Maybe try logging out then back in and killing again. If you're in a starter area your body will disappear with all your stuff so when you login you're safe. If you leave starter area your body is then in "sleep mode" and can be looted/killed

Was actually a good read. I agree 100%. At the moment, it's very fun and playable. But very frustrating considering there was clearly no actual testing. So many settings need fine tuned by a TON to even be able to call yourself a "Pirate" that sails the seas. Good luck out there guys. I'm obviously still playing the game. The dev's have actually done a great deal fixing their constantly fucked up game... which... is impressive to say the least. On a side note to all you "It's EA stop bitching" fucktards out there. Yes it's an EARLY ACCESS game. However, being early access shouldn't mean "Buy this, it's broken... but we will eventually fix it enough to let people play it". All you guys constantly bashing on people who've been complaining and saying that the "new generation of gamer's are just privilaged whiners", you may have a point, BUT you dont know any of us. You don't know our ages, you dont know what games we've played, you dont know our fucking gaming background. This is a forum for the game. The game has been broken from the start. People are going to be upset. It's normal. Don't like the whining and complaining from new and veteran gamers then here are a few steps for you. Please see below. 1.) unplug all cords from pc 2.) take it outside and place it gently on the ground 3.) run it over with a car/smash it with a hammer/toss it in a lake or ocean. 4.) Grab your phone out of your pocket, unless it's what you're reading this on, then in that case just hold it. 5.) Walk to the bathroom 6.) Gently place phone into toilet 7.) Flush said toilet 8.) Repeat with all portable electronic devices unless it's to big, if item is to big gently place it in the shower and turn the shower on plug the drain and walk away. Then go on about your bad self without the internet because you need a safe place and the internet isn't it. Good luck out there in the real world if you cant handle a forum lol

God the Chinese player surge is unforgiving now... They need their own set of servers... Not being racist... just realist considering the NA server's are filling up hardcore with people on the other side of the world. If you're Chinese and live in the NA then by all means use the servers. But HOLY HELL...

it's pointless to play outside of freeports. best to do is go outside of freeport to a lawless, drop a ship build spot, go back to freeport, gather, go back out build, go back in, gather, go back out build, repeat

well having a duo get raped by about 12 motherfuckers sitting outside of a starter zone was stupid. Like... the fuck guys. give people a chance. "You attacked first" no motherfucker you kept shooting arrows at me... so we defended and asked you to stop... "NAAAAA"... yeah... i'm out for the night. this shit's stupid and full of fucking 12 year olds with no lives. i'm out till i cool off.

Nothing like 12 hours of actual gameplay to get out of all starter zones and then get ganked by fucking assholes and having to start ALL over again. Thanks guys. Fuck you all. That's fun.

that's a pc problem not a game problem. never hard reboot unless absolutely necessary and even then let it go through all diags when you start it back up. i'd restart it again. If you dont know computers well. i wouldn't dig to much into it. Get someone else to look at it.

Yeah but with as many people doing that, they're scarce in most areas. I usually survive long enough till i'm sick then stash everything in storage, die, respawn.

Ok everyone post tips and tricks here. Raft: 1.) Don't overweight it. if it's overweight it'll damage a lot faster. By a lot i mean 5 minutes and you're at about half. 2.) Don't place anything near your sail. It'll cause headaches when trying to actually sail. 3.) If you don't plan on doing solo, i'd first upgrade your crew members before upping anything else. Survive: Take your time trying to get wood at first. Get a few good hits in "1/4" health. Then let health regen. Utilize your yellow and orange vitamin bars to survive at first until you get cooked meat. Once you have meat eat an even number to keep your first 3 bars up. *They don't need to be max, keep about half way if possible. As long as hunger is full or nearly full you're fine!* By the time you need fish... god help you. Crafting: "What i did" Tools weapons bow - follow bow tab to learn bow and arrow engram advanced tools construction - till raft. Remember to follow the tabs at top as you unlock. *Other* Every level seems to give you a new respec.

If you overweight it, it goes down SO fast. Make sure to keep an eye on weight. Had to dump about 1k wood and stone on mine. would take about 5 minutes to hit half

LOL @Original poster. I've been on spots where i only survive as long as about 3 seconds. i've been in area's that i survive for hours. Takes patience. I've died probably about 1000 times now, leveled to max in freeport/lawless area 3 times and had character randomly wiped. lost rafts and everything. takes patience. They've come a LONG ways in just a few days

Anyone else not seeing any servers yet? I know it's a big update and they have a TON of servers now, just curious as to if i'm the only one or if it's a problem on my end.

Just put lowest settings possible. Try that. Theres also other game enhancing software you can download that lowers your pc graphic settings for your actual pc while playing games. Enhances gameplay fps on low system specs
