Well guys, I'm out for this season allready.

Maybe next season there's some fixed bugs.

Take care all, that goes for the devteam as well.

I hope you guys do the right thing as priorities will be set.

Yeah same with me, I know nothing will change to improve it in the short term just from what they have done so far so I am taking the break also. Hopefully next season it has turned around but I won't hold my breath.

In the announcement it says it won't collect those from farmhouses because the farmhouses use wood and thatch for fuel.

Honestly its a pointless building and would have been better to put limits on farmhouse numbers while increasing their radius and capacity instead.

The farmhouse could have just stacked more just like the warehouse and you wouldn't need to put both down.

I don't get why they need both, warehouse just takes more space on island. Hopefully they remove them.

I understand the warehouses being near the water.  It part of a movement to stop large companies  from being completely invulnerable.  The only people who complain about that are the large companies . Boo hoo.  My main issue with the warehouse is that it does not collect wood and thatch which defeats the whole purpose of the building itself .

It is the large radius of the warehouse, you will be lucky to get more than 1 person per island. On lawless you can't place 1 if someone else has one down because of large area. This is penalising other people who live on the island, what is the point in them if only a few people can have them and others not? That is not balanced gameplay at all.

While I certainly share your frustrations, perhaps early access isn't for you, especially with this company. These warehouses are an easy fix. In fact many of the things that became broken with this patch other than the overall barrels (which don't seem well thought at all) can be easily fixed. None of us here paid for a complete game experience and with some of the boundaries this game is pushing, there's going to be a shit ton more things that go wrong before they go right. Regardless, ranting about it each week here and on Twitter isn't really constructive and your coming off as a cry baby. Quit already or STFU. No one cares if you're storming off and going to your room to pout. Clearly your expectations for this company will never be met because they're pretty shitty as a whole and put out substandard gaming software. I for one have come to understand this and enjoy playing the game for what it is, not for what I wish it were and when they fuck up like they have this week, I offer some solid constructive feedback instead of empty threats that I'll leave, only to say I'll log in every few days so I don't lose my shit.... Lol

I don't think you understand though, I've played since day 1 and bugs from day 1 still remain.  You say these are easy fixes, don't you think we all now that? You are telling this to the wrong person, you need to tell the dev team which we've been saying from day 1.

When they can't fix something from 2 years ago you know it's destined to fail, I'm sorry if you have your heart set on a fully release game but it isn't going to happen I'm afraid.

As for you, I couldn't care less whether you hate me posting here or not, I will continue to do so, sorry to disappoint. This is a forum and yes you are welcome to post here also. When you've got over 1000hrs in the game I might take more notice, until then enjoy the game. Some of us have tested the game from the beginning but I'm guessing from the amount of input in the forums you are late to the party.

get this... placed a warehouse down last night. came back this morning and had resources growing all through it and looked like shit so i demo'd it and build a floor for it. tried to place back down and it wouldn't snap to floor, at all. destroyed floor and tried to replace in it's original place... despite the blue highlight i get Warehouses in area 1/1 when i try to place... again, this is with a blue structure outline with no conflicts. so i try moving down the beach 50m, 100m, 200m away and still the same 1/1 warehouses conflict.

so how the hell was someone able to place their warehouse down near mine but i am not able to place mine down back in it's original location or anywhere near the area despite not having any conflicts. and no, it's not because they put it down in the 10 minutes i had mine up because i would see a red structure highlight.

Exactly, that's what happened to me. You've removed it and someone else has placed one down somewhere, the area of the warehouse is that large that it's literally 1 per island. I have the exact same problem, gave up with it though, time for another long break from the game.

  6. If they ever took the game serious enough they would 1. not have ignore the community and went silent for 6 months and 2. they wouldn't have took devs from Atlas to put on Ark they are the only 2 things you need to know to whether they are serious or not. Get any idea out of your head as to it being anywhere near like the video that was show, carnival atmosphere, lots of people around, big attack on land from the sea, not going to happen.

  7. Yes the area for the warehouse is far to large, even on a big island your more than likely only able to place 1 which penalises everyone else living on it. Why should 1 company have the benefit of a warehouse and everyone else doesn't? Either fix it and allow 1 per company or take them out altogether.

I tried placing one for ages yesterday, I only see 1 which is nowhere near where my base is yet it says can't place here 1/1 already placed.

