  1. I am still having this issue after the latest update. In my case, however, I was dropped when my ship was transitioning from 013 to A13. I have been unable to log back in since then.
  2. Is there a way to deliberately roll back a private server to a previous time? My ship is in server "limbo" and no one can log in anymore (we were all on the same ship). I would like to go back to before this happened.
  3. This is happening on my private server also... I was crossing servers on my ship, got dropped, and cannot log back in. When I try to log in normally I get a "timed out" message. If I shut down the server I traveled to and keep open the server I traveled from I get the OP message. Is there some way to force kill myself when I log in so I can respawn in a Freeport instead of my lost zombie ship? My toon is in limbo!
  4. I now have this issue also. I cannot even log back in. Does anyone know of a way to force a death upon yourself at login so I can log into a Freeport instead of my stuck ship?
  5. I have found the solution to my own problem... over-eating.... ironically the damage caused by overeating causes you to empty your food bar to heal yourself. I just keep eating anyway even with a full food bar until vitamins are good again.
  6. In the donut-shaped map, the magnetic field would simply wrap around the donut in a manner where the field passes through the middle of the dount and then wraps around the outside and looping back into the middle again. The 'equatorial' zones would be on the outside edge closest to the sun where the 'polar' regions would be on the inside of the donut center. A spinning donut would account for day/night cycle. The only problematic part of the donut-shaped map is that all of the grids are exactly the same dimensions. If it were a true donut the polar zones would be narrower east-west than the equatorial zones since the circumference in the middle of the donut is smaller than the circumference of the outer part. North-south dimensions would be approximately the same.
  7. I should also add that I have found that when most people see pillar or foundation spam they just assume they cannot build there. I cant tell you how many times I have just checked the decay timers and found that I am able to demolish a lot of this spam. Look at everything, I can almost guarantee you that there are places you can demolish and set down. Also, just playing nice and talking to the locals you can often negotiate a place to live. Much of the pillar and foundation spam is defensive to prevent people from blocking critical resources and so on. Often times, once the locals know you are not just a random jack-hole that wants to just build a hideous structure to tame one thing or build one ship and move on leaving a mess, you can find a place to live. The lawless regions seem to have more of a community feel than the claimed lands (yes I am generalizing).
  8. I havent tried it but I think its this... bDontUseClaimFlags=0 in the game.ini file or in the "OverrideShooterGameModeDefaultGameIni": {} section of the .json file for the server you are changing.
  9. I am also interested in this! It would sure be nice if the devs would publish a listing of the server settings.
  10. I am at work at the moment so I cannot check for sure but I recall seeing something in the project editor to toggle between lawless and claimable. That is to say it is in the json file somewhere.
  11. I also hate the pillar/foundation spam on Lawless islands but it is a necessary evil... In my case, I have used them defensively so some asshat random company doesnt build fugly one-time-use structures a few feet from my front door, block off thoroughfares constrained by natural terrain, or block off critical resources. It is a case of eat or be eaten, kill or be killed, etc.
  12. I suspect some of your issues are related to your .json map server settings. A1) (my guess) The project export may not have completed or the image files of your map are not in the ServerSettings folder. A2) (my guess) I believe there is a setting to enable/disable if a server is claimable or not. It seems your server has this enabled. A3) No clue. A4) I think this is a known issue where you will only get maps for servers that are online at the time that you pick up the bottle. If the map was for a server that is not active, you will get nothing from the bottle.
  13. I have a previous gen system running a i7-4790K CPU, 16GB RAM (2400), Gforce 970 GPU, and an older 7200 RPM hard drive. I am able to run 5 servers (using the server tool created by ChromeSDK) and play on the same machine with the highest graphic settings with no issues. My bottlenecks are load times (due to my slow old HDD) which takes about 5-10 mins to start up and total RAM space. The CPU itself sits at 20% or less so that doesn't really seem to be the issue. I only play with one other person so more people may cause the CPU to work more. As others have mentioned before each server seems to consume about 3GB of RAM so @16GB I was at my limit (I upgraded to 32GB yesterday and I still sit @ about 16GB used). Just extrapolating... a full-time 5x5 grid would require 75GB or RAM to run smoothly. It may still work with less RAM but it will likely depend on where the active players are located. If all players are on the same server, it may run better than if spread across multiple servers which will probably tax your CPU much more.
  14. Ive had this happen to me in the past but in my case the bear was only partially in the ground. I was unable to ride the bear. I tried to grapple it our also but that did not work. Commanding it to move somewhere did not work either. We eventually freed the bear by commanding it to attack something nearby. In your case, it looks like the bear may be "stuck" on some of your structures also. You may need to destroy some of that stuff to be certain.
