But, yeah, you got a point, if they simply want to be a Money Grab, add tons of micro transactions in your game, that is the easiest way to money grab people in any game. IMO. Not sure about console. does ark have mtx? if so, what are they? i cant imagine paying 20 bucks for a fancy pirate hat that will just glitch / get stolen / rot after glitching off boat and drowning... They are allowed to but it is unethical to say the least. At this point there is not enough of a playerbase that micro’s would generate meaningful revenue. Whales don’t drop thousands into games when there are few players and the game has an uncertain future. Also once they release to Xbox, it’s entirely possible Microsoft would prohibit them from doing so because it just looks awful from an ethics perspective. Don’t know for sure, just speculating.
