Conclusion: The system is actually set to be exploited to generate enough gold to sink it into ships but still reduces the amount of starter ships. ALso no need to fix treasure maps or sunken ships as nobody does anymore^^. Well you could say just remove gold costs for ships and don't generate gold with trade loops. So far it does not look like established companys have les ship than before(just need some days more to get the gold). I saw one PVE island one compnay had like 15 transport galleons... wtf...

and here we have the problem with the honey crystal trades...
you can offer it, but the problem is to guess what it goes form is it wood is it gems is it iron, basically if you have a trade partner that has honey or crystal in the list you can try to make trades that trade fiber for honey or fiber for crystal
this is based on that fact that in crystal areas is no fiber but crystal and gems
but you can try every recource, you see instantly if it is working or not in the log.
only accepted markets have a flow, ofc you can cancel or delete the other routs
btw you can watch what your trade partner offers by revisiting the traderouts and look for your trade partner, over time some ppl offer more, you just have to guess or try what they want for it
they have to be active tho
and in laweless there is a great market flow but on claimed islands there is a rly bad one, idk maybe they don't need gold xd
i think veryone that has a claimed island also playes on laweless anyway

PvE or PvP? If PvP does your Company own any Control Points? Lawless or owned island?
How long has the income been so high? Did it fluctuate with the patches?

if you rly want to put effort into an alpha trading system that makes no sense, here is how it is working atm
quick reminder this is an EA game, so things are not working as intended, some are exploitable
if this game releases, this is not the final trading system
alpha trading system:
put stuff in your warehouse you wanna trade
select your trade partners/routs that have not your resources you have
trade 1:1 only
trade stone for stone like marble for sandstone or wood for wood like softwood for strongwood
that would be it, you can stop there and make 5k a day at least
or you can push it how hard you can exploit this system
i think i am on 30k a day and i do not even give stuff into the warehouse
because i did set up trades that go in a circle, basically trading like before last patch (trading sandstone for sandstone),
i also do 3 different wood types and stone types, not only 2, and i have 4-8 active trading routs (stone wood thatch 1:1)
you just need the ppl that are doing the same
and since it is working only that way, sooner or later you notice that by yourself
you generate gold by nonsense trades
you can trade forth and back with the same ppl aswell wich is stupid
so i trade off my sandstone for marble and i receive marble, then i trade the marble for sandstone that is on my grid anyway (no need farmhouses), then it repeats, i added granite into the circle, so granite for marble and sandstone, marble for sandstone and granite and sandstone for marble and sandstone.
same you can do with the wood types and thatch, flint is an alternative
trades are high speed and automatic at the moment, wich will change
i would not want to develop such a trading system.. a pain i can imagine...
but with limits and balance it could be kinda working like that, limit forth and back trading, limit same server/island and alliance trading (exploiting) and the auto trading will be off by then anyway. no gold rewards if trading with the same person over and over again maybe aswell in the end...
maybe this system changes and is based more on resources rather than gold.
trading wood for gold is not bad either.
for spreading resources tho, this would be the better system (the currently active one)

do not make up your mind about this broken trading system, it is not reflecting anything in future, it is just running high speed for testing, it will have limitations that are not in place yet.
atm you can abuse this system in many ways aswell. you even can fake a market for getting your trade route accepted, lawless has better market flow, and the unlimited gold is just KEKW
in the end we will trade that what we need and not that we make gold with by shipping stuff forth and back.

they can coexist, it's up to the devs again to balance this right, so, on both sides nice ships to have.
and the building system is used as entrypoint for everybody, building your 1st ship, but ofc it should not be only that alone.
because of this fact, gold cost in that building system should go.

no to gold upkeep for this monster and no gold req. for barrels because it hurts solo and small aswell
everything else sounds great
please add some recources in to the trade like -herbs medical and -hide and such
maybe something is wrong with the farmhouses, i reequip the coal and it works i leave the area or log out come back after 2 hours and it has stopped and
sometimes only stacks of 9 in the farmhouse, then i have to take this stacks of 9 out and start again, then it is running until the behaviour i stated above starts.

