  1. For PVE they need to limit a companies territory flags to 10. These 10 cannot be contested, however, Once set they take a 30 day cool down to relocate all other non-contestable flags. To get beyond 10 flags companies with every 10 members beyond 10 are granted 1 additional flag. Max a companies members to 500 total. These additional flags can be contested every 24 hours. This would allow others to move off the lawless, in-turn make room for the newbies. Keep the game flowing with new trade deals as well allow alliances to form. Make another server, add more islands, something... Land is becoming rare. The official server map might be enormous but, it's mostly just sea. The land is a lot smaller than it looks. I have yet to find one island I can't cross under a minute or so. This game is not as big as it may seem. I like the idea it brings, but honestly it's going to become boring and annoying real quick.
  2. We were trying to grind them out, and level our Schooner. Which was doing well for sometime. Then out of nowhere three level 20's showed up and we couldn't out flank them. It would be nice if the SotD operated at the same sailing rules the playable ships do. Follow wind directions would be a great start.
  3. I have to correct, or rather add, to your statement. Gotta remember that while being cold or frozen the hunger ticks down faster. On top of being active with the cold, the hunger ticks down much faster. So we eat more. However the Vitamins don't tick down as fast as the hunger. So ever so slowly the vitamins keep hiking up. Until it overdoses and we die. It's just a weird mechanic to the game. Vitamin management has become more of choir than a challenge. Yeah we still get SotD spawns between 12-18 at a time. It makes sailing through the E2 zone rather difficult. As well as the storms that come through forcing the two parties together. Really just feels like the game is rigged against the players at this point. Nearly lost another ship to those damn over spawning SotD. Wish they had to follow the same wind, storm and other sailing rules we players have to. That or lower the damage. Two schooners lost to them is too many.
  4. You seem to have had it a lot easier than my company. We get swarmed by wolves constantly. Lost a level 20 bear to 8 wolves. Couldn't kill them fast enough. So now trying to hunt down more honey to get everyone a bear. Currently living in E2 it's plagued with SotD. The company thought if we cleared them from the area it would reset the spawn rate lower as per the patch. They have spawned back in droves. Often come across 13 at a time huddled together. So it's not just the wolves that spawn in at ridiculous numbers. A small island about the size of schooner has 30-49 horses on it at all times. Perhaps it just how it is? It's crazy because now that we are south looking for honey, spawn rates are down. What is it about the north that has them at a higher rate? I get how to survive the cold, and obtaining the vitamin buff easy enough. The problem is the vitamins don't drain as fast as our hunger. So we end up either overdosing on vitamins every 20 minutes trying while the character is groaning from starvation pains. To clarify, we have 80% vitamins while starving. To fend off starvation, the vitamins go up and we get the overdose effect. Are we missing something or is the game just not working properly. From what we see in videos, the vitamins drain equally to starvation. Why is it not working for us?
  5. Yeah I agree. The SotD feel out of place. Regular npc pirates that have to deal with sailing problems like everyone else would be great. Otherwise it's a terrible solution to challenge players at sea. As well spamming them to swarm a ship to the depths is also a cheap challenge. Anyone can zerg as a challenge. Making them rare enemies worth a damn would be the ideal challenge. To find one and want to go after it.
  6. 3 of us deal with 4 to 5 wolves every 1-3 minutes. They hit like a truck, killing us within 2-3 hits. We have fur armor to survive the cold. I tried plate but, it made very little improvement. Allowing the massive horde of wolves to kill us in 3-4 hits. We also have a number of unbalanced issues with starvation. Being in the cold I have 60 Fortitude and still freeze. This causes hunger every 20 minutes +/- a minute. Yet the Vitamins don't drain so I overdose on vitamin levels. Please do tell, what am I doing wrong here? Taming is just... what the fuck? Can't feed the animal because I get eaten, then lose all the taming proficiency. Waste materials and time doing exactly what others who have tames.
  7. I'm exhausted by this game. Over 100 hours played and the game just loves taking things away. I've said it many time before, a game with a Zap Brannigan level of success is no fun. Throw waves upon waves, death after death, just to get something done. If I wanted that as a game I'd go play Dark souls. At least gave you satisfactory rewards.
  8. Patch a patch... now that is brains right there.
  9. Ain't that the truth. The mobs and taming in this game are ridiculously difficult. It's another game that turns gaming into a chore. "Like Pirates". Nah, like Zap Brannigan, killing player after player to get something done. Snore!
