  1. So I took a break came back an hour later to start playing again and when I load in, there are rock nodes spawned all over my base and in places they shouldn't be spawning. Thought it was weird, but oh well. Took my hatchet out and began smacking the nodes with it, but didn't receive any resources. Which was weird, so I tried getting closer to it, and I went through the node, came out the other side lol. Finally got outside my base and there were more nodes all over that had the same similar properties. Couldn't harvest them, just phasing through. Not sure what to do or how to get rid of them Another thing I noticed is that some of the bugged nodes that I'm encountering, my storage boxes are sticking out of them so I can't access them at all.
  2. TBH Orinia i WISH i had only 2 wolves and 2 lions spawning in my face. On my Island there are at LEAST 2 crocs, 5 wolves, 2 lions and about 6 giant snakes on one section of our beach (one section is about 100 yards). and not to mention there is always at least 2 alpha's that are in the same section, normally a snake, its kinda rare if its an alpha wolf. its insane how bad it is and i know that this isnt just my island. whenever we travel to get resources, most islands, especially desert and tropical, normally have similar ecosystems and the only time it isnt bad is if there is a rhino or elephant spawn.
  3. PLEASE, DEVELOPERS! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FIX THE DAMN ANIMALS SPAWN! I logged in today, spent half an hour clearing animals off my friggin beach, and they respawn a couple minutes after. All the same thing, with a couple of alphas. DEVELOPERS. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!? Why are there 20 hostile predators all in one fucking area? Have to bring your whole damn company just to raid the beach and clear the animals out, holy shit, fix the animal spawn rates.
  4. Allow leaders of an alliance to setup certain permissions to allow allied companies to be able to do a couple of things, one of the more important things, being able to build on the alliance claim. Other things could include being able to use specific parts of alliance controlled ships, like steering, mast control and cannon control (everything else can be accessed via pin code). Of course the owner of the claim in the alliance will be able to remove any part of an alliance members claim if built on territory not owned by them.
  5. Currently I'm living in a desert climate island with my crew and we are able to get water spouts fine with the shovel. But is there no way to collect the water into barrels, waterskins, or jugs? or connecting pipe or placing a water reservoir on the spout to collect water, permanently? On top of that, I'm not even sure how you can use the pipes to transfer water to farm land since there is no fresh water locations outside of freeport. are my crew and me missing something about water collection? is it bugged?
  6. Past couple days have all been about balancing the Ghost ships (I know what they really are called, but this is easier). I have further balance change suggestions the envelop the wider scope of the game, that SHOULD happen soon Ghost ships need to be restricted to high level content areas (Power stone shit or whatever) and if you want some sort of PvE content like the ships, then you need to add a sloop (maybe bigger than a sloop) ghost ship that has the army of the damned NPCs. The ship would be fast and would grapple to the players ship in order for a battle to occur. Be a good way for players leaving the start servers a choice to partake in some extra, but fun PvE content without having to pray to Posiden about not running into an actual ghost ship. Claims need to be balanced. This needs to apply to PvP & PvE servers. The more claims you put down should have a price for the company to pay. Players and groups are really struggling trying to find a place to live outside of the starter zones and factions bigger than 10 claim most of the islands, if not all of the islands. So new players don't have a chance to get into the grit of the game without having to ask permission to get some land to build on. Restrictions on Freeport. Freeport is getting abused more than a whore by her pimp. This week is proof of that. I logged in today to find that my base and ships, once again, wiped by China. I spawn in at freeport and see about 500 rafts setting around. Groups with whole fleets just gathering resources. When they have enough, they'll call in the big boats and load all those supplies up, destroy the rafts and take off. This would not be so bad, if the islands in general weren't so cancer, thus leads to my next balance suggestion... Animal Spawn to player population. One of my favorite things upon visiting a new island is noticing the 50 fucking wolves running around the beach, excited to see me like I'm their master after I long day at work. Not only that, but the alpha's creature status that I THOUGHT was suppose to be rare, is more common than fucking fiber. Seriously, we kill one alpha and two more show up. This forces people to not want to farm resources and would rather go back to freeport to farm them. Please put a little bit of restraint on the Animal spawning on islands, especially predators, because farming 10,000 hide in an hour, shouldn't be a thing. The Raiding Scene. Probably a topic that will constantly be a back and forth fight. A lot of people like to think of offline raid protection as a balance mechanic for raiding. I'm all for offline raid protection for a game like this, since most goals you accomplish in the game are huge time sinks. Instead of pushing for Offline raid protection, I think the devs should find ways to promote online raiding, such as a leader board, with raiding as its core means of producing results. Players want to be at the top and the best way is a ranking system.
