  1. Try this file, I only change IP (which should not be needed) It seems like you have not done the port forwarding or it's not applied all the way through. ServerGrid.json
  2. In ARK there was a tool you plug into the node to collect honey. It's like a Tap or something
  3. PM me your WANIP with the server running so I can see if the server is seen externally at least
  4. WANIP:5761 If adding to steam favorite for first time: WANIP:57561
  5. You designated the ports when you launch the server. Post your launch 00 bat
  6. Leave the config alone. You connect to the server with the IPv4 from whatismyip.com :port server is running on
  7. When you go to whatismyip.com you dont see an IPv4 IP listed? IPv6 can cause conflicts and issues with connection as reported by other members in community
  8. You will never see server in LAN tab. You will either (Replace WAN IP and Port with their respective values for your network): -Connect via in-game browser Unofficial tab, check show password server (I password personally, so checking is based on your choice) -Connect via steam://connect/WAN IP:Port or Steam Browser Favorites tab add WAN IP:Port -Make windows shortcut to AtlasGame.exe +connect WAN IP:Port +password "YourServerPassword" Remove the +password argument if server has no pw If the above does not work, see the Troubleshooting section at the bottom of the guide.
  9. Follow steps 2-9 (you dont need step 1 drivereasy) and apply the methods to the directories you are trying to write to: https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/steam-disk-write-error-heres-the-fix/
  10. The guide has been updated and the download link refreshed. I will maintain this link personally. @mainakmaddoxx @Captaineddy @Surviving Wag
  11. What happened was they packaged a default redis.conf and servergrid.json file into the update (probably by accident, or with purpose)
  12. Just to clarify, im on board with your train of thought- but the server will never appear on LAN tab for reference.
  13. Just keep a good password on it No one can bother you then!
  14. @Wartai I tried to give you a suggestion above
  15. Create another favorite but use your WAN/Internet IP. If you cannot connect via WAN/Internet IP you need to use a NAT Loopback workaround. There is one posted earlier in the thread. I believe when they patched and forced steam connections to join servers, the ability to use internal IP on bigger than 1x1 is not possible. Edit map/SeamlessIP to use WAN/Internet IP on all grids, as attempting to connect direct (crossing over) to another internal IP is bypassing steam (timeout). I think you can force disable the steam use in the server, but not 100% sure
  16. Awesome write-up, dude! Thank you for the template! -z00t from Joker
  17. I'd also try to source this stuff locally- as this stuff can be HEAVY, and shipping costs can take away the deal. There are always exceptions!
  18. Never would I ever have thought it...but I pulled out a friends old original Mac Pro he had "donated" to me after getting his new Pro. I'm not a big Apple fan, so I never really made use of the system, and it eventually got mothballed. Anyway, I dropped a fresh SSD into it and installed Windows 10 x64 onto it (surprisingly easy even with the 32-bit EFI "limitation", heh). After some "de-bloating" of the OS, I promptly copied my server files over the network, established a 2x2 grid, and fired her up. Like I said, not a big Apple fan, but I gotta hand it to them- Jobs (RIP) had them build a tank of a box. This thing is a solid 10-12 years old (taking into account parts were being made before they were released), and carries a 2x2 like a horse. SO impressed, and very glad to have finally found use for this thing: Specs Mac Pro 1,1 (2008) 2x Intel Xeon X5365 (8 cores @ 3.0ghz) 32GB DDR-2 667Mhz ECC 128GB SSD (Might be limited to 1.5Gbps/sec due to lack of AHCI implementation) Windows 10 Pro N 64-bit TL;DR: Old hardware can still have value. Building a server can be as easy as finding donor boxes/parts and building a franken-server (Results will vary, but with the game playable with a tickrate as low as 15, there is room to tinker). Boxes just like this are on eBay for a couple/few hundred bucks. If you're looking to go bigger than a 2x2 on the same box- look into old/used Dell Poweredge or HP Proliant blade servers. In the long run vs renting a server, it may be cheaper to just upfront the cost a of one or more of these babies and chain them together. The increased load on your electric bill will be far less than the cost of a rental. NOTE: DO. YOUR. RESEARCH!! BE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING!!
  19. A pirate violated by piracy... Unfortunate m8 but that's the game.
  20. @Khilandros Any way to get this thread copied/stickied to Dedicated Server Discussion? People seemingly having trouble finding it one category over Any word on edit capabilities?
