Use billboards for big tames. Taming pens for big animals is really, really hard. Your issue is a line-of-sight problem - the game thinks you're trying to feed the elephant by reaching through that side wall in the second picture, and won't allow it. The process is so buggy and glitchy that it makes taming pure bullshit sometimes. I use a tank bear and ram the animal head-on so they sort of stick together just in case it wants to run instead of fight, beat it down and bola. I position my bear right at the animal head and wait between spam attacks to feed it (attack hits bear, dismount, feed animal, mount bear before next hit). When it stands up, ram bear into the front again. No pens needed. It's rough but works for me.

Which is such a massive shame because ATLAS is so much better than ARK. If they were to dedicate the same resources and time for ATLAS as they do with ARK then it could be one of the best games of all time.

Enablechats cheat god cheat gfi twohandedmace 1 1000 0 All kidding aside, it's impossible without an army of bears since regular weapons and explosives don't do very much damage to AoD anymore. Why, you ask, can't we use normal weapons? It's pretty dumb actually. They nerfed explosives and ranged weapons (except crossbow) because people were using ship cannons on AoD in the Golden Age Ruins to max ships really fast. Instead of making an intelligent game design, like, making ship cannons just do a different type of damage, they screwed everyone and now you HAVE to use VERY HIGH LEVEL bears since they then buffed AoD a couple patches ago too. I think the high turnover in developers and coders and lack of efficient patch notes and communication has done irreparable damage to this game.

As the title says, I want to be able to tame foxes! Like it would make sense for them to live in the forest or snow regions. I can understand that they were not in Ark but they were definitely common animals in the pirate times!

I can definitely get on board with this idea, possibly even as a shoulder pet?