  7. Why is your Galleon in freeport to begin with? I understand that there are vendors there, but saying that you are staying in freeport for 12 hrs for vendors is your own fault. Freeport is a starting area for players that do not have such nice things. Most, if not all people are abusing freeport. High rate of resources at a crazy respawn rate. No PvP or raiding for complete protection of everything owned by you and your faction. The only reason you would need to take a galleon into freeport, is to buy from the vendors and then leave, which only takes about 30 minutes round trip. Everything else, you can obtain out in the world. And you are asking for a 4 day decay rate? So you can park your ship in freeport, gather free resources with complete immunity from the players of Atlas?! AHAHAHAHAHAHA. To put it in perspective, players are creating a fleet of rafts loaded with resources and its even worse since its 2.5x weekend on official. Freeport server was full of groups of people with rafts, who eventually brought in their big ships to load the supplies and take off, demolishing the rafts b4 they left. But really tho, the abuse that freeport is taking from players, well over the level of 8 is insane. My group does it, my alliances do it. Its a good strat. Especially since we get raided by China just about every night it seems and have to start over. I mean if you can build the parts of a ship in freeport and then sail to a lawless with 10 rafts, to instantly build the ship, why wouldn't you. It wouldn't be so bad, if every island in the world besides the freeport islands weren't so god fuckin awful. Oh farming some wood? Here ya go, 4 wolves lead by a 215 alpha wolf to make your day better.
  8. I think Ships of the damned need to be balanced a lot more and I would at least include sloops to the same list as the raft of a non target. Personally, I think the ships of the damned should be restricted to the islands that are important to story development, like the power stones or whatever. I would then also include a much easier ship of the damned for something like a sloop to take on with maybe swivel guns, since cannons are a bit heavy.
  9. So whats the deal with the aging? Normally an age in game means the character eventually perma dies lol.
  10. One thing I noticed is that when the player dies and returns to their body it will be in one position. If another player goes to the body, it will be in a different position. Until that gets sorted out, might be best to try and have a buddy with you the next time you have to go retrieve the goodies.
  11. Ya, you pretty much just released it on land. The shipyards can be built pretty far out from land to avoid this and if you look at the map, the map will tell you where the shallow water is and where deeper water is (for when/if you get to a large shipyard). Move your shipyard further out, and you should be good. Luckily it was only a sloop ;D
  12. How strange. What does the lighthouse do anyways?
  13. Hmm, I saw a similar issue when the patch went live, but the entire company of every player in the server didn't get disbanded. I'm curious, what was the size of your company and how many claims did you have down? Ships also. Also, is there a way to tell if any structures/ships still exist with the company tag? I'd imagine that if all members were removed from the company, the company would just disband. So if the buildings/ships at N7 still exist under the ATLAS-CN company name, then maybe the offline members of the company didn't get kicked?
  14. I think the amount of island animals spawns equals to the amount of animal/dino spawns on The Island
  15. I think there was an issue with todays patch tonight since they reverted back to the previous patch. Hopefully it gets worked out and we get some more livelier seas tomorrow.
  16. Having the wrong wind for your sails sucks. Its rough out there if you don't have a strong wind and tacking can make a 10 minute trip turn into an hour long one. Which is fine, I like the fact that tacking is in the game, but make the wind changes occur more often so we don't have to do it for longer periods of time.
