i dont wish ATLAS to be this bad forever, but when we grow up we learn that we must differentiate hopes from reality, specially with this company track record, but hey if it eventually gets fixed in a future i will be glad.

well i was comparing it to 2 real early access titles that i play that were launched at about the same time, in a muchbut are almost a finished product right now (one of them has actually beenofficially released)

we all know the pathetic state of the game and the incompetence of this devs but the moment something as harmless as gaining height to glide is considered an exploit, at that moment, i will jump off a bridge in real life.

your post count tells me you are new around here, hence i would suggest you to keep your mouth shut if you have no idea what you are talking about, many of the people who are complaining now once were hardcore defenders of the game but the current state of the game is due to the shady practices of its developers, just so you know they completely halted its development to focus on 2 other projects like the xbox release and the ARK new DLC release, hence after more than 1 year of early access we have 75% of the problems we had from day one, including bad decisions that didnt exist back when the game was released, so please dont be ignorant, if you dont know the reasons ask, dont just assume shit.

and what part of "Pirate-themed Survival PvP game" includes the word "Tame Based"??? I was not pre-disposed/expectant of a specific type of ocean content, but tames are not ocean content, and lets be clear that i dont dislike them but if they have time to design more than 20 tames it is only logical they could have designed less pets and more actual ocean content. as they correctly stated in the live stream they overdid the pets part and also "forced" players to spend way too much time at land.

do you know why i bought the game? ocean content, not tames, not pvp, nothing else, ocean content. and surprise surprise for that you need a ship that fits your style and necessities, do you need tames in a normal naval combat pirate themed game? no, are they a bad thing? no, is it ok the fact that we have more than 20 different types of pets and only 4 types of boats? no, why? because thats not what they advertised, if you pay for a tv but you get a fridge instead would you be happy? also your post's title is quite arrogant, who appointed you as the community representative? YOU dont want more types of boats, i do.

what reason aside from the boats do i have to playing ATLAS instead tho? none. new world will have better graphics, better optimization, bigger money investment, wiser management (wich is already showing in the decisions they are taking) in other words the only ATLAS's appealing is boats, wich has not even been expanded, even after more than 1 year of early access we have the same 4 types of boats we have had from the very first day.

most likely not, wich is sad, but they also dont have a decay system, wich is great

and being an ARK clone will? honestly ATLAS shouldnt be copying neither one nor the other. but hey new world is just around the corner so they can do w/e they want with this game as far as i care.

when did i say i dont want ANY tame in the game? what i said is that i dont want ATLAS to force you to have a tame for every activity there is, you need tames for resources, for fighting, for treasures, even for fucking weather conditions, wich is not a problemm itself the problem is that you have no real alternatives for those who dont like this taming system, maybe i wouldnt mind that much if the game was properly designed, but the reality is that is not. that said, i will never play this game ever again as long as there is a decay system in it.

"we do them" you mean the 6.4% remaining ATLAS population? if i wanted to play most of the time in land i would go to one of the several survivals that take place on land, if i wanted a tame simulator i would go to a tame simulator, what they are proposing makes total sense with what the game was suposed to be from the very beggining, you cannot call a plastic bottle "cup" just because you drink coffe on it. and dont get me wrong i am not defending this scummy developers, but for once what they are trying to do makes sense, unlike the absurd "decay timers" some random idiot decided to implement.

incorrect: 7D2D, early acces, very fun game, Oxygen not included, early access until recently, excellent game Satisfactory, early access another excellent game You rly have to bump up your standars mate, if you like ATLAS i am fine with it, but what they are doing is not EA at all (even if they have to call it that way so people actually buys it) its decade away from being able to be called EA.

well for several reasons: 1.- these developers are greed as fuck 2.- with no more buyers continuted develpment of the game is not viable, hence lack of content, hence people getting bored and quiting. 3.- people is obssessed with socializing so the more people the happier players are (to be honest i have never understood why they cannot enjoy a game for what the game is, if people want to socialize so fucking much they should just go to a fucking bar or facebook but w/e)

yes it does, you said it yourself: because mythos and gold are more valuable than the standar wood or metal that you can gather without even needing to sailing, aside from those 2 the rest of resources are barely valuable.

thats exactly what i mean because those resources are not valuable enough, players want to pvp, so why not giving more value to resources and also ease their transportation so they actually feel encouraged to fight for something they deem valuable?

ofc is not gonna sink because of that, but they did spent time and resources implementing it, if that feature adds not much value/appealing to the game maybe that time and effort should have been spent in a more appealing feature/fix?

i stopped doing it because of what i described, so no wonder why no one does it.