  10. Have you not been to the north? I found out yesterday the wolves are apparently stronger in the north... Why? Because Zap Brannigan loves to through men after men to claim success!
  11. Right!? They breed like rabbits! It should be more realistic to have them respawn 30 in 3 hours. Not 3 minutes.
  12. Survival, maintenance cost, taming... The game is designed with one objective. Zap Brannigan your way to success. 40% health buff to this and that... 40%!? You'll get a road map of the games development once a Mod creator makes one. This Dev team doesn't test anything before they put it out. It's not hard to look at numbers and calculate proper percentages. Wild creatures as a whole verses tamed creatures, 40% health buff? The wolves alone hit like a truck. How the fuck does a wild bear at level 1 eat a pack of wolves, but that same bear tamed can't? 40% of 10 is still only 14. Oooo, now the bear can take 1 extra hit. Yeah that's not great patching, that is guess work at best. Band-aids on bullet holes is not effective way to save a community from death. Speaking of bullet holes, firearms are worthless! In what world does a cannon at any level cost 28 ingots while, a carbine cost 65 to build and 35 to maintain yet the carbine weighs less? Let me answer that for you. They don't test shit! Well no... shit was literally the only thing they did test.
  13. The fact you have to get a head shot on a level 3 anything is sad. What numbers are they looking at when doing patches? Spawn rates are through the roof but weapon damage is nerfed? Henceforth calling this game "Zap Brannigan's Ideal Game." Wave upon wave of men just to get one plank built. 1/10th of the way their men! Don't give up! We've almost got a ship. Here, take these windup weapons!
  14. Firearms are a complete waste of skills and mats. The rate of mob spawns and the damage they deal is crazy. One shot kill form the blunderbuss and carbine for mobs level 30 and below. If not, then tone down these mobs. PLEASE!!! FFS.
  15. The multiple firearm carry is a weak argument. The crating and maintenance cost still can't beat a bow and arrow. Let alone total weight to carry multiple firearms and ammo. As well the loss of maneuverability the players have during reload times. Think one gun reload is terrible, reloading 2, 3, 4, hell an entire hot bar, is certain death. The current "magic pixel" for head shots is already difficult. Add on how mobs and players move, it's a waste of time and skills. Here is what really gets me laughing. The carbine cost 65 ingots to craft and another 35 to maintain. A medium cannon cost 28 ingots to craft. HA! How does this make sense? The Carbine is so worthless, today I logged on at 1600 and now at 1800, I'm still killing wolves. They breed like rabbits with 30 seconds a re-spawn. I chewed a stack of metal for maintenance and ammo. After finally running out of metal I just crafted a bow with 900 arrows. After 900 arrows I just called it a day. Another 2 hours wasted on wolf slayer simulator.
  16. Line of sight needs to be added into this game. I, for one, am tired of the constant mobs and their spectacular senses to find me in a building, miles away and, with great strength. I'm all for a challenge to overcome. However, these mobs are op. I shouldn't have to play babysitter just so my friends can harvest mats.
  17. Do the skills for reload and difficulty apply to the blunderbuss and carbine firearms? I assume because it says "Pistol's" on the perk that it applies only to the flint and lock. Personally, against mobs, the blunderbuss and carbine should be one shot kills without head shots. Unless the mob is an alpha, then fair enough, 3 shot kills. The skill cost and materials are high for the weapons already. The reload is slow while also making the character slow during the process. Their are more negatives to firearms than positives that It's not as efficient or effective as the bow. How does this make sense? Why waste the skills?
  18. In the north we have lions and wolves. Contending with the cold and constant rain players have to put the majority of points in fortitude. Taking away potential HP, Stam and Weight benefits. By day two of this game we called Atlas "Wolf Slayer Simulator," as we spent 9 straight hours killing them. Personally it makes little sense really, they spawn faster than rabbits. Rabbits are well known for their breeding habits. Yet it's 10-15 wolves per 1 rabbit. I've been to the tropical area, giant snakes and crocs also breed like rabbits. As well have a bite range that reach walls stacked two high. As for eating through wood so easily. Why? Is this the story of the big bad wolf? 10k hp walls and wolves get to chew through it like paper? Thatch I am willing to understand but when was the last time a story about wolves chewing through a log cabin made the headlines? These mobs are out of control and need a lot of adjusting. Our level 60 bear struggles against 2-3 wolves. Spec'd out bow players struggle against a single wolf at level 1, let alone 2 at 30+ levels.
