  1. Tbh i'm not sure how much they update Blackwood now, so maybe the seed vendor was never added.
  2. Atlas is going down the pre fab route now anyway, no matter how many of us seem to object. As to the example of bob? even if I am in the same company , the permissions can stop me building near another company member, or adding to or destroying their base. The devs could find a workaround(optimistic I know) As for the griefing, yeh it will still be there as much as it is now. I wish it weren't , but sadly it is. By the way, is Bobs name Bob downe? or Bob Upp?
  3. No not at all, sea of thieves has no ship building, just customisation, also it has no pve. Also 1st person only. The building is non existant. The graphics are very cartoony. Although it is slightly more solo friendly. Sea of thieves also has quests. And the list would go on, but I can't be Assed.
  4. Factions or not though, griefing is a big part of any online survival and rpg game. And no one has found a really good solution for it yet unfortunately.
  5. If done properly, factions will give smaller groups and solo players more chance in the game. And there would be no need to remove building or altering it too much, after all a faction is simply a different flag is it not? You also get players who will always join the underdog, just for the sheer hell of it. There's nothing better in pvp imo than beating your opponent when the odds are totally stacked against it. And seriously I don't see how factions could make it any worse than it is now for the solo or small group anyway.
  6. I agree about having factions, if only because it gives a near automatic level playing field. Having played ESO for years and doing loads of pvp, I think 3 factions is the perfect number for constant fighting. Although you do find sometimes factions gang up together if they lose too often. But 3 factions is perfect for a pyrate game, Naval, Traders, and Pyrates. Each with their own unique attacks etc.
  7. I think the claiming of islands in Atlas, is a small nod to new providence.
  8. I'm just glad that Atlas is nothing like an ark dlc anymore.....Oh hang on, tranq arrows, more tames, hmmm.....
  9. Actually the cheats for atlas are downloadable, In fact they make it so public and blatant, that I can't believe The devs haven't tried to shut it down. I found out when I came across a company using cheats against me, I googled what they had done and the link was there on the google search! If you download it you will have no idea what else you have unwittingly downloaded either, ie, trojan, virus etc. I will say I personally do not like cheating or agree with people that do it online, If I want to mess around I do it in single player. You might as well cheat at solitaire if you can only win that way. Pc already has the advantage over xbox, so why cheat? Surely there is no satisfaction in beating someone when you know you can't lose anyway. Exploits are one type of bad, but cheat code use should be an automatic ban imo.
  10. I dont know about the seed vendor, but the top right island on the map with the oriental style freeport seems to have the most vendors in blackwood.
  11. All they need is a pricing system that allows you to build them at a fraction of the cost of buying them ready made from a vendor. Which is how it would be in a real environment anyway. Some people will still like the convenience of buying a ship ready made, whereas others will prefer to build one. You wouldn't pay top price for a car and have it delivered in bits. No one buys a kit house for the same price as a ready built. It's so obvious I dunno why they haven't done it.
  12. The trouble is , early access should not be used as a legal middle finger or constant get out clause for a lack of progress. It's like giving a teenager a bona fide excuse for not doing homework, and then wondering why they won't do any. They do quote ea in every darn post now and the jokes getting old imo.
  13. When Atlas first went to xbox, there was no way xbox players were gonna be on a level battlefield with the pc players. Not only had the pc players been playing for nearly a year already and so had the game pretty much tied up ,And as well as a lot of menu differences , the controls on xbox are a lot slower to use . there are also objects in the water that do not render for the xbox players at all. You only find out when you hit them! I have both versions and believe me we got royally shafted with the xbox version. And we also paid 3 times more for the game.
  14. Maybe disney have bought the game, I mean disney pyrates would have no problem with buying ships, settling down and becoming traders, and pyrating only at weekends right?
  15. I timed how often I had to eat the other day, although I do like to keep all my vits at least halfway, it was every 10 minutes real time. Does anyone know how fast a game day is in real time? I've never timed it but I know it is a lot faster, which could be why we have to eat so much. Personally if players in a game find it easier let their character die than to eat , then it's time the mechanic was changed imo.
  16. myself and others have been asking for this for well over a year, they actually replied and said they were not considering it. I've come to the conclusion the devs are minimalists.
  17. Or you can dig with the shovel to empty your stomach quite fast.
  18. Tbh Gomez, this time of year I think a Turkey farm would be a better investment!
  19. Yeh especially as Atlas cost three times more on my xbox than it did my pc!
  20. Yeh, it has never worked on mine either. Tbh the xbox menu is a very bad cut down from the pc one.
  21. I can't play the pc version at all anymore as it won't get past the menu screen. I do have the game on xbox, but tbh I have stopped playing that too since the recent updates and the direction the game is now going in.