  8. I've gave up with it for now, i've got to that point again where I just can't be bothered with it anymore, knew it wouldn't take long. I will log in every few days to reset timer but that is it. I'm done with it for now until next season again to see what has changed, if it's the same I won't be playing.

Total piss take this game, one big troll. What they do behind the scenes I will never know because they certainly don't test anything. 1 person allowed to put a warehouse down per island on lawless? That is ridiculous, it wouldn't even let me place it anywhere, stupid.

There is one thing they are good at and that's turning players away, that's all they're good for.

  9. The damage to the game is irreversible, there is no chance they could pull off something like No Man Sky did. They don't understand the code to change things around so what you see now is pretty much what you will see forever with a few tweaks here and there.

Lets be honest, how much has changed in the 2 years since release? Not alot has changed, most of it has stayed intact and that should tell us everything. The game needs building from the ground up but it won't happen. Their main priority is Ark which I've never played and I don't want to either.

  10. They contradict themselves, they've said "we want to move away from land based content and move onto the sea" yet they are giving us more buildings for land and automated resources. I thought Jat and Dollie were bad but this lot, whole new level.

The farmhouse does the same job as a warehouse could do but they've got 2 separate buildings, they must be paid peanuts to be working there.

  11. They may as well just merge it with PvP and have done with it, that's what they're aiming for.

Don't see point in warehouse if you have to fight over who places it down 1 per island. Scrap the whole thing and build on a new engine like unreal 5

  12. Has anyone actually managed to put one down? When I try to place it near farmhouse it says "out of placement range" I've moved it all over the place and all I get is the orange colour. Sometimes it says needs to be on floor when I am on the floor. Tried to place it near shore area and still no luck. I've give up with trying to place it, more hassle than it's worth.

  13. You will have to wait 2 weeks at least for the dingy to vanish I think, will be less now you have waiting for 6 days. I personally think the timers are bugged or broken for ships, I remember reading patch notes at the time and said 14 days but I also had 2 galleons in my base near end of wipe about year ago and I waited and waited but never vanished. Took just over around 4 weeks to vanish.

1 hour ago, Ghost Pirate LeChuck said:

Decay timers have always confused me. Pre last wipe we had a galleon outside our base for months.. easily over 40 days.

I read somewhere that by boarding the ship it resets its timer? Is that true? So by anyone coming along and boarding a ship it resets the timer and could be there indefinitely if enough people were being nosy.

I believe so yes, I think this might have been part of my problem with galleons, I stepped on them occasionally not realising. I always thought you had to physically move the ship or at least interact with it like being on the wheel etc but yes I believe all you need to do is just be on it, anyone can do this.

There is a sign up on server I am on, ship been there ages and someone put a sign up "do not board ship to reset timer"

    wait a minute...

you know for 1,5yrs about the noodles clipping through walls and killing tames... and yet you still build like it does not happen and being surprised that it STILL does...?

you know for 1,5yrs that the tames get dropped of the ships... and yet you not make a head count when you change servers...?

you know for 1,5yrs that walled-in-taming/obstructed glitches the animal and moves hit box AND that the animal is more aggressive against you when you made the damage in the first place...?

this is like "Yeah, it says on the microwave to not dry my cat in it, but I still do and expect different results, because Karen!!!"

I don't know where you have been going for your microwaves but I suggest you go there no more.

    @George Catcher

We are still selling giraffes and eles like hotcakes. Bears have slowed a little but thats bc it seems everyone is doing thier own breeding.

There also seems to be a ton of folks doing maps (where else do people get massive amounts of gold?)

As to my 1000000 peice base... wouldnt need that if I had a some bigger peices (ie 2x2, single tile or a 3x3 single tile..) or a premade dock (slighty bigger than a large shipyard, that can snap ceilings to..).. a dock setup along would remove 300-500 pieces...

    @Cpt.Yarrr

I dont think weve gone 540 degrees yet... the farmhouse is nice and all, but when you want that galley your either waiting a few days or out there farming up mats... Even from an early game meta, the only thing changed thus far would be a rush to fsrmhouse instead of a rush to tame.

I really dont think thats a bad move... eventually youll still get an ele and giraffe or two, its just a lower priority.

Honestly i think the ship changes (whenever they come) will be the indication if they are going the right or wrong direction.