  17. Ya it is rough, especially when there are some servers that won't see a lick of rain at all and other servers that has a fucking typhoon ever 10 minutes lol. Tbh, I think the whole cooking system could be overhauled. There is only one reason to not kill yourself and respawn and thats the vitamin buff you get 20% melee damage and 30 fortitude is pretty nice. Please add either fresh water sources somewhere on these islands, or allow us to create fresh water via a palm tree on a stand with a bucket under it, like Raft.
  18. Obviously its a problem, I think most players are just dying and respawning instead of actually eating food. I don't think vitamins will ever be written off as its a good idea in theory for a game of this setting. What doesn't fit with the game is the part of how much you have to eat, so often, thats where it becomes a huge problem. I've mainly been providing the food for my group. I normally have to spend an hour gathering a sufficient amount of each type of food just to provide for only 30 minutes. I think they should decrease the food consumption/stamina regen rate. With the latest patch, the vitamen depletion is also getting another nerf, so we'll have to wait and see how that fits.
  19. LOL I heard the Chinese had made landfall somewhere on the west side of the map. God speed pirates!
  20. Well at least the Devs recognized the problem instantly and already getting patched. I haven't heard of any ship refunds or if there even any ingame admins or GMs
  21. So from what I've seen and what I've experienced... 1. Ghost ships are spawning in great numbers, which I don't think is intended 2. Somehow Ghost Ships are getting into freeport servers, lead by other players and the Ghost Ships are destroying everything on freeport 3. My friend and I were leaving freeport on rafts and after transferring to a new server, the first Ghost ship we see, level 18, targets my friend's raft and chases it down until its destroyed Besides all that, I think Ghost ships are a bit much in terms of difficulty for early game players just starting out and should be left areas where high tier players or where the power stones are at (whatever they are) instead of just spawning every where in every server.
  22. I'd be perfect fine with that since I'm actually there experiencing it. But like with what I said earlier, happened to me. Me and my group build a schooner (our first last night) took most of the day too, since we kept running outta metal for the panel. We sailed her out for a little bit, came back, emptied her out so there was nothing on the ship. One of our friends that was online told us the next day that some ass wipe came by in a little raft, parked it next to our ship and put a hole in it with stone tools. He was there for hours, but he put a hole in it and sunk beneath the waters. I game! XD anyways, me and my group are going to try a different method to protect our shit this time so hopefully that works and we wont get hardcore griefed lol.
  23. I hear ya, a lot of the struggles people are facing is that there is no scaling between the islands. They started doing a little bit of balance now with the elimination of alpha animals in the lawless and freeport zones, but it doesn't help when you get out and theres like a dozen predators running around the beach that you have to dodge or avoid.
  24. I mentioned this in a different thread of mine about the need for offline raid protection in a game where base/ship building is a huge resource sink. I started thinking of ways to make offline raiding seem less appealing. So a PvP leaderboard is what comes to mind, with raiding as its core foundation. Can be called something more pirate official like Notoriety or something, idk. But the gist of the idea that if players online raid a company, that raid will have point values assigned to different parts of the raid, such as breaking structures, killing NPCs players and tames, ultimately, with the highest point value being taking down the territory flag. The point value of a territory claim scales up depending on the amount of time it has existed to promote that players raid bases that are older, over younger bases. There can be a lot of benefits for striving to be the best on the leader board. The most common could be getting cosmetic items for your weapons, armor, ships, etc. Maybe even allowing the top 50 companies to obtain an epic quest to get phat loots that is really dangerous and difficult that could span several islands and unique battles on both land and sea. Ultimately, I think the devs need to keep the idea of promoting online raiding in some way. Offline raiding is just going to kill the PvP community and if there is nothing to downplay the idea of offline raiding they are gonna switch to servers with rulesets in place that prevents it.
  25. What do you mean?! What is preventing you from doing this now? I am so bamboozled it is insane. Hell, even I'm doing this to an extent on a PvP server and you can't do it on a PvE? WTF?
