reasonable and I think you are spot on there. Yes that sounds like an excellent plan. It would definitely be the best place to set up and get traction. The megas have a lot of peeps so it is the logical place to start. I suppose the next step is finding an interested mega. And figuring out the details as you said in the other thread, i.e. who holds the purse, is there a way for tips, etc etc. This is a cool idea.
