  1. Also, I think something that everyone forgets is the fact mega tribes came around due to the fact a lot of small groups wanted protection. In the new system I think it is very likely that a lot of those groups that joined up with a mega may just go on there own again. Another thing from being in a mega I think that people do not really get is how small the active player base is in megas. Like the cap of 50 is higher than the number of active people in most NA megas, given there are more people in the group but they do not have them all active. So who really knows what will happen because in my opinion the mega groups are a product of a problem and if they can fix this problem these groups will go away or change making it more fun.
  2. Something that I have always wished for in this game was more ships. I think if they added some new ones like one bigger than a brig smaller than a galleon would be cool. So like 2 decks of guns but still 3 sails. I think it would definitely make the pvp more interesting.
  3. Well the way I see it it is a faction with independent companies. No one likes communism, so a faction is really just a giant allance that people join and work together with.
  4. It is definitely an interesting concept, the only thing that would be cool is a way to communicate. I never played the game you are taking this idea from, but I think something that could be nice would be a chat window or something. Something that would give groups a way to coordinated in a faction. So small groups can go in together or just find out where the fighting is. This would solve some problems people have with the new pvp system. So there could be constant pvp, and those people complaining about being a slave would get what they want. It is not would be what the devs advertised when they first released it but still it could make the game fun and dynamic.
  5. So I am not a huge fan of the new changes but I think we need a change. I was part of a small clan on lawless got wiped off the face of the earth 3 times and rebuilt everytime. So we joined up with a bigger group. I am not saying I am an expert but I think I can say I have experience with both so know what it is actually like. As a small group it was impossible to stop offline raiding and it sucked we even joined an island wide alliance and the whole island got wiped. I think the changes will not kill the pvp, most of the players in the beginning were in those small groups that could not cut it. If this was the real world there would be freedom and no time resteicons but the thing is, most of the people that wanted to play do have time restrictions. I know ark did not have them and ark was great but it also was not as easy to change servers/ sectors in ark as atlas. For a game like atlas to be successful, in my opinion, you need something like the raid hours. I know it is not hardcore and call me soft but maybe the game style of hardcore from the earlier games died off for a reason. The fact is most of the players are not hardcore pvp guys so if you want a highly populated game you can not have it like that. I could be wrong maybe the update will kill the game but at least it is an attempt at bettering the game.
  6. So hopefully someone can answer this, I am trying to understand the new pvp changes that will happen after wipe. I understand all of the changes except how taking an island over by force will work. For example, if I am defending an island for another company to take it from me do they need to destroy all my beds or something like how will an entire island claim flag work? Hopefully the devs said how this works at some point and I just missed it. It would be nice if I did not get any opinions on how much these changes suck or rock because honestly this will make it or break it for me.
