  1. Yeah I believe both the aging mechanic and the claim system are both horrible ideas. I smh about it all the time. They were trying to be new and innovative and all, but they are good at that kind of stuff. They just shouldn’t have done it.
  2. The one(possible) solution might work for atlas but it definitely wouldn’t have worked for ark since all they would have to do is run around there island is proximity reset timers. the thing is it would still make it to where people could have as whole island but by making it to where you can’t just simply log in to reset timers. by doing this if they wanted multiple islands to just control and keep people from building, they would have to actually sail to all of their islands and get within a close range to any of their foundations. some die hard pve trolls might go through that, but a lot of normal people wouldn’t see that as being worth it wasting their whole day trying to keep all of their timers reset. Once again for small areas this wouldn’t change anything but for multiple servers/islands I believe it would change a lot
  3. Yeah I really can’t believe they did the claim crap. Blows my mind really. They will learn though
  4. I have a feeling they will realize how stupid the claim system is and scrap it, not lawless. i mean every single aspect of the claim system is stupid. Not a few aspects, every aspect. By far the worst idea they have ever had. once they smarten up it will be like ark where you can build anywhere and there is just the buffer between bases.
  5. Yes, very. It they mess up, call them on it. If they do a good job the. Ok, give them credit. Even if some people don’t do it, it is about being a better person than they are.
  6. They might have actually used [][][][] in the first place. Just saying
  7. Very true, but even though it is sad that people have to choose unofficial just to play the game, ot is even more sad that people do not just stop because the game is in such a bad shape. unofficials are a good thing, as well as a bad thing. Unofficials make it to where even if the co pant sucks you still play the game because you make it your own game. even though Unofficials are a better opinion, I still see them as the problem as well. No wonder the devs don’t have to do anything
  8. Ah ok, that makes a lot more sense now. Which is also a good idea, but maybe next time state that as well
  9. Yeah unfortunately you have to wait about a year or so and then you will be able to make the blueprints. Just how is goes with these guys Nah, different problem, this is an ark problem
  10. Everyone that hates atlas, hates it for a reason. Everyone that loves atlas, loves it for a reason. The only thing we have in common is that we want atlas to be good, right? from this moment on, I will set a challenge for everyone on every side of the spectrum. if they do something good, I am along everyone on the anti side to be cool with it and give credit where credit is due. on the other side. I will also expect the pro side to be just as passionate(no matter what their view) that if they messed up, you call them on it. Can you do it? I can. If you don’t join up, it’s on you. We all know how wildcard is but until there is a true united front, nothing will happen. screw it jean, yeah it was good they banned people. I won’t even say anything else. at the same time, shouldn’t matter if you like the stone change or not, you know a lot of people don’t like it right? Then hop on board.
  11. Yeah no huh? Talk about opposites attract. Dont worry man, I am still on team anti wildcard. I don’t like his ass either, but it does get pretty interesting when common ground comes into play. Almost intriguing to be honest. It’s like ok, let’s see how far we can get this ground going lol
  12. To be honest we actually might. This happened on the ark forums as well. “Some” people I thought I was just a troll and then they saw something different.i have no problem disagreeing with people and my mind never changes, but I do like it when I can find someone I usually argue with and find a common ground. that shit is game changing right there. we could all be a very dangerous asset to wildcard if we wanted to be. Just need to find the common ground first. then after that, the stuff we disagree on, we just agree not hinder the process. We have all stifled each other at some point really
  13. Wow I actually agreed with and liked your comment. Hell just froze over. I feel a little dirty right now, but in all honesty sometimes is feels good to feel a little dirty. Legal, but I will keep saying unethical till I am blue in the face. It is what it is, sure, but man the gaming industry is going downhill with pure laziness and bottom dollar bs
  14. Hey loni, yeah that was a typical thing with ark as well. Many because of Dino upkeep or decay timers, depending on pvp or pve. To be honest, nobody here is as passionate as I am. They might say they are but they are full of it. I spent over a year wasting my time calling out wildcard for bs. I was on ark twitter everyday. They recently finally did the kibble rework and are finally starting s plus. I told them congrats, it had been 2 years since I said anything good to them. Now I see them doing the same thing to atlas. I will not stand by and let another possible favorite game be turned into shit because of their poor decision making. I won’t allow it.
  15. Not trying to argue by the way, and not saying the idea isn’t bad because it isn’t, it’s just there will always be a way around the limitations.(lets keep it friendly just this once) first we will go with my old argument. If you limit claims per company, the 500 person company will diverse and keep dividing, to maximize claim amount. Good example is small tribe servers on ark. They didn’t even have a limited claim but still broke up and then built close together. the sad part is the “big group” mentality is actually the problem. Yes, I fully understand wanting to feel the sense of belonging and reaching goals and all that. william(my name as well). I actually like your ideas, please don’t think I don’t. And I am not shutting you down or even disagreeing with you. i just know the fan base. I have been in Megas, alphas, only 50 man, only 25 man, 6 man, duos, and solo. i really loved every aspect of ark to be honest, even though the devs were very seemingly incompetent. Great idea, bad execution. If you think atlas is different then there will be a disappointment coming. mind you I didn’t say that atlas is the exact same as ark. I am telling you to get used to the “great idea, bad execution” because anyone that tells you different will be Mia leading you.
