Nope, just means you cant use a lawless as a home spawn without a bed

I put one up but it had to be in just the perfect spot, took me a good 5 minutes to get it just right too

Yeah, in lawless you can only respawn on beds that are on rafts and ships

People cannot build within a certain radius of your structures so i think that's what your seeing, so in a sense, building in lawless marks your claim.

If they have moved on, after 4 days you can demo their crap atleast. 1 day left on one of my neighbors and i can take a prime spot for a large shipyard, lol

I've really been enjoying lawless and my neighbors are friendly, but your results may vary depending on your neighbors/server

You can build in lawless and not have things stolen (well as long as you pin code your boxes and keep smithies and what not locked up). There is a 4 day decay timer that resets as long as you login before the 4 days, and you also have to have your bed on a raft/ship because they dont work on land.

I live in lawless so no worries about losing it as long as I log in every few days to reset the decay timer, but Id hate to finish it, release it then has same loser sink it, so it will sit and Ill take my time on it, and when its fixed and ill sink it on my own terms

Reading all these threads about people sinking ships in pve scares me, my server has been pretty friendly, but all it takes is one group of griefers to ruin every ones day. I think ill be keeping the brig Im slowly working on in dry dock until its fixed

+1 Only have to log in once every 4 days to keep your stuff and use rafts/ships for beds, but it beats haveing to play 24/7

You have to put a straight pipe then the tap on the pipe, for some reason you can just directly tap the resivoir. But if theres water in the resivor it will auto fill you skins. You can also drink directly from the tap

If you hit "t" while you try to place the pipe it will change what type it is. Question, can anyone not in you company use a tap? Im on pve and lawless and see a lot of new players so I want to set up a community watering hole

You put a pipe and tap on them, and you can drink from the tap or fill water skins/jars

Resoivoirs fill without rain, as long as they go into stasis (no one logged in around them). Just tested it myself and all had water in them after half an hour or an hour in stasis. If your in a busy spot with people around 24/7 then they may never fill

Lawless or claimable? Our resources were spawning really quickly in a lawless island. Had probably 7 or 8 people farming the area of various companies for several hours tonight and never seemed to run out resources

Your shipyard was probably in water that was too shallow

The lag is way better in the freeports now, didnt even notice any the last time I was in one. They made it so sleeping bodies dissapear so theres not hundreds of bodies laying around

I'm too casual to survive pvp in Atlas. I play with just my wife maybe a dozen hrs a week. But we managed to get almost 2k hrs each in ark with just doing pve so we are pretty good at finding stuff to do, lol. I get my pvp fix from Destiny 2.

Fortunantly I'm on pve and ship stealing on pve was patched yesterday, but I see your point on a pvp server.

Something does seem off. I'm not noticing decay at all. I logged off anchored just offshore of a lawless island about 12 hrs ago on my raft with about 9k hp left (had a few croc run ins yhat damaged it). After seeing this post I logged back in to check and it still had about 9k hp left. So maybe just anchoring near any non freeport land is the key?

Can't use a bed on lawless land or land someone else owns. They do work on rafts/ships just offshore of lawless land and claimed land
