what i dont get is this guy is not even trying to kill the sotd, grab a pic, axe, scythe, and start swinging away. just complains, there are griefers in PVE, we deal with it in every game. im glad the patch made this harder to be effective. but sheesh fight back my man

let me guess you live in lawless, have a couple of friends, if not solo.... the game is designed for companies, and no you don't have to be a mega company, peak players has dropped by more than half, PLENTY of land out there, 10 out of 10 times you would tax 30% as well. have you tired to be part of a community? I have been solo since launch, living in lawless, i found an opportunity to bring friends and other connection i have made in game together to make something more than just a shanty on a beach with no long term holdings. you can do the same. Do you own land? what is your tax rate? hows your grid doing? are you making things better for the entire grid and other people on the Island? Also do you read? there are a total of 36 people on 1 island that are happy. All of them have stated it in chat. I am truly sorry that your having a bad experience on a wonderful developing game. Patience and persistence are what it takes to succeed in this game. also no, we don't laugh at people, you put an two day IRL time into and island and tell me you don't want to tax until projects are complete. again... trolls gonna troll

I am sorry you feel that way. If you want to go to either place that is fine. Shame on me for playing the game the way it was designed? Sorry not sorry. We are non toxic, friendly welcoming people. you are more than welcome to identify any islands that offer beach front at no cost (aside from taxes), with no worry or risk of loosing it. You are more than welcome to play ARK if in your opinion its worse. Freeport resources are not of much use outside repairs and building parts (walls, floors, etc) we offer usable resources that are not spawn blocked, land that will not be taken away, access to the entire island, friendly players, and a wonderful ally offering. Everyone will have to go to lawless as well to get other resources, you are more than welcome to find somewhere inland on any of those places as most beaches are crowded. I am not saying you have to do any of this, i am more saying the server grid we live in has become much more productive and welcoming than it has been in the last 3 weeks. as a side note, i started in lawless, i was a solo that would just live and be happy where i was at, i have made friends and trade connections, i have sailed to over 100 islands (not a lot by any means) and have seen maybe 1 or two islands that were welcoming and clean. it takes a lot of time and efforts to keep things locked in (land claims, up keep of crew, expansion of ports) so a 30% tax until projects are completed is not out of the questions. If you choose to go to freeports or lawless that is fine. Chinese company's come through all the time and farm, so im not hurt by you or your friends not coming. But for a lot of other people that don't share your same views, it is a blessing to see positive progress. Don't be so greedy when it comes to I HAVE TO HAVE MY OWN PLOT, just rent, be friendly, and don't rent from toxic people.

yes i left, but no i didnt join anyone, we are the flintlock company. just got lucky timing and got a lot of land, there are plenty of resources here you guys should come and join us

So how about something positive on the whole claim flag. I have almost 400 hours in game (i have a full time job, children, and am a single parent, so be quiet with your excuses), my company(about 10 of us) where on an island that was taken over by several companies of the same size or larger. They had not logged in for quite some time. There was foundation spam, random building not in use, and entire parts of the island blocked off by large stone gates made (pre-stone nerf). with the latest update to the claim flag system we where able to take back all the land, demo the remaining resource blocks, walls, large gates, etc. there are still 2 active companies on the island. When they logged in to see that we got most of the island and returned it to its former beauty (removed all spam, all unused buildings, large gates, etc.) they where so happy. Now several companies in the grid have access to metals, sugars, fibers, woods, etc. They couldn't be happier, in addition to that not a single person that came to visit for more supplies for the home complained about the 30% tax rate, as they have been having to go to other grids to find those resources. We keep our lands clean, we keep resources spawning, we keep the wildlife cycling, there are always a wide variety of types. We have open areas of beach so people can make land fall and not have to move around walls or dodge 500 ships parked in a cove entirely too small to fit that many. our whole server grid is much better off. I think this was a great update, and will enable the good land owners to be able to improve the overall use of the island, and the way they tie into the other islands around the area. Soon we will be opening the beach areas to public build, there is plenty of land for people to come and use. TL:DR New claim system helped clean an island and improve QOL for our server grid, and people where happy! Also not a large mega company. Trolls 0 - Company 1

Arhhhhh I be looking for some land in temperate climate for building, dont want a patch of land that is owned by another company, looking to have my own land, i dont mind taxes, and i dont build ugly structures, would like to have something on the coast. Im currently lvl 52, and am a jack of all trades, but master of none. Please let me know if you have some breach front land with enough room to build a large shipyard, and some nice looking buildings. Thanks for taking the time to read!

