We're trying to put a server (node/case) as freeport, so people can't build/place flag on it. We put the server as HomeServer And try with or without But it simply change between is lawless or not. But people can still build or claim (depend on bDontUseClaimFlags) Answers from ESTHAROS :

Use one (or many) handling sail. It changes everything Not an issue at all, you just don't have correct sails and/or doesn't understand the concept of balacing. Change your sails, and test

(sorry for my english, not my native language) Hum, in official freeport, you can't build or claim. In lawless you can build but not claim. And normal island you can build if claimed. What I'd like to have is a server which behave as a freeport in official. A server where people can't build or claim. A place to start, as in official. Is it possible to disallow claim AND building ?

We checked it, we added that too : But the place isn't considered as freeport but as lawless :/

I try but without the : "OverrideShooterGameModeDefaultGameIni": { "bClampHomeServerXP": false (i don't know where to place it, I use the grid editor). And it put the server as lawless, not freeport But it is set as homeserver

What I am doing is : Ark existed before, and Atlas works the same way for a lot of features. Expecially end game

Is it an island as other we can add on the grid system ? Or for specific server with Iso Blackwood and only ? Is it one big island ? Is it mutilple islands ? If someone have more info, maybe share it here ? I'm very interesting of this new add (ps : it will comes out late March)

I suggest to people to not play solo, as the game isn't meant to be played solo, as you can see with multiple feature, as skills

Solo player can do, but hard. And need a lot of time. Kraken is a sea boss, for land boss we'll need these impregnated creatures. And so, people will buy theses on market (as too hard to be achieve solo if you don't have time. So you could buy some with gold/ressource, as in Ark). Do you played Ark before ? Seems not :/ Cause it was really the same, and part of gameplay/endgame. Breeding was hard, need patience/luck (expetially for mutation), but with that, you could "create" awesome creature, wich peoples needed for bosses. Breeding is a big part for market :D

Taking into consideration that the game is based on Ark, with the same team (almost). In Ark breeding "is not meant to be done alone" and is end game. So yes, we can easily asume that's same gameplay mechanic, not to be done alone, and end game. Simply as that. The major problem breeding had, was coldwave and heatwave, which insta killed baby. Impregnation on baby is the most OP thing you can get on Atlas, bear with ~2500 health and ~250 atck. With that, you can easily get to a bear with ~5000k and 300-350% atck. If any solo player could do that, it won't have any sense, what end game does it have except that ?

I didn't say it can't be changed. I say that breeding isn't really hard, easier than Ark actually (except for temperature, but they changed it). Imo, your comment is as absurd as people saying "Alpha Overseer should be easy douable in solo". These things is for company, it's actually end game, it is game content/feature that is made for people that play in group, it's a challenge. As realistic as instant death eating poop, or breeding in 2 days, taming animals, etc etc

Breeding isn't meant to be done alone. With a company, you can easily relay with other, and still have a life

We would like to create a grid where people can't build/claim similare as in Freeport. But where people can still fight in PvP. How could we do this ? We tried : bDisableClaimFlags=True but it simply put islands as lawless

Change how to play/farm : Make cow or atleast bull able to "use" the cargo saddle. And able us to put on it a chest that make ressource to weight less. And so, make the cargo saddle a cargo, and not just a mounted gun The wool from sheeps should be a material that can work either as Hide or Fiber (or only fiber). Actually, hide isn't a ressource that we farm a lot. Fiber is one we do, so people would tame many to gather there wool to farm Fibers, as an alternative way Bear need to be less effective. Actually it's the best transporter, it harvests fiber/fruit, it is the best mount, can put a cargo with canon on it, super fast. It needs to be less good everywhere. Better experience : An animal that help for breeding (I know penguin provide heat). But something that is a bit better ? Or an other animal that provide cold ? Why not ? Make the seagull able to "fish" as on Ark. With a similary bonus. I really like the idea from Symptom too. Make them really usefull Make the vulture able to harvest a rare meat ? That can't be obtainable with other animals. A meat that can be use to tame or recipe maybe ?
