Where is the pirate content in PvE?

So I played since day one, only PvE, and I start to wonder when will we see real pirate content? 

Most time goes to gathering, crafting and buildung. Then you tame and breed to improve you gathering and craft faster.

Then came a little pirate stuff. Took the first ship and went for a sail. Did some treasure maps, sunk low level Damnships...

Now what?

We need for PvE

• Merchantships in different sizes to hunt and enter. Some with escort.

• Navy that hunts us on navy controlled grids.

• NPC villages and harbours to raid.

• Make it possible to to sell goods to NPCs on Freeports. Let there be diffrent needs of goods, so trading routes are needed

• Let us settle in lawless regions ( need more then now) Give structure a decay so it needs daily upkeep. Implement a building called workshop (autorepair), maybe in three sizes. A small made with thatch, a medium wood and a large with stone. Let them have a radius depending on their size. To make them work let us need to put a npc there and give  him gold. And give it a storge for the mats needed for upkeep. Every Player can only build one small and one medium or large workshop. In companys they can build more depending on member numbers but with a max cap.

• Let every Player build only one harbour workshop (needs shoreline) for upkeep their shipyards, medium radius. Only four per company as a max cap. 

• Implement npc cottages with workers for wood gathering or fishing. Take a look at the settlers games for ideas or at Anno. Thats how you should populate a pirate world. Let citys grow. Implement a economy for the citys.

• More shiptypes and sizes! Give us hulls that fit better for merchant freighters and whalehunters.

We all have that idea how a pirates world looks like, an Atlas is still miles away from that.

You know that is not true, and pvp is more about siege then naval warefare. PvP is not an option to fix PvE.

it's pretty simple if u wanna fight naval/land or whatever you need to play pvp server.

PvE doesn't need a fix

What sense does ships with canons make without targets? Its not only warefare. Imo it is not enough content to make players stay for longer.

PvE doesnt need a fix? Your a dev? Or a fanboy. Thats BS! Its far from being ready for release

Right, you mean those pvp server with those dupers ? Or with those people that like to raid you at night ? That like to sink your ships when you're offline ? Yeah according to all the posts on the forum, it's sounds really fun.

It's a fucking pirate game..... sandbox... players create the content... which results in pvp..

pve is for those who just want to build their city and sail around etc

They add offline protection.

Well noone said PvP is something for cryer if they lose a ship. you could have prevent this with good defense in your harbour anyway

thats how it is now, and i suggest to go further. If you dont like the idea, fine. But PvP is not an option and ist broken too, anyway.

Bullcrap PvP has  nothing with naval warfare. It is just same as ark with worse weapons. Only thing is you have to sail to a island. But after 1ship is there they do a beam me up Scotty and ark crap happens.

Also why tames like the ark crap.. they have npc you can hire. They can work and gather my crap to build. 

Only animals you need are horse, cow, chicken and pig. Horse can have a carriage to take the heavy guns to a fight.

They others you breed for food. 

The other wild animals can be around but for agro our to kill for food on a long sailing trip and put the meat in the bag.

Also update stupid sods to real sailing ships and make them royal navy that hunt your pirate ass. Sods are just ugly and stupid

i would continue to Dream to dev will make a Real PVE challenge for PVE server. 

 

to @Samstag Freitagsson maybe a better sentence no ? sorry english is not my first language, and i dont think google trad make be better

While your right, the PvE content in the game is extremely lacking atm, I would much rather they work on what they are working on right now. Getting the foundation of the game right before adding alot of stuff that can obscure wether the basics are working correctly.

yes, but that needs to include a working system for owning land on pve

it's a pvp game, u can dream as long as you want... no content for pve cryhards.. there is more important to fix in this game right now

funny that u guys already whine because a few people duped who got defwiped and "offlineraided". get a better defense or just sit in your house without the risk to lose anything and play with your balls since nothing u can do in this gae

This game absolutely need PVE content on both the PVP and PVE servers. This is a pirate game. We the pirates are supposed to be pirating. Last time I checked pirates primarily went after merchants and navy ships to loot things for their own. Currently the game is more focused around non stop PVP even though the PVP server is marked as PVPVE. They need to add a lot more PVE content. I 100% agree with the OP and have posted similar suggestions. We should have lots of PVE content to do in the game which keeps everyone occupied but PVP encounters happen in addition to that. Someone just sunk a super nice merchant ship and you happened to be sailing by. PvP encounter now happens because you are a pirate wanting to take their freshly gained booty. Battle commence, winner takes all. THAT is in my mind pirates. Not this BS non stop PVP expectation. This is Atlas NOT Ark.

It is also made for pve. To have a nice playerbase you need both. This content would help the pvp eyperience too.

The game description above does not say this is a only a pirate game. It is only one eighth. I play PVE and have enjoyed the pirate elements that have been included. It would be nice to see more but PVE let’s me explore and build and have combat on my terms. If you want more of a huge personal battle, try activating 8 treasure maps in the same location all at once. It’s makes the FOY look quite reasonable.

I knew they promised more then just piracy. But I didnt wanted to ask for everything at once 😂😉.

Especially the settlement and civ idea is great. But I cant see it working with the actual and upcoming claim system.

And again I am not mad because it is not here yet. But I ask for more, alot more content.

I believe this would bring back more people then a endcontend locked submarine.

The new changes sound fine for pve. They only seem to be overlooking one problem. About 2 days, less if you blitz it, after the server comes up every square inch of every island will be covered in foundations. Yes the notes say things need upkeep, but single foundations probably wont take much, and unless i missed it in my fast read through, no limit on how many upkeep buildings you can have,  if they even have a range at all.  Maybe one building is good for the entire island. I could have missed that in the notes if they talked about it.

Fix the spamming of foundations or no amount of land will be enough for everyone to build on. IMO.

thats why i suggest to limit the amount and range of autorepair and have a fair amount of mats to keep it runnin.

I also fear spamming of pilars pr foundations.

Thats extremely easy to fix tho, just put a massive extra tax on foundations or pillars that arent connected to atleast 8 other foundations.

Sure they could just put down groups of 9 foundations / pillars then, but then the total amount of structures to cover an entire island would go up, but ALOT, which again can be curbed by having the cost get exponentional more expensive the more seperate structures you have.

Even only doing the last part would fix the foundation spamming.

Despite how much you PVP fanboys want to shove PVP down our throats. This game is advertised as a PVE experience as well. You don't have to like it, or play it, but it's sheer ignorance for you to bash those of us that play an officially supported mode of play when even the devs have talked about making the pve side a more emersive experience.

The more both sides of this game improve the more players it attracts, the more both sides could improve.

All that being said, why does it bother you so much that someone may list some ideas for further content that you feel the need to attempt to hijack and trash the thread with your toxic attitude towards pve players views? Got troll your buddies on the PVP forums.