I don't have the time or care to read through all your posts, but just a quick scan shows this. While it may or may not be the truth. The point is people that play even though some things are broken, even though it frustrating with lag, all the other things that are common complaint. The game will improve from creative suggestion, accurate bug reporting, and a bit or patience. Accurate bug reporting is not "HELP! This clan from (insert country here) is sinking my ship with a glitch!" Creative suggestion is not "devs are stupid for adding X because of Y" Patience is not "i have played X amount of hours and have wait all of X hours for a fix to Y and nothing is changed" These are things that toxic and unproductive community members do. There are several posters that make point by point problems and suggest new mechanic's or ways they might be fixed or changed for the better. Those are the people that want the game to be amazing, those are the people that should stay around. Just because there is a glitch, or a workaround, doesn't mean you should use it. So when I say that the people that are toxic can leave more land for the people that love that game, that is what I mean. Also.... Play the game not the forum, are you serious 370+ posts! More time on forums than in game.......

It was in a cell next to free port during 2x, takes 2 mins of farming to get ramshackle, 4 mins to sail there, and about 4 mins to run in. died as soon as i got the fountain. I also have advanced hand harvest. it was very easy. the lag was a little annoying but, it was very easy. I should have taken video. The cave was clear for the most part, and there where plenty of people. I may have gotten lucky but the lag did not seem to bad. It was also 3 am........ most of the time when I am online there are lots of Chinese on, so that may have had a little to do with it as well.... Either way, I work a full time job, manage finances for the home, cook, clean, watch 2 kids, and I still had the time to do this. If a person that is solo, with "no time to play" (I guess I shouldn't say that, I think i am pushing 300 hours) can do it, than so can anyone else. I am lvl 50 and most of my points are in health. Also here is a thought, since i have level 1 buff, when i get old age again, does it counteract the 10% debuff that will happen? If not, I think it should. I think the hardest that it should ever affect your stats is the first time you do it. Sure it should still take the 10% debuff. Lets say, its the second time you are doing it, your already buffed +10% so your total debuff should be 0 and your only worry should be death. (once child bearing is added). To me it would make sense that they would go that way.

i did the quest in 10 mins, i am solo, I live on lawless, I had the age debuff for a couple of day's, not that bad. Listen guys yes I could say its EA, I could say they are poor in implementation, I could say that the game sucks because I don't like playing it. When it comes down to brass tacks, If you don't like it go play another game and check back, go play a private server, they are Linux now so there should be larger ones coming online. and for all you people out saying "i have 300+ hours a nice base, tames, ships, crews, max level. I cant quit, I have too much into this game to just change to private." STFU and go do something else. Here is the deal, if you can code a better game, Go for it. If you think you can do a better job than they can, apply for a position, if you think you can patch better than apply for a job, if you think you can implement features better than apply for a position. All I see all day in the forums, is a bunch of people that like to bitch and complain in the normal same ole internet meme way. How about this, you want to help the game, try not raging, try to submit creative ideas. You think something could be done better than submit and post a well worded, thought out, detailed description of what could be done better." BUT BUT BUT the devs are not responding to me! , They don't even listen to their customers." STFU, if you talked to someone IRL like you do on the forums, you either would get no service, or you would get your ass kicked. Now STFU and go play or find a private server that caters to your play style.......

That is the point of the question..... They are talking about stuff they have not used the mechanics with at all..... Why cant everyone just wait till its deployed, instead of claiming this is going to ruin the game....