  16. Well tell her that is will either be very pleasantly surprised or very pissed off. Who knows, they might surprise us, and I am really hoping they do(yeah no shit), but most of the hope is gone man. Just seeing how things are unfolding, I don’t see much change. as far as fear of water, or more so drowning, that is something people need to get over. Even with my extreme fear of heights, in my fire academy we had to climb to the top of a 75 foot extension ladder on a truck. Then lock our legs in and act like we were falling backwards. people need to face their fears rather it is real life or in game. Fear is what is considered irrational. Once you face it, it’s over. The problem is facing it. but in all reality, it took me a year to get big into water taming/breeding because of the challenge it had. I loved it. Not sure if you are familiar with the blue mushroom cave on the rag map but I built a supreme base there. Completely unraidable, well I thought unraidable until a meager got there no hard feelings even towards the mesher now. I spent way too much time on ark the past few years. I’ll get on to help some buddies grind every once in awhile just to help them but wildcard just did wat too much bs for my liking. sure I will still buy atlas on console, but believe me, once I start playing, you will actually see the passion come out and it will be a lot worse then this. This is nothing but being calm right now. I will hold them to learning and I will hold them to their own experience
  17. Not that simple man, if they are intending to make a higher tier smithy(they are) they won’t do it because then the new smithy won’t matter. Believe me, what you are saying makes sense but in order to understand any of this you have to be an ark veteran. If you are an ark veteran, you should have seen this coming. It is disappointing yes, but now it is not surprising. They should have learned from last time
  18. Oh no guys. In ark they had blueprints that couldn’t fit as well. This means they are bring in a tek tierish, smithy later on. god I was hoping they were finally done with that. its like, ok you guys want something that is a higher tier later on, we get it, that’s cool. Why be stupid and put the blueprint in before the actual “bench”. Jesus Christ wildcard pisses me off. knock that off already. It’s like you are bringing the worst parts of ark over and leaving the best. What is wrong with you guys. this is soon going to turn into the ark forums. I am seeing a lot of the same complaints that ark had. WTH guys! I totally get you, but no, they shouldn’t have made that mistake in the first place this time around. Now people are waiting for a “tek” bench. Smh they should have learned. They said they did but they didn’t
  19. Because the reason is you need to look at what the animal tamed at. Every time you tame something, give the animal the name of 50/150 melee or somewhere along those lines. It will help with breeding. Rather you want a weight animal or melee animal, you don’t bother too much with the level it was. Just name them by level and stat and you will figure out which tames you want to breed They haven’t added mutations yet so don’t over think It too much
  20. Hello envie, even though I haven’t seen game of thrones I can pretty much get the point of what you were saying. see, the unfortunate truth is that the most passionate will actually leave after betrayal is felt. That is what this dev company needs to start realizing. with ark they did listen to a hardcore fan base. With atlas they are not, they are listening to idiots streamers. It’s not even a real job the die hard ark fans are pretty damn loyal. Even I will admit that. But once you just start trying to be trendy, wildcard will find out exactly how badly they messed up. To be ho eat it would be better to listen to anyone that says they have over 5k hours of ark game play. Because to be ho eat these newbies have no clue how wildcard works, so they don’t really know anything Edit: not to sure what ho eat is but I meant to say honest. Lol
  21. Oh yeah I am with you on that man. It just seems like an easier fix then them trying to fix a stupid idea like claiming in the first place. They literally got it right with ark. Build anywhere and get raided anywhere. I will always say claims were stupid. They really are stupid. Yes they wanted to be new, it didn’t work, throw it in the garbage and let people build anywhere(besides the usual span for ark). It would solve the problem. I promise that. but believe me these guys like adding content instead of fixing so it would benefit everyone to just add more islands instead of trying to fix a dumb idea like claiming. I smh at it when I first heard about it and sure enough there it is.
  22. Even though an Atlantis style area and base setting would be good(I do agree), believe me the “pirates” are going to be so pissed off lol. they tried the whole tek tier underwater set up and ruined it. Personally I was pretty disappointed in that since I liked water tames a lot. Gave more of a challenge. i really hope they don’t try to implement underwater bases(even though I like them) because they will not execute it well. Since they don’t have tek(hope to fing god) in this game it would have to be some sort of magic, which of course hasn’t been introduced yet. So it would be a good long while before Atlantis would be around. Yes, one day I would like to see it but they would be complete idiots to try to implement it even in the next 6 months.
  23. Another quick suggestion would be to just add some more islands. Plenty of space in the sea and hours of travel to the next best thing. I am busy today so I would be able to respond as much. i get they want a lot of water, well they have a lot of water. They could afford to add extra islands and believe me there would still be plenty of sea. yes claims need fixing of course but there does need to be more land in general
