Petition: reduce spawning and nerf the alphas!

Recommended Posts

Since these two topics come up multiple times per day and it seems like these are the only two things the players (at least in the forums) seem to agree on, let's start a petition!

1. Reduce spawn rates in general

To keep it simple, just do a single spawn rate multiplier reduction across the board for all animals, both on land and in the sea.  Please, for the love all that is pirate-y, save us!

2. Nerf the alphas!

Whatever is easiest: reduce the spawn rate or lower their level.  Please, anything at all!

Then, when you have the bandwidth (being that you're a small team), make the other adjustments to balance them.  This is SUCH a good game underneath all the quirks, and these two would go such a long way in making it a bit easier to enjoy!

If you agree, comment below and keep the post going until our prayers are answered! 🙂

I wouldnt mind if they were to reduce the spawn to like 1 alpha predator per day.... Or change it up in that If an animal is spawned then every animal it has killed and eaten it gains a level once it reaches pass lvl 70 then they gain the rank of an alpha status but they stop gaining level and then have a life span of 20 hrs and they die due to a Red blooded disease thus starts it over again.  Thus its best of both worlds.   So in other words its nerfed heavily in its term of power but also nerfed in its spawnablity to evolution... and to make it better when a wild animal reach alpha their fur coats changes to different color and start to glow with red eyes.   Limit Alphas to only the meat eaters.   not the herb.

Thus would be neat to see and have.... Would tie in survival of the fittest concept.   So killing wolves before they become alpha would be a thing rather then a straight up alpha spawn.

I’d rather have them nerf the spawns than reduce levels. We need to level up too you know. 😉

Rather than implementing an entirely new game mechanic (which will probably go very badly given the history of "fixes" so far) there are far more simple adjustments that can be made immediately without much effort at all...  such as capping Alpha levels to 30 like the other wild animals.  Another solution is to limit the areas that they can spawn in.  Also a general reduction of Alpha spawn rates would also help.  Could also reduce their aggro range so players at least have a chance to see them before they aggro.

I have nothing against something new, but in the meantime it would be nice if you and your army of high level bears to not die in just a few seconds for the offense of being too close to an Alpha spawn.
