Yeah that is why I did it. My expectations will be different from my buddies and othe console players. I now know a lot of the things that are wrong so I will less likely get frustrated compared to others that don’t know it’s coming lol i was always a PvP guy but from being on the forums I figured out I will enjoy the game more with pve this go around. i am actually going into the game very positive and I am sure I will have a lot of fun now. There will be a lot of people that don’t know what to expect and they will probably get frustrated and leave. there is a reason I have been here and have my opinions. I am now ready for atlas

Yeah. Console guys are acrewed either way. Eu, na, pvp, pve. The pc guys already have it downloaded so yeah. This was a very bad design with the whole crossplay. probably would have gotten more money going without crossplay to be honest

Yeah, tek vs hide is a no brainer. The fact they even made int without having properly introducing a counter to it was faulty to say the least. almost sounds like ark and dark & light out together. That addition should not have been added until later on in development

Good thing I am starting out brand new. Bows might come in handy lol. but no, I see what you were getting at. Just saying on day one when I get a bow, I will be happy I have the best weapon in the game lol

Uh yeah, I guess technically you are correct. Unfortunately it wasn’t theirs to begin with so that is really a half truth at that point. i am just glad that I know to not use ladders just in case lol

Well since you haven’t played sea of thieves I would just like to add that you have some of the best pvp fun in the world on that game. The fact that after you die you already spawn back with another ship? Oh yeah, they are ready for another battle. not only the grind but the fear of being wiped will ensure that atlas remains a mediocre game at best. People already did that with ark lol which leads to the “same old same old” regardless of Dinos vs pirates lol it is the same thing as far as pvp goes. Wipe or get wiped with a different theme(skin) on it. no originality whatsoever. It’s sad but who knows, maybe by phase 4 they can turn something very mediocre into a good game. Yeah I tried to tell you.

Nah, ark doesn’t blow. It it actually blowed then there wouldn’t be as many people playing it. ark was a one of a kind pure success, regardless of any bugs. atlas is not. It was a complete flop. Can it live up to its predecessor? I sure hope so. I’ll have fun with it but if you want to talk about a success and a failure there is no comparison and there is no opinion. ark was a success and so far atlas is a failure. That is fact.

It is so weird how bugs and glitches are a person by person basis. We always hear the “ i never experienced that before” stuff. With me, I never encountered any glitches on fallout 76. I heard a lot of about them but I had a good time with it. might be why some people don’t believe others. Oh well this is basically just another form of social media.

That sounds like very sound advice actually and I will take it under advisement. having said that, I don’t remember pirates using grappling hooks to board their own ship. I might have missed that in the history books though

I would like to take a minute to help ease the worried players minds of what atlas might be. I am sure this game will be awesome at some point but we all need to realize there is a ways to go before it is done. you won’t see me on here complaining about bugs. I don’t do that as I am completely fine with bugs or glitches. Mechanics are something different however. I will always say what mechanics I do like or do not like. that being said. If anyone doesn’t know about Xbox game share then here will be some info. If you are unsure about buying the game but your buddy wants you to play tell him to initiate game share. By doing so you will be able to download the game without having to buy it. This way you can see if you like the game or not. game share has been a life saver at certain points of my gaming. It requires a certain amount of trust as far as your buddy is concerned but if you trust them I would definitely recommend it.

Even better. Xbox has game share so when my buddy buys it I can download it for free lol

Yep. You are completely right. Believe me I don’t just want them to throw it out and say ok everyone is on two teams. I have no problem waiting(probably a long time) for them to do a good enough job as long as it happens at some point. pretty sure once factions come around they would have gotten rid of the “total wipe” mechanic of atlas and ark. Keep the PvP on the water but bases can’t be destroyed. i has plenty of pvp fun in sea of thieves without having to wipe someone lol so yeah, I am thinking factions won’t be until phase 4 which will be pretty much close to if not at release.

Yeah that’s what I was saying. But yeah sure enough they won’t be wiping. Jay gave some reasons for why but regardless of the reasons, na pvp will be dead once the console players figure out what’s going on edit: the reason for one server being up is because they are testing crossplay. The devs are on consoles playing with the pc guys. Not an efficient test if you ask me but that is how they are doing it.

Nope. They are based in the United States. If the make the deadline it will be available 12 midnight of the 8th PST

That will not happen or work. If the game releases at midnight it will be pacific standard time at midnight. It won’t matter what time zone you go to. New Zealand people won’t be able to download until the 9th. Everyone gets it released at the same time and pacific standard time is usually what you go off of. Won’t work.
