  1. lol are you kidding me? during hte 9 hour window you have more than enough warning and understanding to prevent a raid, git gud or rip

Pretty much the tittle, add better building parts and defensive structures, thicker wall segments with battlements that can be added that start our as a skeleton (much like the boat) but count as one segment of a larger thicker wall that you can customize with gun ports inner walkways,stairs, rooms etc etc.

  4. gotta hand it to the devs, they seem very involved and seem like they want to listen to the community and change things according to what the majority of the player base wants to do.
  5. Why not wipe the servers in a week rather than the end of the month? and why announce the wipe a month before? just rip the band aid off and wipe the servers.
  6. i agree, the devs should make it more accessible through a mission or just a simple unlock with skill points.

Our coms are quite relaxed and organized and the rate in which new members join our company and remain active is quite consistent actually, you seem like somebody who is incredibly bummed out because his or her tiny group of 4 or 5 friends couldnt get a foothold or got constantly wiped because they couldnt handle the game how it was and id imagine when the new system comes out you will still get wiped, infact judging by your overall attitude towards how large groups (and almost all smaller ones) play the game i bet you and whoever you play with wont keep ownership of an island for very long after the wipe and just end up quitting the game or living on lawless.

I think the devs should just give us more options to defend against offline raiding, like defensive towers or some crazy golden age tech that bubbles your island or something, we dont need hand holding with this raiding time crap and war declarations, those are made on the open seas or when some tiny group of assholes raid one of your outposts or sink your boats in harbor , 90% of us come from hardcore survival games, we all know the time that needs to be put into games like this and we all know how hard we all have to work to maintain and keep the things we work so hard to build. Thank you devs for considering the little guy in your pvp changes but i think a better change can be figured out that benefits everyone for pvp. @Jatheish
  10. lol Maybe so but id wager in that scenario the pvp servers would be mostly dead a month after wipe, but i guess we will see where this all goes. I doubt the devs want their core audience to just move on to another game. But maybe im wrong! who knows at this point.
  11. then perhaps you should find a new game? but i do agree the grind should be greatly reduced so you can just hop in and get stuff done but not so much as its incredibly easy and requires no time at all.
  12. completely reasonable but thats what pve is for, and im not trying to be toxic when saying that, its just a more relaxed casual forgiving experience. PVP is and always should be a time sink.

The war system and timers on pvp and offline raiding sound like absolutely trash, some of the most fun ive ever had in this game were launching sneak attacks on enemy harbors and having them try to funnel out in a panic to meet us in battle, or defending against people trying to offline raid us but catching them in the middle and beating them back, honestly it sounds like everyone complaining about pvp as it is right now needs to seriously get better at the game or move to pve for a more relaxed experience. So what? you dont have the time to invest in the game? fair enough the devs should reduce the grind dramatically to compensate but changing the core mechanics because it supports offline raiding or attacking harbors to destroy enemy ships? give me a break, this is an extremely poor design choice for pvp and although i appreciate how interested the devs are in trying to fix issues i dont think any of these changes are going to really solve anything, And Offline raids are a thing because all of you smaller groups popcorn everything when bigger groups try to online raid you! i think the devs need to start paying a bit more attention to how the game is played at the top rather than listening to the 50 players at the bottom that cant get a foothold because they are unable to or unwilling to invest the time necessary to ensure they wont get wiped while they are offline. PVP in hardcore survival games isnt for everyone, thats why there is always an option to join a bigger group, or just playing pve for a more relaxed experience. My clan takes in all sorts of players, pvpers pvers and everyone in between because both types are absolutely necessary when you play PVP. I seriously hope the devs think a bit harder about the changes before the big wipe day and change them according to feedback before people invest time into building, maintaining islands and waging war.

Ok so i understand the land claim stuff, it had to be changed and im sure itll be changed and altered a million more times before full release but honestly, war tokens? raidable hours? look, thats one of the reasons conan exiles failed hard and also i play on EU PVP and i am in a NA timezone, most of my friends and people i play with are all EU and id really like to not be up at 4 am just to enjoy raiding with them. War tokens? not entirely sure how those work but i imagine you will have to go buy tokens to declare war on an island which is....great i guess but i dont think this will work for pvp very well. Currently if somebody wants to attack it happens randomly, a post goes out on discord that were being attacked and people log on and do what they can to defend and we usually push them off the island and then theyre done after their fob is gone and we get breathing room (takes about 2 - 4 hours average) but a 9 hour push is going to be exhausting because now big clans will prepare for a 9 hour push to wipe people off islands and its going to really suck. The devs need to give us more tools to defend against offline raiding rather than just adding in timers and raidable hours because a vocal minority of smaller groups cant defend against offline raids because of a lack of manpower. Hopefully this all gets tweaked and changed before the wipe and official release because i dont honestly see any of this being a viable fix to the current core mechanics of pvp.
  15. there needs to be large companies with lots of land, the devs need to make these larger groups into content for the smaller ones. Maybe smaller groups can benefit more off pirating supply lines of larger companys in future mechanics added to the game, maybe even have the ability to form pirate coves or something on lawless islands, special land claims that are limited but allow you to do some pirate stuff from lawless. The game has lots of potential the devs just need to expand their imagination and apply some of it.

My company has fought very hard to conquer our grid and maintain it, we would like to see ways to rent land to smaller clans as opposed to making it impossible to maintain an entire grid due to upkeep. Maybe add the ability to designate a baron of certain lands or a governor oh a certain area, there has to been a nice middle ground for this.

Ok so my company and i are building a massive harbor wall to defend our ships,and i mean massive, its going around our entire natural harbor and its 3-4 foundations thick (playing on pvp) it goes without saying that the lag is real and probably going to be worse with the amount of ships that will be in there and when the wall itself it actually done. so my idea to reduce the lag is to have thicker and larger wall parts available to build, so maybe 100 stone walls will create a large thick stone wall you can place down thats just one model instead of having to place 8000000 individual stone walls that all render in when you get close causing your computer to instantly catch fire, or maybe you can build the wall like a ship frame and just add the parts to it you need to complete it. I dont know, there needs to be something new with the building system to reduce lag and making it less intense to build large defenses.
  19. i agree with the stone stuff being bullshit, but it sounds like you were solo or in a group of around 10 players that were way to spread out, so the only thing i can really say is gitgud and enjoy the undermeshing cucks in ark ;).
  20. My suggestion is a locker or armory building you can activate to get a gear set in your inventory for rapidly arming when you are under attack or something.

  22. i think you guys are missing the point here, stone building parts shouldnt cost materials that you cant easily access, everyone should be able to build them, the cost should be what it originally was, STONE THATCH FIBER WOOD
