  1. I updated my server as per usual with the .bat file. The server updated no issues, as soon as I joined I was greeted with a create new character screen. I've tried everything, and I can't seem to get back to my old character. Finally, I created another character and teleported to my base, to find him sleeping where I left off last night. Same thing for another player on my server. Any tips, tricks, or whatnot to fix this?
  2. Nothing gets changed for Redis. Your cluster servers just need to have appropriate ports assigned.
  3. This weekend I might play around and fire up a 2x2, or a 3x3 and see how it does. But I don't think there's any one personal user that's going to be able to host a 15x15 off a single box as it stands right now. I probably have the PCs with needed hardware to throw together a large map, but I'll be damned if I wanna go through all that work... I'm a lazy slob.
  4. MapIMG gets exported as a JPG, and appears to go in /ServerGrid, CellIMG_X_X gets exported as PNG and definitely goes in /ServerGrid. This is how mine is configured, and works in both the server list, and the Atlas/handheld map in game. Double check the file extension in the file name while exporting as well, as it doesn't seem to change it all the time.
  5. As to why you don't want to add more than a 2x2, that's 4 servers. If you host 4 servers on the same box, you're looking at the possibility of up to 28GB of RAM (maybe even more). The RAM usage, that I've noticed, largely depends on how much one grid has going on. I ran a 1x2 last night, with one server having a fair amount of stuff, and one grid having just one basic island, and the RAM usage was quite low. You could probably add some bare grids in between if you were going for size, but dead ocean doesn't sound very exciting. I'm sure as things progress, the server load will decrease. Hopefully they'll add something of the kind as @Cronic mentioned. Or maybe a way to "sleep" or "hibernate" unused server grids. CPU usage for both of my grids stayed the same, at about 20% each. I host on an AMD FX-8370 and 16GB of DDR3, so hardware will be your limitation.
  6. I have just recently launched my server, and was able to connect and play locally. I have an AMD FX-8370 with 16GB DDR3 on an MSI 970 Gaming MoBo. I run my Ark server from this same box regularly, and an Arma 3 server with about 30 mods. My current Atlas grid is 1x1, with a decent amount of things going on. The server runs very smooth, about 25% CPU usage, and 4-5GB of RAM usage. I imagine, but can't confirm, that the more the grid has going on, the more resources required (this also includes connected players, as that uses data). My servers are generally for me and my girlfriend to play on, as we don't have gamer friends, so server load is usually pretty light.
  7. I can confirm, this worked for me as well with an ASUS RT-AC5300, my server now shows up in the in-game list for me. Thanks everyone for the help, and a big thanks to @Teach for his persistent tutoring and making a quick map for me.
  8. Well it looks like it still isn't working. At this point I'm pretty exhausted for ideas. Thanks for the help though, and the awesome looking map!
  9. Ah, didn't see that post earlier for some reason, thanks @Teach
  10. The multihome is similar to Ark, yea? I can't remember for sure, but I think it's -multihome:<publicIP>?
  11. @TeachThanks! Will give a shot shortly and let you know.
  12. I could only archive the .json files, as the PNGs are too large. Thanks! Export.zip Adding the actual project .json ServerGrid.zip