Surprised at you selling alot of elephants and giraffes, I'd be interested to see if this continues with the autocollect through warehouses. Personally I buy any bears I need, there is no way I will sit there for 4 hours hand feeding a bear berries, just not for me I'm afraid.

People also get the gold just by doing wrecks, that's how I have the gold so far, not done 1 map yet, just not interested enough. Found a few high level wrecks to get me well over 1000 gold. By the time I got to a destination I had about 7000 gold.

As for building on shipyards I know this is possible with the small shipyard because my friend used to put 2 small ones together and build his base on it but not sure if you can snap them to a large shipyard.

Once next Tuesday comes I will be well into Microsoft Flight Sim anyway, so Atlas will see even less of my time now than it has. I think they only way I will enjoy it more is giving it a very long break until dare I say it, they add more content.

  16. People can still use the animals to get resources yes but they are not needed. If you do use animals still it won't be long until until it creeps into your head saying why am I doing this, everyone else isn't.

PvE needs more content more than ever if they are going down this automation route. In PvP it is not so bad as you are hunting other players but PvE it just gives you less to do.

They said they are breaking away PvE into something else, we still haven't heard what that is. It wouldn't surprise me if PvE is merged with PvP next season

I've seen very little content over the years. How hard is it to put quite alot of cosmetics in the game like weapons and clothing. To me it seems like they struggle to understand coding.

If they are struggling on the game engine then I would much prefer them to start on another but they won't do that will they, not when they find it convenient to transfer code from Ark.

When released they wanted 40k players playing, first day was madness lots of players everywhere now lucky to see any. The game could have had more than 40k players had they done things right and not pissed everyone off but that would require good devs which this game doesn't have.

  17. What they should be doing is looking at how other games do it, quests maybe sail to location or drop off a shipment of supplies etc. More content to as a group which includes a group finder so you can always do them when others are looking to do it.

Auctionhouse or market across all servers but this would require alot more content to be added. At the pace they are going I have no hope for the game. If there was a real pirate MMO game I'd happily pay a subscription every month but there isn't any. You have 0% chance of these people making the game anywhere near what we all thought it was going to be. Just have to enjoy it how it is. They've binned 2 road maps already I think, that should tell you everything, no direction.

Sorry Peg but Atlas is not a realistic pyrate game at all, torpedos, submarines, pyrates vs pyrates, pyrates building or eventually buying their ships, kraken, dragon, hydra etc. Although to be honest I actually do like the myth side of Atlas cos it reminds me of pyrates of the caribbean. Personally I hope skull and bones is still on the horizon. because it does look pretty darn realistic. I think the charm and appeal for me of Atlas is the fact it's not just a straightforward pyrate battle game and it does include some sailor myth and legend. As for Atlas pve, I think I can safely say that the devs will be phasing it out. Cos there will eventually be very little to do.

I was excited for Skull & Bones when it was first mentioned until I saw videos and read that it is a small co op game with small map, I was under the impression it was an open world game with many players but it didn't look that way to me which was disappointing.

It will still be more of a pirate game that Atlas is I just wouldn't get your hopes up over this game if I was you. If only someone could come up with a real open world pirate game, done right it could be very successful but Atlas won't be long term.

  19. When the game gets to easy I wouldn't even play it at all. Now warehouses will auto collect for you what work is there to be done?

If there was alot more content added then fine but right now there isn't. I like the farmhouse but feel the game will get so easy that more people will just leave.

Gotta have that self achievement and work for something otherwise what is the point? That just my opinion though, many will probably love everything done for them.

  20. I noticed a reduction in players on server I am on also. The novelty wears of quickly if you've been around since the beginning.

We have been through wipes many times, trouble is they are not adding enough content to draw people back.

Then you have the griefers blocking and trolling to the point where people give in and just don't play it. I will be very surprised if this ever got to full release.

The farmhouse has only just come out so how you got on before hand with never using farmhouse

Yes but we are talking in the context of farmhouse. Of course I used them before. The point is it is taking those tames jobs away.

I have thousands of stacks of wood to keep me going and if you have several farmhouses well you have more than you know what to do with.

Now it looks like auto collect into warehouse you won't need to worry about wood or most resources ever again. You will need a carry tame of course which I use giraffe for but could still use elephant to carry but its not their sole purpose.
