  1. Nope, had that too, it's impossible to jump back out either if u have the deck nearly complete, u will have to make yourself tired and die from lack of food and water.
  2. Nearly 5 hours later still no update on putting back up those servers ... I see other posts where servers are down for 16hours +
  3. So we can also not complain about the PVE issues? Players able to kill eachother with repair hammers, people glitching into houses to kill and steal everything someone who already left PVP cuz of the griefing while u think u logged out "safely" inside a house u built on Lawless where u gathered resources to build a bigger boat to sail out of newbie area the other day u log back in, but no, u can restart your grind of resources. Hopefully on that same island but people on PVE just stack stuff on your raft or encumber it themselves by weight so your raft and bed are gone too when u try to log back in. For me I haven't managed to get outside of Freeport & Lawless so far because of griefing and the server issues, even losing stuff when moving from freeport to lawless when lawless suddenly goes down the moment u sail over the blue border. I know this is early access but I'm forced to restart not only to technical issues but mostly to griefing combined with technical issues. Moving from PVP to PVE was my hope for being able to play at least further than newbie zones, but even when I get out of newbie zones with a couple of friends on a bigger ship than a raft there is still alot of Ghost ships waiting to wreck my boat, not to mention the rediculous amount of damage a whale does to your ship. If u manage to survive all that u still have to find a spot u can claim and really start your Pirating adventure. Even for today I've been waiting nearly 6 hours for EUPVE L9 server to come back online because that is where my resources are to build a big ship and try to move beyond newbie point. This with over 50 hours of "in game time" on steam for Atlas, where I'm sure 30+ hours have been me in menu screen from day one issues. Even bought this the second it came out and didn't have a 17% discount yet which was there seconds later... Can u see how people get annoyed?
  4. Aha, this answers someone else who asked the question what the benefit is of these different types of the same thing, like copper & silver in your example. Good to keep stacks of different areas then
  5. Please give us an update on when servers are coming back online that aren't online for a long time, and look into PVE issues where players kill eachother with Repair hammers, destroy buildings on PVE by stacking snakes under it (or letting them attack dunno what they mean) L9 EU-PVE offline since... ? been waiting nearly 3 hours now And please look into raft weight damage when anchored also against griefing on PVE (and PVP maybe) players just come on your boat to get it to sink with alot of stuff. Make stuff that is pincoded with longer pincodes or password or add an optino "Company Access" so griefers don't sit down for 20 minutes to guess a 4 digit password. Apparently people get inside houses by going to sleep next to the corner of a house and get inside that way when they log back in then kill players with repair hammers and ruin their experience. If you are gonna keep ignoring people who are playing this game solo or with a smaller group this will bleed to death quickly. I already got chased off PVP cuz everything to rekt when logging out for a couple of hours and now on PVE it's nearly the same with the only difference u can't even fight griefers off in most cases.
  6. Oh well, with thse two fighting it might become a "hot topic" and devs might notice the issue
  7. For now I also don't mind the increased harvest rates, makes up for all the issues and lost time on lost ships and what not we had since launch. As smoeone also stated this game probably will get at least one wipe if not a couple before we progress to a stable version where we can all spawn on a freeport and not longer on a lawless as the game was intended to start, not with this lawless areas and immediate swarming of islands all across the map. yea the big companies will repeat this process but at a much slower rate when we progress from a stable version after a wipe.
  8. Isn't the white name above their "pirate name" their steam name?
  9. Report them through Steam, if u have proof I think they can also get banned for that. Talking about racial slur ofcourse, the griefing is not Steam's concern afaik.
  10. I wonder how they get the repair hammer exploit to work for them, I thought I glitched the game when I got stuck in a Sloop's lower deck that wasn't mine and tried to wear myself out and spamming all keys then I noticed the repair hammer did PVP damage. So basically this whole extra resources until Jan 1st is a little bit of candy of us to be silent and enjoy the never ending grind to complete a big boat to sail out and either be obliterated by ghostships, whales, tornados, and if we manage to survive all that u arrive at another island that is completely claimed yet to venture off into the sea where you have to test your luck again and hope the next island isn't claimed but ... it is. To read that there are people in PVE actually out to do just this and screw people over is even more frustrating, I know it's Early Access and we are testing this while we play in a way but this isn't gonna stay enjoyable if these problems aren't addressed or even aknowledged to start with.
  11. Oh yeah the pin code thing I was gonna comment on that too, at least they should make it with passwords or pincodes that are much longer, a 4 digit pin code without the use of macro's will take a player 20-30 minutes to unlock in case he starts at 0000 and the code would be 9999 if that person went all the way through the possible combinations. Another solution would be that doors and chests can only be used by people of your company and that they add that option to the door options, rather than set pin code u can choose set company access only. I've been thinking about putting a hallway with a couple of doors in it with different pincodes to keep this kind of thieves out and I have not encountered any myself so far but it is a concern I have as well, each chest in my building has a different pincode and so does the door, people who wanna rob me need to put some effort in it. Also the crafting tools inside my house are always empty when nobody is online or crafting anything. But it sucks when u are offline and people do this, it's the reason I left PVP server because once u log out u know u are gonna have to restart when u log back in when not playing with a big team.
  12. I know that there are some servers in maintence right now and the one I've been playing on for a couple of days straight is currently down but I would like to report that there is a a near constant lag on that server, for being EU based my ping shouldn't be around and over 100 ms constantly. People reported in general chat that the massive ping (being 125 - 200) is because of one island where there are spawning alot of catfish(?) all together clogging up space and people are unable to kill them due to being so many of them in one spot. I don't know if this is the reason why this server is so laggy and if this will be fixed after maintenance but it should be looked into.
  13. Hi there, if you happen to be playing on L9 EU PVE it might have been me who did the killing, not that I'm proud of it but I know it's possible due to another broken thing in the game. I managed to get on a Sloop from other players, 3 were sleeping on the boat, one below deck and two on deck. I went below deck and was physically unable to jump back out because the one piece of deck that wasn't created was in the middle, the distance was too high to jump back on so I started to wear out my stamina and tried to hurt myself as much as possible to deplete my nutricion and water and die quicker. In this mass spamming of keys I noticed that I did damage to a player below deck and one within reach on deck with my repair hammer that I equipped during the button smashing. So two things really: make sure there is a way to get out of your boat when u fall below deck and it's not entirely filled yet and try to find out what causes people to be able to do damge to other players in PVE. Might have something to do with the lack of stamina, exhaustion or just pure luck, when I swapped from repair hammer to another tool and back to repair hammer I was unable to do more damage to players and it behaved normal, so it's not the item that's causing the PVP damage.