and i want it because the claiming system is trash, but propably the new system will be trash again like the trading route that makes no gold and no trades pop up and markets loading endless
they should wipe before 24th tho, because you know, if you build up in your holiday and then new year everything is gone it would be another fu to the community

If you are going to implement that, then atleast give private server owners option to choose between each system.

well, i was thinking about this gold stuff until now, and i think it is too much
more people farm easier and faster and they have more quicker than others anyways
how about that:
1 company 1 member 1:1 gold price
1 company 2 members 2:1 gold price (double)
1 company 3 members 3:1 gold price (tripple)
and so on
1 island owner company 1 member 5:1
1 island owner company 2 members 7:1
and so on
the set amount of gold ranging from 5k over 25k to 50k would be "ok", if you are island owner
on PVE the average island owner had between 100k and 500k in the flag last season
obviously for island owners it is not a problem at all to pay that amount
after a certain time tho
this gold comes from making maps, over time
who is making maps if noone is playing?

brings us to the trading route
this is not tested at all
and i guess they want to test this how much gold it produces
so we have to differentiate
island owner company
-splitting in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5+ members
island allied/non allied/settlers company
-splitting in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5+ members
laweless company
-splitting in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5+ members
the island owner company i already described their gold income, tax from maps
the settler company doing maps and ocean treasures and they get a benefit if the island owner sets the flag to pay for allies (wich will not rly happen at a new beginning)
laweless company can only do maps and ocean treasures
since laweless companys are only doing maps and few treasures, the main gold comes from the laweless companys
ofc island owner company or settler companys do maps aswell, but for experience later, so later they do not need the gold, but laweless does, and the gold gets more and more for island owners
if a island flag has lets say 250k in it, and you pay 20 % tax, you know how many laweless/settler companysmust have been there
so at the beginning there will be gold and experience for all the companys
but later the laweless/settler companys have no gold anymore, they have no additional income
thats why i say compensate beeing a laweless/settlers company a little bit, 5k are too much to motivate people to play

but as i stated above you can do this if you want to make the people play for time not for fun aswell:

so the laweless ppl produce enough gold for island owners
i once said there is no reason to have an island,
well
now you have one, but it does cost you yor laweless players that won't farm shit, so the island owners won't have that much in the bank anymore
then it comes from the settlers, but why should settlers farm this 5k and 25k and 50k
you see if only one side wins it sux, the island owner
so lets make 1k for schooner and the gold comes in slower for island owners but at least you have players
lets not forget the shops, some parts are expensive af
you will see this will ruin a lot if the trading route is not OP.

1st, Reduced Transport Radius of Warehouse from 500m to 450m
this is kinda ridiculous, i can not place FARMHOUSES in that range because farmhouses are blocking eachother so i am out of range for the WAREHOUSE
so if i have 3 farmhouses only 1 warehouse can connect to it...

they should use the trade route to send recources/items to your base that can be ambushed that would be dope
and btw
since laweless is a stupid circle, all the materials are there except ironwood (even if you do laweless on the outer circle it is stupid to just drive a circle, and you still have a new inner circle with propably the same materials but only these islands are claimable wich would be the better choice so people are closer to golden age ruins and the maw, if you make an inner claimable island circle the vast majority of the various recources has to go wich i would do with laweless now, rly just driving a circle and having all the various materials 5/5 it not good, i've never visited claimable islands for anything else than treasure maps)
i think we need the old map again or the current one heavily edited, mats and islands, remove almost all rare mats from the inner laweless circle and give claim islands the rare recources.
they maybe have to work on rarity of recources aswell

- overlaping areas, first tower that is on full health owns all structures in its radius, even if another towers radius is overlaping afterwards
